I'm planning on writing a (literate) fanfic. Before I begin, I want to know the greatest narration preference, to make as many readers as possible happy. I won't begin the story until I have at least 100 votes. I currently have eight, so please take this poll: A Little Help, Please
Share it with your friends and spread it around as much as you can. Thank you for your time.

PLEASE don't use second person. I'm begging you...

Say, what would the fanfic be about? I've yet to read one that has been as cohesive as a piece of original fiction, and I don't doubt that you could probably do it sweatdrop I want to make sure I've read a lot of fanfics before I start slamming them, you see.

I prefer the third person narrative. I'm not a huge fan on first person, but it depends what the fic is about. If it's going to be relying a lot on emotions, you're better off going with first person.
I agree with MyOwnBestCritic: PLEASE don't use second person.
I'll be sure to vote! xd

Our Internet filter blocked the page, so I can't vote, but I will say that second person makes me froth at the mouth like a rabid dog. First person makes me wince when it comes to fanfiction. I don't know, there's just something about telling a story directly from the point of view of a character that is not your own that squicks me. A fanfic could be really well written, but if I notice it's in first person, I can't hit the back button fast enough.

I'm neurotic, though, so my opinion is probably far out in left field when it comes to usefulness.
