This is the AFG: Avatar Advice Thread!  I decided to change the theme of the thread from shop, to just advice, since I'm not around as often as I would like. But many people have taken it upon themselves to keep the thought alive for others by helping them to obtain items they desire, be it by donation of gold, the item itself, or moral support. And that in itself is a wonderful thing. I feel I have created something special, and I hope it remains that way to this guild for as long as this site, guild and members are active. As an avi discussion thread this is meant to be a fun and safe environment for people to display their new outfits and ask for constructive critiques. It is alright to state you think someone's outfit could use improvement, but it must done in a polite manner. This is not the place to call someone's avi ugly, or tell them it sucks. That is not in the spirit of this thread and such users will be warned and if they continue to act rudely will no longer be permitted to post in this thread. A couple of the posts below may have some changes noted.

Congrats to both. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Today, March 18th, 2007, I created a photo album for all the special things. Any artwork, beloved avatars, or photographs can be added by any member at any time. Create sub folders and subfolders in the subfolders, and don't move other artwork around. It breaks the links. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Today, March 17th, 2007, I have changed the direction of this thread, to what has seemingly become more popular. Avatar creation, display, and complimentary. As this is one of the main directions of this thread, I hope that is has brought togetherness to this guild, in a way that it's members can say "Hey, you look great today", no matter what they look like in real life. As a member of this guild who spent much time in the Avatar Talk subforum, to be able to come back here and see people complimenting avatars that were mis-matched, or not evenly balanced in colour, or un-accessorized, was a really great thing. It was nice to see people wearing the "forbidden" and "hideous" and "unfashionable" animal items and not get harassed to remove them. This thread become my own, personal, perfect Avatar Talk subforum. I would like to thank everyone in the AFG who made that possible for me. The mods, the members, the community feel. It was inspirational and I took a leap. I honestly thought this thread would be rejected and seen as futile. To all the people who recieved items they couldn't afford at the time, I hope the extra gold you saved went towards something great. All that's left, is the final "Thank You".

I guess this is where I'll make the list that is in high demand, of seemingly everything that is animal related on this website. This is the guild where I go to view all of the monthly collectibles before I purchase them. They have displays of every item from the front and the back. Plus, you can add it to your wishlist directly from their guild! It has a 50g entry fee, but for 50g, I think the ammount of info you can get form there is pretty expansive. Join, and have a look around, the user guilds section has lists of specific types of items, not completed yet though.

Welcome to the bi-weekly theme challenge!This two-week's theme is: MondaysThis is for people who want to change up their avatars and don't know what to do about it. What colour scheme, what theme should I go with? Here's where we'll tell you! Be it based on a news event, or a rainy day, it'll be different every time. So if you're up to it, give it a try, and we'll get you in on it. The contests will start on fridays, so that new generations of evolving items can be tried and tested. First off, there is no prize money, it's a "just-for-fun" event to see what people can come up with. Second, there is no "better" when it comes to creativity, so give it your all and don't give up if you're not picked your first try. playing off of what other people have come up with is just another place to get ideas from. Third, try to keep it as close to the theme as possible! If you would like to enter, or suggest a theme send PM's to Forcive Habit, and I'll get to them when I get to them. As for showing off your avatars, I knwo not everyone is going to want to stay in costume for two weeks, so here's the steps 1. Find a post you made, and right click your avatar. Save it. I don't want any immages from the changing rooms or your inventory. 2. Host it yourself on the AFG's photobucket site. Please host it in the appropriate album, eg. If the contest number is 2# save it in the album number 2 :p You must add a title to the photo you have uploaded with your username!3. PM Forcive habit the link! And you're officially entered. When this is first starting off, I'd like to keep it to only one avatar per person, and PLEASE! Don't change it in any way! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I created a photo album on Photobucket.com for everyone here to use. make folders and sub folders in them as you see fit. All I ask is that you add titles to the artwork, photos and avatars added. Above the uploaded photo, it should have a "Click to add title" option.
