Personally I think that they should have stayed with their first choice of names: the Revolution. It sounds so much better than 'Wii'.

I agree that they should have kept the orgional name. Other than that, I love it. I have Sports, Zelda, and "excite Truck"... I suck at the last one.

It is actually an awesome system. I have heard that even though Zelda got two 10s from "Game Informer," Trauma Center is right up there in the fun gameplay.

Phyrexian Demon Personally I think that they should have stayed with their first choice of names: the Revolution. It sounds so much better than 'Wii'. It cuts down on precious syllables-- we'll need all we can get to appropriate proper English into the place it belongs: real life. That doesn't make sense? Well, consider this a whore-post.

The Wii is great. I wanted to get LoZ, but we could only get one game and my sister wanted Rayman. stare
I can't wait 'til Super Smash Bros. Brawl comes out.

But why Wii? Does that have some sort of meaning in Japanese?

Marcus McFlufferson But why Wii? Does that have some sort of meaning in Japanese? One of my friends theorizes that they named it Wii because "weee!" is the sound people make when they're having fun. confused It makes sense... But the name also sets it up for numerous jokes and bad puns... "I'm playing with my Wii!" eek

"Do you need a Wii?" "Come and play with our Wii." "Wiis for everyone!"
It's bad enough people use them, but stores actually promote on the matter too.
