Doesn't really apply to me I know, being male and all, but I tipped 53%. There's quite a few questions that can be applied to males as well but anyway. I'm not sure I really like the questions, they are just what some person percieves as 'good' manners. Australians are quite well mannered. Why question it if you don't think it's true. I feel that those questions well, weren't quite appropriate for a casual situation, which Australian life is all but centered around. I think of myself as well mannered, my Mother stressed it when I was young.
Really I think all I can round off with is that, basically it's what someone percieves as good manners. One person. One person's opinion is never valid, regardless. So yeah, I don't think the quiz, or any quizzes for that matter, have any merit.
Anywho, I do a few of those things, but I consider myself a little old fashioned to be honest. Most people in general wouldn't do many of those things. Also I can't see why tipping means good manners, it just means you have long arms and deep pockets. Australians are mainly middle class, we can't afford to tip.

Ros!e I know those tests have little merit, I said that.
D= Yarr, I thought I'd emphasise it a bit more.
Anyway, manners vary from society to society. I thought of an example last night when I was witing for Shihad to come on. Ok, in Japan it's considered polite to slurp when you eat soup or ramen. In Western cultures it's seen as rude. Australia is a western culture, but we're a sub-culture. Every country, regardless of heritage, will have different mannerisms. Honestly though, I think Americans, can be the most rude individuals in the world. I say can be, so can anyone, but they seem to have a greater aptitude for it. Everyone has different underlying values that determine manner, so it's just a point of view of what 'correct' behaviour is. I feel the conduct most exhibit in Australia is not impolite, I feel mostly we're quite well mannered people. My opinion. Someone else might have a different opinion. But yeah, that's my point. It's a cultural and social thing in our various countries.
