In recognition of February the 14th, our 8.75-month aniversary, I wrote a poem for my guitar. (One might also say it is about another love in my life, but I'm not the type that believes in symbolism.)
Alone in Guitar Center I didn’t know what I’d find. I’d let my instincts guide me Use my senses, not my mind.
Though I’d done some online research And was limited by price, I played them all so I’d be sure Before I made my choice.
So that’s what I did And one stood out miles above the rest. So I returned and confirmed The best. I do not jest.
Such beauty unseen Firm touch of her strings So happy a sound So pleasant to play Feelings These feelings took over my brain.
I saw us in the future, My first baby and I. So good for each other My baby
But why? Why? Why like a fool did I fall in love so? To tell you the truth, I do not want to know.
I don’t want to analyze Let it be what stole the beauty The beauty that’s attached Itself to my soul.
Am I as funny as I hoped? I do value function over form.

Hah. ... Well, you have good structure here; this piece has nice flow. Which is great. I like that. The topic... the topic just amuses me. But, hey, everything is grand in the embrace of love, right? Right!? whee

Okay: firstly - you're weird, therefore I like you. Secondly - No, I mean it: you're really weird... and thirdly, I liked it. I have a guitar, though I'm not head over heels for it. But I can apprechiate (cannot spell it) this relationship, as a fellow music lover. I hope you both live a long and fufilling life together. blaugh
