Usagi walked slowly down the street, a cloak wrapped tightly about her. The sun slunk off behind the horizon, leaving behind a bruised sky as she neared the tavern. It looked as salubrious as Jayce had made it sound. Timidly she stepped upto the door and went inside.
The inside was as unwelcoming as the outside. Dank, dark and musty, it looked as if someone would start a fight any second. She shuddered.

Lucien downed another pint. Hearing the doors open, he turned to look at the newcomer. Obviously human. He did not much care for mortals, but his brother had a weakness for them. Not that Lucien disliked humans. He just did not have any great love for them. Except a few. He could tell she was looking for someone. Anything I can help you with Sera?

As someone spoke to her, Usagi jumped, turning to stare at him. "I...I'm looking for someone..." she stammered, blushing. "Um....Lucien Draklus...would you know where he is?"  

[Melkore The Bard]

Lucien bowed. I am he Sera. May I help you? The words were merely a formality. He had a pretty good idea why she was here, or at the least, who had suggested him to her. Jayce had a habit of bringing him into things.

"Um...Jayce said you might be able to help me...." she said, blushing a little. She was beginning to think htat coming here was a mistake.

Lucien studied her. Timid, too easily embarrassed. But underneath the surface..... Power. Yes, maybe Jayce had found some real talent. Mostly, his brother sent mere rabble his way. But this was a different case altogether. Yes. The power was definitely there. I can indeed Sera. Tell me, did Jayce mention Dark powers to you? I sense it in you.

"He claimed necromancy..." she said softly, glancing at him. "Said I should find Brashck, for teaching..."

Were it anyone else, they would have either died of fright or laughter. Lucien was used to his brothers unorthodox methods. Brashck eh? Foul tempered fellow that one. Jayce is not as used to the assessment of powers as I am. You have the potential for Necromancy. But I also sense a potential assassin in you. I can teach you the way of the dagger, or I can escort you to Brashck's lair. Your choice Sera.

Staring at him, she wondered how all these people knew things she'd never even thought of before. "Well.....if I don't use the Necromancy, will bad things happen?" she asked. She did prefer the sound of just using a dagger, not having to go near graveyards.

Lucien pondered that. Bad things as in accidents? Assassin training does enable you to become more graceful. Like I said, I am better at assessing latent powers than my brother. What he didn't sense were the several paths you could take with your power. Either path you take, it will allow you to disperse your stockpiled magic. I believe bad things happen to you because your energies build up and have no way to naturally discharge themselves in an orderly fashion, and as such, you experience a rash of bad luck.

"So I can take more than one path?" she said, smiling a little. That was a bit of a relief. "And anyone I take the accidents will stop? Well...assassin sounds better than necromancer...."

Lucien nodded. Necromacy is a foul art Sera. I myself am an Assassin, and I train people I judge worthy. You are definitly such a person, should you accept me as a Sensei.

She smiled brightly at him. "I'll do it, if you deem me suitable for teaching," she said solemnly.
