Kahoko is a normal student in the General Education department with absolutely no musical skill, but all that changes when she catches a glimpse of an elusive fairy who lives on campus. The fairy grants Kahoko a magic violin, and before she knows it, she's nominated to participate in the school's music competition with five very attractive boys. Will she win love and fame, or will bitter rivalry rule the day?

User Image
Volume 2
Kahoko may have a magic violin that gives her some technical ability, but the violin's true magic is only unlocked when Kahoko "feels" the music, something she's having trouble doing in the midst of all the new tension in her life. She's supposed to be getting to know her fellow competitors, but the first stage of the competition is coming soon, and she barely has time to pick her music, let alone make new friends. So why is she so drawn to her fellow Gen Ed student, Ryotaro...?

User Image
Volume 3
The first round of the music competition is about to begin, and Kahoko's accompanist reveals her plot to get Kahoko disqualified! Unsettled by this betrayal, Kahoko can't enjoy the music, even when Ryotaro steps in as her new accompanist. Kahoko's performance is mediocre, but Ryotaro finds himself added as a second-round contestant. Will their budding friendship be ruined by the heat of competition?

User Image
Volume 4
With the second round approaching, Kahoko is finally getting invested in the competition. But her newfound determination is tested when fellow contestant Azuma unleashes his dark side at her expense. Kahoko feels threatened by his shocking behavior, but Azuma's good boy image is so strong that no one would believe Kahoko if she told. Can Kahoko withstand the pain and pressure of the music school life?

User Image
Volume 5
The much-anticipated Second Selection has begun! With two students from outside the music school now in the competition, the entire campus is abuzz. Plus, a bonus story! The young Kazuki is forced to choose between track and trumpet...and risks losing his best friend!

User Image

Then Kahoko discovers that cheerful trumpeter Kazuki has worries of his own... Plus a bonus fantasy story!

User Image
Volume 7
Is it fair to use magic to win? After a tense confrontation with Len, Kahoko makes a painful decision: she's got to withdraw from the competition. But can she turn her back on music, or has it become too much a part of her life? Even if Kahoko changes her mind, she may not be able to play again, as Lili warns her that the magic of the violin is wearing off for good...

User Image
Volume 8
Music can last forever--but magic can't. In the middle of the Third Selection, Kahoko's magical violin finally loses its power. Can Kahoko complete her performance on heart alone? Will she be able to pursue her newfound love of music any further? With such weighty matters on her mind, Kahoko is blindsided by a threat no enchantment could have predicted: Ryotaro's ex-girlfriend, who shows up determined to win back the hunky pianist's heart!

User Image
Volume 9
Personalities clash as the contestants rehearse for the Final Selection. Ryotaro is forced to choose between Kahoko and his ex-girlfriend Mizue. Len and Ryotaro cross swords over music--and Kahoko. Kazuki struggles with an increasingly painful crush. And Kahoko, now playing without magical assistance, feels she has more than ever to prove to the doubting Len. User Image
Volume 10
At long last, the Final Selection has arrived! Kahoko and her fellow contestants take the stage, knowing that only one of them can win. For Kahoko, there's even more pressure: this is the first time she'll perform without magical assistance. But after the competition, an even greater challenge lies ahead: deciding what to do next. Is music--and love--in the future for Kahoko and her friends?

User Image
Volume 11
With the Final Selection over and the magic violin gone forever, Kahoko faces a new challenge: learning to play for real! With Shinobu, a gifted Seisou Academy alumnus, as her private instructor, she begins to master the violin. But as Kahoko's friendships with the guys from the music competition deepen, she finds it harder to give her heart to music alone. And the arrival of a talented--and handsome--new student doesn't make things any easier!

User Image
Volume 12
When Seisou Academy chose two students to attend an all-star music camp, Kahoko wasn't one of the lucky ones--but that didn't stop her! Working as a janitor on the camp grounds isn't exactly glamorous, but it's the only way to pursue her dream of mastering the violin. But can she really measure up to the ultra-elite musicians at the camp? And what's the story behind Aoi, the weird (but handsome) new guy who seems to know everything about her?

User Image

At Seisou’s annual school festival, hearts are pumping, blood is pounding...and Kahoko’s love life is heating up. Ryotaro takes a break from the sports competition to make a private confession, Aoi asks Kahoko to play Juliet to his Romeo in the class play and even Len lets slip that he has human emotions. But before Kahoko can decide where her heart lies, she has another problem to tackle—the festival’s big music recital!

User Image

I bought the first volume, then started watching the anime, so...I stopped collecting the manga. Is it much different?
PostPosted: Wed Jun 13, 2007 10:42 am
I watch the anime, but I hate the main character! In my opinion, she doesn't deserve to have a magic violin. I like the other really hot guys that are actual musicians.

Also, I love it because they have music. Sadly, there isn't a trombone, but all the other instruments are cool.

I'm a musician myself, and I've been thinking about getting this for a while, does anyone think I would like it?

PostPosted: Mon Nov 12, 2007 9:04 pm
Well, I think you would like it, just because it deals with music and I am BIG into music, and I loved it.

The only qualms I have with this book, is that there's no real romance...I am voting for Len or Kazuki!
