Lovers Duo Two lovers, the proclaimed king and queen of all avians alike, came to the masquerade only to find themselves separated by the Queen's evil spell. The swan girl pined for her lost mate, whose heart turned dark, forced to wear a mask of hatred and corruption. The swan girl herself had always worn a mask proudly to show her dominion and place amongst the birds, though she had no wings of her own. Days pass by almost endlessly as lovers are forced to stay apart in their current states, for who knows what wrath the raven would inflict on his old mate if he was thrown into confusion. Finally, as the queen's spell fades, their inner pleas are answered; the curse of the masks are lifted. Both masks come off, and the raven becomes his true, pure dove self once again--however, nothing is without quirks. The swan maiden had forgotten her true nature without the mask as a barrier--one whose heart was already tainted with evil! ****NOTE: As the "unmasked" version is greatly different than the masked version, the winners of this auction must decide, if the couple is to breed, between only ONE version of the mare and stallion, which will remain the same throughout all three breedings (So you cant have a masked x unmasked one breeding, then a masked x masked the next).

A rough generalization of Echo & Khalon's backstory. Still needs much fleshing.
Echo was born 'normal'. Her parents lived in the mountain grottoes, and it was a pleasant, happy life. When she was very young, not long out of foalhood, she fell afoul of a curse meant for someone else. It stole her voice. Her parents sought help- and they found Khalon, who was tracking Tessadus. The knight couldn't refuse to help the maiden fair, so the two of them went seeking the witch who had cast the curse. In typical fairytale fashion, they fell in love.
(Or so Khalon's version of the story goes. Echo may have more to say on the matter, but she isn't talking.)
They found the witch, but she refused to lift the curse. Khalon managed to convince her to mitigate it, however; instead of being only able to repeat, she is allowed to take words heard and mix them into sentences of her own volition.
well, Khalon returned her home to her parents with an apology. Echo gave one of her own, though, and before he made it down the mountain she had left her home to follow him.
