Was anyone else suprised at how small the amount of pages was for 5 years after the Jinchuu arc?
I thought for sure that there would be at least a good 20 or 30 pages of what happened after wards and then more about when Kenji was born and Yahiko became second to Kaoru.
I'm not saying I didnt like the ending. I thought it was very fitting and I am happy that Watsuki upheld to his promise of a happy ending.

Not really; I thought it was fitting. A little nostalgic - but come on, it's a romantic story. Like you said, it's great that he kept his promise for an upbeat finale. That's part of why I didn't like Seisouhen. I like it standing alone, but not as the real ending for Ruroken. Luckily, Watsuki feels the same. ^^-
I would have liked to have seen more of post-Jinchuu life, to be honest. But also, I was upset when Watsuki changed his drawing style in the last few volumes. My favorite volumes art-wise were 5 and 6 - I thought everything was drawn phenomenally. But randomly he changed to this very curvy, flat style later on. I don't exactly mind it, but it's not my favorite by any means.
Most manga-ka seem to do that though. They improve partway through, then get sloppy. Kazuki Takahashi and Sachi Ooshimizu, for example.

I think it would've been nice if they'd shown Kenshin and Kaoru's wedding and the birth of Kenji (SeeSuckHen's version doesn't count!!!). As for the artwork, it's different, but I don't mind it per say. It seemed to lack a bit of detail though. I thought Aoshi looked best in the earlier ones, but he seemed to almost look more cartoonish in the later ones.

I'm more mad that Kenshin cut his hair. D:
But yea...I'd like to see the wedding too. I think I'll pass on the pregnancy though. >_>

It's a bit short, but I like the ending better than the ending for samurai x

I agree. I was also surprised about the short ending... which does not mean, that it was not a good one! I like the ending too, but I was confused, that nothing mentured about Kenjis birth or what happend to Aoshi and Misao, or Megumi or anything else... there is only in "Kenshin Kaden" a short information in the end... on the last 5 pages too... but nothing more. It's a little bit sad T^T. I would like to know what happend exactly after the fight against Enishi and Aoshis, Misaos, Megumis and Sanos disappear.
