(Note y'all isn't a typo. Some folks might not understand Southern linguistics)
I like theater, needless to say. I'm curious on whether any of you go further on stage than just musicals: Brecht, Ibson, Tennesee Williams...and those are just slight examples... smile

Musicals are mainly my thing... mostly because the people at my school would never pick me to be in a show for my acting. But I audition for every play! The only one I've ever gotten into was the musical "Ragtime," which used to be on Broadway and then it wasn't, but I think it's coming back! mrgreen

Last three plays I saw were, Talk Radio, Coram Boy and Scorched. All poignant and different, Coram and Talk while I was in New York and Scorched while I was home, up in Toronto. I have no qualm with either art form, both musicals and plays, I'm not partial to one more than the other. I had just seen A Chorus Line, Spring Awakening and Phantom of The Opera (all musicals) around a month or so ago, both Chorus and Spring in New York; and Phantom in Toronto not even a month ago, as well and I can say, I appreciated seeing them all. It can depend on your mood even (or just how fortunate you are to see either one). It all works for me, I enjoy them all.

I can act well enough, but I have friends who really can. They're awesome. That doesn't actually count, does it?
I can sing, though. I can sing very well. So I guess I'd be okay in a musical... Possibly.
I like movies and especially plays, too, so yeahish. I like theatre.

I love theater. I act, and I also do tech work. I specialize in running the lights and lightboard.

I like going to see plays, but I can't act to save my life.
My favorite play is Tennessee William's Cat on a Hot Tin Roof

I love that play. My AP English class read it and we spent two to three weeks symbolicly ripping it apart, studying it, and debating it. Actualy it's interesting that you mention it, it came up in a conversation with my brother last night.
As for favorite plays, I'd have to say Lysistrata. If you're under 16 dont bother reading it or seeing it however, you probably wont get all the jokes and your families would probably object to it anyway.

Yeah, you should definitely try to expand a little. Dabble in other areas of Theater such as normal plays, set design, costume design, and so on. You'll be surprised, plus you'll have more experience for the next show if you find that it isn't your thing. I hope I'm not just babbling about random things, if I am I'm sorry! D:

Considering I'm a theatre arts major, I would say yes I love theatre. ^^ I haven't been in all that many shows but I do love to act and be in the theatre, I even have a work study job as the props master. (when I go back in the fall that is I will be)
