I like to say things such as 'zomg' and 'rofl' from time to time. I also like to use improper grammar such as 'ain't', just because I feel like doing so. It's strange, really. I LOVE proper grammar. It doesn't irk me if someone uses txt tlk sparingly, although, of course, lots of it drives me insane. Anyone else feel this strange urge to randomly use txt tlk at times?

Hm. Maybe not, then. I suppose that fits- this IS a grammar guild after all...

It amuses me, but only so much >~>
My friend and I get in Flamer Fights...
And start going all out n00b on eachother...
mad D~
I constantly use 'Srsly' when I'm joking... The thing is, I actually say 'Srsly' in real life.
It sounds sort of like...
'Surzly.' xd

When I feel the urge to use something like "txt tlk," I go hardcore and pull out the Megatokyo brand l33t.
It goes something like this:
Someone else: "Hey loser." Me: "Stfu 5t00p1d /-/4x0r!1!!1 3y3 pwn j00 n00b! "
At which point we will carry on in l33t for the next thirty minutes. wink

I feel kind of dirty when I use text talk. It's like a weird personality thing.
Sometimes I do use it, but people laugh at me because it's so uncharacteristic. I just hate when people say text talk phrases in speech.
Example:
Me: So I went to the store and . . Someone else: O-M-G what? Me: I bought cheese. Someone else: aha L-O-L
It seems a little excessive. I love it when you can't even understand what their trying to say. I feel like a codebreaker person when I have to sift through the s**t they write.

Sometimes I say 'lol' and 'omg' the way they should be pronounced, in a mockery of text talk. That's basically the extent of it.

Only when I feel like poking fun at the super-leet people out there.. or I'm sleep-deprived, feeling punchy, or am half-drunk.

I find myself using Txt Tlk and l337. But I want to crucify people who overuse it. For example: Whenever I see NE (any) I go stark craving mad. Or “u” used to substitute “you” I get pissed off. Unless you can’t type for Jack “you” only takes half a second longer to type. I digress. Anyway I find myself actually saying ‘LOL’ or ‘OMG’ for comic effect. That’s the extent of it.

Bella Catarina I feel kind of dirty when I use text talk. It's like a weird personality thing. Same here. I'll use it occasionally if I'm being especially silly. But in a serious context? No.

Yes. As a joke sometimes at school I say "Lol" (like "lawl") . Everyone knows I'm sarcastic and hate it when people write like that, so they get my stupid little joke.
I feel dirty afterwards though.

-raises hand-
I do, but I feel kind of guilty afterwards. When I'm joking around on MSN, I have the tendency to write replies such as "OH NOEZ D:", "I AM TEH 13375 H4X0R", and "pwned j00".
I definitely don't use it in normal conversations though. If I did, then I would have to shoot myself with a rifle.

Almost forgot my personal favorite word: "pr0n".
It leads me to make jokes about tiny overpriced shrimps... and sometimes indecent acts which involve shrimps.

Indecent acts.... with shrimp..... I don't want to know!
Oh em gee!!!! I would never use txt tlk! 'Cept on RuneScape or Aim... But when I do it's never extreme. I use things like 'ty' and 'g2g'. whee
And out here in the real world I utter the ocasional 'Oh em gee' and 'Oh nooooooes!'.
Yupers, that's the shiny for you! 3nodding
And 'btw' (I use that sometimes too), is it ok for me to say "yupers" and "'cept"?

The only time I would use it is when I am in a huge rush, it really is faster and everyone still knows what you are saying. But I make sure not to go overboard because then I would just get angry at myself. Not more than "u" and no capitals if i'm not mistaken.
