She smiled as she headed into the princess' room and locked the door. She headed back into her own room and locked her door. " Now where did I put my small dagger to protect myself in case he climbs up the tressis?" She hunted for the small dagger and found on the bedside table.

She leaned over and kissed him on the cheek, " Thank you for your protection . With you protecting me I won't ever have to worry about being hurt again. Plus you're good looking so that helps. "

She blushed as he kissed her hand. She wasn't used to being treated as such by such a handsome boy. She was used to the prince chasing after her. She looked at him, " So what do you wish to do now? We're stuck here for a little bit until the prince gets over me at least for now. "

" Well my mother died right after giving birth to me. Well he gave up his crown and married my mother. They lived on the king and queen's ground until he decided after she gave him me that he wanted his royal position back. So he left my mother on her own. She died soon after and the princess promised to take me in. She raised me as her own sister. Once I turned seven, I was given to her as her attendant. When I first started to develop the prince took a liking to me, but he just wants to dally with me and toss me aside. The princess says he wants me as his wife, but I don't love him. I'm going to marry for love and my husband will be the one who gets to dally with me. That's pretty much it. " She looked at him to see his reaction to all that she told him.

"Dally? can't say I've heard it put that way before." He said with an eye brow raised. "But it doesn't sound like fantastic life. At least you have someone that's like family to you, right? Why focus on the bad when you have so much good going for you?"

" Well a lady isn't supposed to talk about such things, so I figured I'd at least put in a somewhat appropriate manner. " As she said this, she reached for her dagger. It was more instintive than anything else. She was used to the prince trying this. She hid behind the curtain as the prince showed up on her balcony.
