Gaddith was raised by the traditional-minded Sinbad and the firekin's historian, Karana. The two parents had very different outlooks on the pride and had their own ideas on how to raise the childern. Under an older litter of traditionalist-raised half siblings, Gaddith and his littermates were faced with the challenge of living up to their father's expectations. Gaddith played the role of big brother to his littermates, most especially his youngest sister, a huria like himself. Sinbad, eager to thin the competition to his older male offspring, decided to name Gaddith apart from Firekin traditions so he'd be forced into exile. Gaddith took it in stride, he has a laid back 'take it as it comes' personality. He's a very large lion and very capable on the battlefield but he's, in general, very non-confrontational.

Heartbroken and forever wanting to find a way to merely change the color of her fur (mud, dirt, paint, clay, anything she could find), Mwako'Nakam accepted the reality thus leaving the Firekin lands with her older brother, Gaddith. Mwako'Nakama has a deep love for her brother, and her family back in the Firekin, but she knows she can never return to her home. Adept at tracking and hunting, Mwako'Nakama does her share and moreso. She feels a neverending need to prove her worth, even if she doesn't have to.
