Matthew caught his breath but tried to remain like he was hurting. He had fooled her and he couldn't let her see past his actions. He twisted his legs in the air, water spinning around him. Then he pushed himself up, the water still looping around his body. He whipped it towards Em and wrapped it around her arms and torso, freezing it.
"I'm just fine." He laughed happily. It had been awhile since he last fought.

 Em gasped as her arms were suddenly froze. She was stuck however she had her legs and feet still. But she was a bit hurt due to his trick. But she shrugged it off. "Heh.. nice moves but" Stepping closer to him, she swung her face towards his pressing their lips together.

Now Matthew was the one who was frozen. He stared at her with open eyes and didn't move. After one more moment of Em's sudden kiss, he flailed and took a step back. He was bright red and still stiff.
He moved his hands from in front of him in a swift down motion, the ice melting and turning to water. Matthew swung the water back into his pack and didn't speak. That was his first kiss. He kept blushing and tried to mumble out something.

Em had no clue what had gotten into her. She saw him step back away from her. Blinking multiple times, she didn't know what happened. 'What did I cause?' Turning to look at Matt, she felt her cheeks flush. "Matt... I'm so sorry. I- I didn't know what got into me.. I.." She was now stuttering loudly, looking towards her hand she curled it into a fist. "...just forget it" She heard her voice choke up, as she turned away and ran away from him.

Matthew stood in silence as he heard Em's apology. Was it true? Does she... like me? He stood still as she fumbled around and then took off. He didn't say anything and just watched her run.
Before he knew it, he was right on her tail, running after her and not controlling his movements. He just didn't want to see her sad.

Em continued to run as she got far enough. She stomped onto the ground going up onto the top of a building. She went into a corner making sure no one was watching her and put her head against the cement.

Matthew rounded a corner and lost Em. She had disappeared somewhere in the streets and he looked around aimlessly. "Em! Where are you?" He yelled, getting strange looks from the pedestrians.

Em looked down below the building she was at. Feeling her beat rapidly, she didn't know what to do. She looked into the air to try and find Aoi, but she had to go to him. Scaling down the wall she climbed down nimbly as she dropped down. "Matt! I'm right here" She called to him, as she tried to run towards him through the crowd of people.

Matthew's head whipped around as he heard Em call back to him. He smiled and sighed. He ran towards her and found her amongst the crowd, running towards him. Matthew put his hands on her shoulders and smiled. "I'm glad you're okay. Don't run off like that in the streets. I don't want anything bad happening to you again."

Em looked into Matt's eyes she nodded. "I promise I won't run off in the streets" She said looking down, she was feeling nervous right now as she rubbed the back of her neck.

Matthew blushed as he remembered the swift kiss Em had given him earlier. She was probably thinking about it as well. He wasn't sure what to do but he decided to lead them out of the crowd. He sat them down on a bench on the sidewalk and he put his elbows on his knees. Matthew looked at the ground and sighed, drooping his head.

Em looked towards Matt, she didn't know what to say. She had never been in an experience like this. Usually it was others coming onto her. But now she felt like she was being the opposite. She felt terrible, she probably stole his first kiss. "Matt.." She tried to speak but her voice came out as a whisper.

He stared at the bracelet on his wrist. Thankfully, it hadn't been broken or chipped in their battle. He heard Em whisper his name and responded with the same level of volume.

"I'm sorry that I might have ruined your first kiss. I feel like those men forcing themselves upon me. And that didn't feel right towards you. I know.. so if you don't want to talk to me ever again.. I understand" She said as she turned away from him, she tried to look into the sky for their other friend, but she was no where to be found.

Matthew sighed and picked up his head. "It's alright, Em. Sometimes, your emotions and feelings get the best of you and you can't control yourself." He sat up and leaned his back on the bench. His head turned to Em and he kept his face solemn. "I still want to be with you. I have no friends and you're a lot of fun. So don't just think you can kiss me and that's some excuse to run away from me alright?" He knocked her lightly in the head with his fist to get her attention and smiled gently.
