What will happen if you say "text" words outloud to me..

I was talking to one of the girls who thinks they're "popular" in my class and she honestly asked me, "How do you spell blonde?" When I asked her if she was serious and I started laughing, she said something that made me want to hit her over the head with a dictionary. "Omg! I was jk!" She didn't say "Oh my gosh! I was just kidding!"..She honestly said "O-M-G" and "J-K"! Not only are people starting to talk in "text" words, but some of my friends on MSN Instant Messenger have been typing "Jay kay" as if that makes it more gramatical. I do use a few "text" words on MSN, but that's only if I'm in a rush or if I type "lol" instead of typing "haha". I just honestly can't stand it when people actually SAY their "text" words. Please, please, please. I'm begging everyone! Please SAY real words or you WILL be hit over the head with a dictionary!

It can't be as bad as the time Daniel Cartelli (one of my students), handed in an essay entirely written in leet. The topic is actually still holding in this forum. It must be that bad (considering it was an essay for English Literacy)!
