I've been planning on doing this for a while now, and I'm finally getting my act together. 'Tis the season for all things witchy, so I'm getting myself geared up for a witchy movie night.

So far, the roster includes:

Witches of Eastwick
Hocus Pocus
The Craft
Practical Magic
Sleepy Hollow

For some reason, however, the list feels incomplete. Given what's listed, I'm not looking for the best Hollywood has to offer on the portraial of witches; instead, I'm just looking to be entertained, laugh at how bad some of the movies are, and perhaps start myself an annual tradition.

What I'm wondering right now is simple: What am I missing?

I have never actually seen Escape to Witch Mountain, which is odd because my mother went through a phase where I needed to watch all of the classic live action Disney's from her youth once upon a time...

Sounds like it's worth checking out, and thanks for all the suggestions, guys!

Some of these I haven't had the blessing of seeing (sighs). Well, back when I was still in my hometown, the local Pagan group made up a huge list of Pagan-themed movies and we'd pick one each month to watch at a local metaphysical shop. Here's a great one that relates to modern Pagan issues...

I Still Worship Zeus

Might as well buy the film and support their cause. =)

I don't have access to the whole list we came up with off hand, but there was another film on the list about a girl whose mother was a Selkie... I can't remember the title of it.

Kiki's is specifically about witches, though if we want to broaden the selection, Howl's Moving Castle has witches and sorcerors. The Last Unicorn has a pretty cool witch and a funny magician in it, too. But that one's pushing it. sweatdrop

heart That was a nice movie... Made me want to eat the seaweed^-^... and go by the seashore. Which is something that can't be done quite as easily now that winter is creeping up...
