My worst nightmare....

I bought the Family fun pack for my birthday yesterday.
Installing it was perfect.
I load it up, click on my Sims house and unfortunatly,
all the walls are red.
Like bright red and darker red.

This and this

I moved them to another house and another
[[its not bad, I'm always moving them]]
and they're all the same.
What's wrong?

Not right now.
The game is on my computer that doesn't have internet access and I can't get the screen shot.

The exact same thing happened to me on my laptop! I had to uninstall it. Unfourtnatly there is nothing you can do. Its your comp. sweatdrop

The problem is FFP does not work with all (or as it seems most) video cards. The bad news is you can't do anything about it short of buying a compatable video card. This is a very bad mark in my book for Maxis as it does not work on my Laptop, and my only option is to dish out 700 bucks for a new one (you can't change the video card in most laptops). What I fear is the next XP will be the same way.

I forgot that it was the graphics card... rofl Now that I mention it- load the game up again and place a hot tub on the lot- if the water is red, then we have a pure confirmation

No the past EPs should work. Univirsities (uni) may bog down your comp. if move into a 15 man dorm.

The plus, and minuses of Uni (my favorite)

+ has 7 (or some such) new jobs
+ all the new jobs have fun new job rewards (I love the Cow Plant who eats sims you don't like, and you can milk it to extend the life of one you do)
+ gives you a new life section (young adult)
+ new ways to interact with other sims (hang out, and more)
+ half way threw collage you gain 2 more wants
+ for completing collage you gain a total of 6 wants
+ once you have completed collage you can lock 2 wants
+ you can make zombies....

- collage takes a long time (too long at times)
- its buggy (but there is a patch)
- you must go to collage to get a chance at the new jobs (although you can go one day and drop out and still get them)
- most of your sims time is spent studying for collage
- dorms can really slow down your computer, and houses cost a bunch
- you can make zombies....

All in all I give it 9 / 10. I really like this EP

Night Life comes in second.

+ you gain a new aspiration pleasure
+ you gain a 'down town' to take dates
+ you gain likes/dislikes which helps find who your sim will fall in love with
+ you can set up blind dates for you sim
+ there are vampires, and your sim can be turned into one
+ you can buy your sims a car

- loading time to get to 'down town' can take awhile ( I seldom use it)
- the like/dislike thing can work out horrably for you (now just cause you like a sim does not mean your sim will)
- the pleasure aspiration is a let down (for me anyway)
- once you turn a sim into a vampire on your block watch out... everyone stands a chance of getting bite turning your town into undead land

6 / 10 It makes finding love much easyier, and was worth the money for that for me. However it does have a lot of flaws.

I have had this one for about a month, and still have not used anything from it that I know of. I really don't care much for this one.

the best expansion for me is OFB. At first when I heard rumors about OFB as expansion planned, I'm furious thinking that it wont be fun. Now I'm addicted. Almost all families I play have business by now razz .

It's not the game, it's your video card.

If you're going to trade the game in for something else, go with OFB. It's my favourite expansion. whee
