as he wipes tears form his face because he lied
and told her things would be alright when he knew
that they wouldn't due to the blood
that pours from her stomach
onto a dark street that was safe before
the lamps turned on to light up the starlit sky
that no longer shines with joy
from the two lovers on the stained street
that stains the clothes of the girl
as her final breath is taken
and his final tears fall for her when she says at last
"Till death do we part.."
with a reply that meant so much to the both of them
"And in Heaven we will meet."
