What happened to Rin?

Personally, I think Rin died some time during the Kyuubi attack, but there are a few people who think she's still alive. Thoughts?

I think she's dead; no idea when, how, or where she died though.

Kakashi has already stated that all those close to him are already dead, though I have no idea what he means by close or if he was just doing that to help convince Sasuke to stop being an avenger.

it's not like Kishi showed how they train Medic-nins (so far we've only seen Sakura and all she had done for training was reviving a fish), transplants could be just another part of training...

She just barely passed the chuunin exams, and was considered to be lower lower level ninja.

Also, Kakashi said everyone he loved was "gone", implying death, but not dead.
