So I've belonged to this guild for quite a while now, but I'm sure none of you know me. I really haven't posted here much... if ever. I thought it was about time to change that. I've wanted to get back into poetry for a while, so I though I'd try to start making regular posts here.
Two things I'd like you to keep in mind before you read on:
1) I haven't written any poetry for a while; I'm rusty.
2) I have a thing with free-verse poetry- I think it allows me to express myself better, so don't be expecting things to have a defined rhyme scheme or any sort of meter.
Anyway, here it is!
The Rains of Change
Thunder rumbles
And the rain comes hard and swift
Washing away everything, and leaving it new
For me everything’s new
I’m happier this way
Not hating everything in my life
Lightening crumbles the foundations
Allows me to build anew
I don’t know why so many hate the darkening sky
Calling it “gloomy”
To me rain is peace
It makes me happier than most things in life
It reminds me that I’m not alone
Each raindrop a kindred soul
Its life may be short, and some may be destroyers
But most are bringers of life
Rain always renews
Always cleanses
Always
Gaian Grammar Guild
The Gaian Grammar Guild is a refuge for the literate, a place for them to post and read posts without worrying about the nonsensical ones.
