my dad made me so freakin mad cuz i was telling him about it and some icons i found(see journal) and he was like "this is kinda like a 'starter drug' for vampire books" and was telling me about this author who was like super famous for writing vampire books and how people went way overboard with it and i was like so freakin pissed. i mean what's the big deal? they were amazing books and i saw nothing wrong with them. now i don't even know if he'll let me buy them witrh my money. actually i don't care cuz i'm buying them anyways. does anyone else's parents have a problem with it?

The only problem my parents have is that i read it too much in one day sweatdrop (is that a bad thing?) But my mom says whatever I like I can read as long as its not "bad".

my parents roll their eyes at what I read, though I guess compared to Death Note, Twilight is a good thing. sweatdrop

My mom lets me read them. Then again, I'm not sure how much she actually knows about the subject matter, but I think even if she did, she wouldn't mind. She's pretty awesome. heart She encourages reading Harry Potter, and heck, we get assigned stuff for English class that has more questionable content than Twilight does, and I read that stuff.

At first I couldn't find Twilight, though I found New Moon at Target, which I wasn't too happy about because NM doesn't have Edward in it that much, so I was *whine whine, mope mope, drive me the 15 minutes to town so I can buy it at barnes and noble!* but I had to wait a fricken week to go to barnes and noble, where, of course that had it ^.^ But in that mope period my mom was like "if you don't shut up about the book, I'll never let you read it again" Ha, can't blame her. But I didn't shut up and it wouldn't have made a difference, since I go to the mall a lot and have my own job and own money, and a lot of good hiding places in my room *evil laugh*

I guess its a good thing I don't let her hear my music! wink

My parents don't like it because it's about vampires. And according to my dad i should stop reading fiction and read something worth while because fiction book will ruin my IQ. and that i'm smart enough to know the difference between the use of fantasy in real life and the use of non fiction in real life stare ( ah blabidy blah blah blah........) Goodness it sucks because stephenie meyer is such a genius for writing twilight and new moon!!!!!!!
