Name Meaning: aloe plant
Personality: Subi, as she was often known by to those who took time to get to know her, was a kind soul. She was one of the most accepting type of lionesses one could ever meet. She was excessively understanding and empathetic. She is in fact a great listener. It is sometimes secretly known of her that many who go to her in confidence leave with a clean soul. That isn't because she has any power over souls or the ability to clean another's conscience. Rather, she just provides them a safe and comforting outlet for others to clean themselves. She is like a counselor. She seeks to help others find a place inside themselves that throws off their emotional burdens that infect and destroy their bodies. She believes most sickness has roots in an unfaced issue deep within oneself.
She tries to almost never pass judgement. It is harder not to do so with those closest to you of course. She struggles with this with her daughters who have a wandering spirit. Yet. she feels she cannot be angry with them. Though she herself wasn't a wanderer; it was in her blood.

Background:
Subi's parents were nomads in fact. Her parents only kept her around till she was old enough to fend for herself. Not that they didn't love her or want her; however, their call of the wild to go out and explore was too great to resist. Her parents were always together though. They were a couple in love with each other and the world. She had been brought with them from place to place. However, she was seperated from them during a great storm.
As a child, Subi had been caught up in a great cyclone that swept through a plain they had been traveling through. It ended up throwing her up in a tree. She had been stuck there for three days. Another lion had found her and tossed her out of the tree to the ground. After that, she was chased by a pack of wild dogs. Due to the trauma, she didn't want to travel and see the world. She just wanted to find a place to be safe. She missed her parents. She kept hoping they'd come find her. Alas, they never found her. Her memory of them now fades as she's older. She hopes they may yet still find her one day.
Future Plot Ideas:She will probably just become someone who is interested in the stories of other healers from around the world. When travelers return to the pride, she wants to hear about possible new treatments for ailments.
She also will be someone people talk to about their traumas and heartbreaks.

Name: Alake
Name Meaning: One to be honored
Personality: As far as being motherly goes, Alake is the "nobody messes with my cubs but me." kind. Once she's claimed you as "hers" in her mind, that's that. She will be fiercely loyal and protective of you until the day you part ways. Once you do part ways (and even before then) Alake will worry about you to no end as she tends to be a bit of a worrywart. She's not afraid to scold you either if you've done something to make her worry. Her worry wart tendencies don't seem to extend to herself though. Either from a desire to spare others from more dangerous tasks or from her unending amount of nosy curiosity, Alake seems to come off as a little adventurous and reckless. But the gods forbid you follow her example. When she's not mothering you to death, Alake is stubborn, cheerful, and friendly, with sprinklings of tormenting teasing humor.

Background: Alake grew up by the sea like her parents their parents before them, on and on for generations. For as long as she could remember the loyalist had been by her side, which is how her mother had told her it had always been with their family and the loyalist's family. Her childhood was a happy one, days spent running around the beach and having adventures with her dearest friend, as her parents had before her as well.
As far as Alake knew, she would find a mate and have cubs who would grow up the same as she, just as her parents had done. From time to time she wondered what else was out there in the wide world but, this was of life was what she accepted as what would be true for her. Little did she know this way of life that she had accepted as what would always be true for her was soon going to change.
Future Plot Ideas: Basically Alake intends to have her time of adventure that part of her has always wanted and then settle down with a pride. She wants to have a people to belong to and to protect. One day she'd like a mate and some cubs as well.
