Reason: Despite her mother Maua's opinions of the non-purple lions in their pride, Gali tends to lean more towards her father's respect of the lower classes and would never be rude based on pelt color. She has never really considered motherhood for herself, but the king's explanation of the orphaned cubs stirred her heart. Who could leave innocents to fend for themselves?
As if she needed more reason, Gali knew her mother had decided to respond to the king's call. Gali's premier talent is her ability to read others, and a lifetime of living with Maua had taught her who her mother really was. If she could protect a cub from growing up in that environment, she would do it. If nothing else that certainly gave her the push to realize she didn't dislike the thought of raising a cub, even one not her own. Gali is determined to at least try to find the homeless cubs and do what she can to shelter them. Cubs needed strong role models as they grew anyway, and that was something Gali knew, with her aspirations to become King's Advisor and her upstanding morals, she could provide for them.
