Omega Darkness Kaos0 i dont know there just fun everything but the back tracking I love the back-tracking. It always means that I have another chance to search for more secrets through the area. That's why the exploration is my favorite part of the games.
yeah your right i guess it helps

Michelle Pyro Cool a** music... One thing I love. Kick a** design?... Another thing. Female main character... The next. Super Cool bosses? Yeah... Another thing! Storyline/ Plot? Oh hell yeah! Hearing the SPLAT sound after you blast a Zoomer... Priceless... There are some things Money can't buy. For everything else, there's Brinstar's Master Card. I need to get that card! xd

Well... plot-wise, I think Giovanni pretty much covered everything. The main thing that keeps me playing is the exploration though. Besides the fact that I do like having a large world full of stuff to find (and interesting things the kill), I think that the Metroid series does it better than almost any other.
It's definitely awesome to start off with a Samus that can get taken down by a stray Space Pirate, and by the end of the game a whole army can't touch you. The boss battles, even the really nasty ones like Boost Guardian in MP2, are some of the most fun you can have killing aliens and robots.
I'm more of a recent fan, though I did know about Samus and who she was prior to Super Smash Bros. (blame Nintendo Power). I have both Metroid Primes, at least. Haven't gotten around to Fusion and Zero Mission, and while I got a used copy of Super Metroid a few years ago, everytime I get pretty far into it the save file goes bye-bye, thus I haven't had any motivation to beat it after about three or four lost files. I haven't played the original, and Metroid II never caught my interest when I did play it.
