Okay, I was out shopping when I spotted crochet hooks and knitting needles. I looked at all the different sizes and then I saw size 19 needles and I was like "Wow" then I looked at the ones next to them and they were SIZE 50!!! Me: D= OMG!

The Question: What can one do with size 50 needles?

i used my size 50's to make a really floofy scarf. xp i got some fairly lightweight boucle yarn and just knit it up, letting it be good and loose. It can work as a wrap or a scarf, and my auntie uses it for late-night in-bed reading, to keep her shoulders warm. 3nodding You can also knit mulitpul yarns together, or knit fabric strips, things like that. You get creative with it.

A really lacy or chunky scarf?

(A small part of my mind is saying "fishnet" as well)

Scare small children?

rofl

My sister, a non-knitter, would do that with size 1 needles! Great suggestion, Silver!

If they're wooden, they make really effective vampire stakes. (One of my friends had her really big needles stolen to replace a missing tent stake while camping)

Size 35 and 50 needles can also be used when crocheting broomstick lace. 3nodding

I feel compelled to go buy a huge knitting needle and try this now...... xd Maybe a blanket, perphaps? (Not that I dont have one blanket thats only one row short of completion- a trim row, so all the way around- and a scarf on the needles)

Before I packed all my yarn and tools I was practicing broomstick lace and it was really kind of neat. I was kind of planning a scarf for a friend of mine. I've only seen the peacock's eye pattern online, but there's an old issue of Crochet Fantasy that has a few other patterns in it. When I find it, I'll let you know which issue it is. At the moment, all of my craft stuff is packed in boxes that are scattered through 4 rooms of my new home.

But at least your moved now, so unpacking those boxs shall surely occur sooner rather than later. ^^

It might if there was any storage space in the new house. gonk I've spent a week trying to find cupboard space to unpack the kitchen(and recovering from the move).
