I was talkin to this kid alright and he kept writing b instead of be. I was like how hard is it to put an e after the b! It was so annoying!

I usually say talkin' instead of talking. Probably just because that's my accent, so I do stuff like that a lot of the time.

I don't know why.

It's got to be one of the most annoying habit's going 'round. All my friends seem to do it now.

I'm pretty concious about how I spell, unless I'm just online with friend's, but even so I usually go to the extra effort.

I always feel disapointed in people who I know offline who come online and "tlk 2 me like dis". I go "I thought I knew you better than that" and I die a little inside.
It's such a rude awakening to someone's lack of effort or intelligence.

Well at least you use the apostrophe when you type, to me that's replacing a letter on purpose and not because of laziness, that totally different subjects. I approve you're trying to bring your accent to typing. It is a form of literacy.
What I'll never approve is half written words and numbers replacing real words like:
"b4 I got there"
or
"I luv you 'coz..."
or even
" This is 4 U"

I guess you guys feel the same way I do when you see words being distorted like that.

I HATE it when this happens! I usually can't think of the person the same way after than, on or offline. I find it annoying that so few people are willing to put forth that effort to talk correctly. It's like uncovering the dark side, or something.
