Last names for Sims?

There's always going to be a last name for you sims, since that's the whole name for the family as well. What are your "common" and "crazy" last names?

At first i was creative, then I ran out of names, and started naming them numbers. Like 102, 103...lolz.

If you run out of names, just use the names of things you have around the house. Like.. 'Purse', 'Glass', or 'Door'. That's how I got the 'Apple' family.

Adding common suffixes life 'son', 'ton', 'by', or 'ov' helps, too. ('Purseton', 'Glassby', 'Doorov'.)

I've never run out of last names for my Sims. Some of them have common last names, like 'Fields' or 'Darcy', but some are more unusual, like 'Recage', 'Apple', and 'Rhomlou.'

I use German, Japanese, and Russian inspired last names. Then there's the crazy, weird sounding ones that come from off the top of my head.

A lot of my Sims have "normal" last names, but some of the time I make stuff up. I think I have a Thorstonfire family, and right now I'm playing the Dharmi family.

I usually find it difficult coming up with Surnames. Sometimes I just use placenames such as Lumsdale. Lesser known placenames are best cos then you don't associate them with the actual place.

If I can't think of one I just look in the phonebook until I find one I like.

My list of names:

Grey, White, Brown (I'm so creative), Velinesky (pronounced ve-lin-ski), Murphy, Conner, Jeing (for my Asian family), Seacrest, Smith, Franklin, Johnson, Jackson, etc.

watch a movie and copy names
from the credits, haha.
or just do random words
that sound kinda cool

I like using last names to make a theme for the family's first names.

For example, the "Martini" family could be two sisters named Apple and Peach.

I found a solution to this! Kind of.

I had to make a big batch of sims once for NPC's, and they all needed different last names, so I used a name generator that had "western" first and last names, so I now have a collection of about 800 last names to choose from!

So if all else fails, google "last name generator" and you'll probably find what you need!

I found a new last name on a cartoon.

It is "Bowllama".

I have no clue what-so-ever...
