"No," said Imogene slowly. "I don't think he means to....die. The poison...." She looked up to Dr. Carlisle. "Do you mean she'll turn?"

''Exactly, die in other terms, so kill me.'' Blue said calmly but serious.

"Turn into what?" Wrin cut in. Imogene had said the Cullens weren't human. What were they, then - werewolves?

"Um," said Imogene, unsure for once what to say to Wrin. She looked down to Blue instead. "You'd really rather die?"

''I'll kill many in the process, I'll be a hell of a headstrong vampire, if I wanted to, I'll come back in my next life.'' Blue coxed.

"mhmm, interesting. But do you really put so much faith in this...next life theory?"

Wrin choked. "Vampire?" She'd been kidding when she said werewolf, really - she hadn't expected them to actually be discussing mythical creatures.

Imogene nodded. "Yes. But we must be far off. And you must stay with the Cullens..."

''I wanna be a hybrid if I stay. Wolf and vampire.'' Blue said sitting up.

"But...where would we find the werewolves?" She thought for a second, then looked up to Edward, knowingly. "The Quelieut tribe are, aren't they?"
