LM.C - Lovely Moco Chang
PROFILE
LM.C (short for lovely mocochang) is the current band of Maya (ex SINNERS) and Aiji (ex Pierrot). Thanks in part to Aiji's fame from Pierrot and their catchy releases, this group already has a lot of buzz and is currently signed to the pony canyon record label, also home to w-inds and various other artists.
BIOGRAPHY
Although LM.C was formed originally by Maya and others back in 2003, little is known about the early years of the group. Somewhat like their current line-up, they relied on support members and other musicians during lives which is how Aiji, then still with Pierrot, first came to work with LM.C as a support guitarist.
When rock band Pierrot announced their disbandment in 2006, Aiji decided to officially join Maya in LM.C. Though Maya may be best known to international fans as one of Miyavi's support guitarists, he performs vocals for LM.C and leaves the guitar playing to the other man.
The duo was signed to Pony Canyon and released their first two singles simultaneously in October; Trailers (Gold) and Trailers (Silver). They took part in various events through the end of the year and well into 2007 before releasing a new single called OH MY JULIET. This was followed then by their first album, GLITTER LOUD BOX, released in early March and the announcement of a new tour.
Maya and Aiji seem to be getting only warmed up, however, as they'll continue to tour and participate in various events throughout 2007 and fans can look forward to their next single, BOYS & GIRLS, to be released in May.
