When watching or reading the Kenshin series, I often wonder if Kenshin ever realized that he could end of killing someone by bludgeoning them to death with his sword...

sweatdrop
he holds back really well...? xd
i think that's why he can be all "normal Kenshin!" and "evil Battosai Kenshin"
it's all about his mindset i suppose...

Wow, i never even thought of that! You know, it is kind of surprising that during all of this, he didn't hit a vital spot...Or, bash their brains in accidentally ^.^

sweatdrop i'm sorry, but it's suprising thayt people never really knew this. but in the manga, the reason kenshin can't use the hinten misturugi-ryu is because his body is too small, and fragil to handle the technechs used. and hiko's too big, and burly to use it, and so what i've learned is that kenshin's son kenji is the right size to master, and be able to perform ALL the techneches without putting any strain on his body.

I definantly think he came close to that when he fought Saitou and the Cho the Sword Hunter. I'm pretty sure you could crack some ribs by drawing as fast as he did...and if the sword didn't get you, the sheath would. XD I love that idea.

Kenshin is a master swordsman, so there is no way that he can accidently kill someone when not in his battosai mood. Plus, he ended up maiming a lot of people for life so it's not a big waste.

Kenshin's very careful to only inflict the amount of damage needed to take down an opponent. As a master swordsman, one could expect no less of him.
Hiko's not too big to use HMR. In fact, he's the perfect size for it. HMR is meant to be used by giants like Hiko rather than scrawny little girly-men like Kenshin (sorry Ken!). As for Kenji, I doubt he'll ever be much bigger than his dad so he'll probably have to watch how much he uses it in his adult life.

yeah he's so skilled he holds back just enough for the reverse blade sword to hit hard but not kill him, like he said in some episode he sees through the paper thin line between life and death, he reaches that and doesnt kill em, which makes him that much more awesome
