Watching the incoming Typhlosion with another smirk, Lacuna shifted to a more playful expression before charging forward to meet the Fire type, glowing bright pink as she began to visibly expel energy. This was certainly going to be quite the impact, Play Rough and Fire Wheel slamming into each other.

"That's not a very effective type matchup, love." Kaya said, mocking the woman's choice of words. "Flare Blitz, Tess." He instructed. The fox was grabbed by Jynx and smooched good and long, her strength slowly slipping away in the process. But at her Trainer's beckoning, she obeyed, stoking her inner fire until became a raging inferno surrounding her, jumping back from Jyny to gain the distance needed, the flaming nine-tailed fox would proceed to charge at Jynx with the intensely strong attack.

Breeze found herself staying in place, blinking after taking a Water Gun to the face. She'd manage fine, but now she wasn't sure if that was because she tapped him or if he actually was fighting and trying to confuse her. Deciding to further test the waters, she stirred up a gust upon Quagsire, the Fairy Wind's unusual sparkling within carrying a bundle of chi that separated it from a more common gale.

Kaya just knew Tess wouldn't make it through this attack. She'd not seen enough battles to really resist an attack she was weak to. So he would call out a last-ditch attack. "Tess, Confuse Ray!" He called out. Maybe he would get lucky, maybe he wouldn't. But he watched with a morbid curiosity as Tess spread her tails out behind her, releasing a bright flash of light filled with Ghostly intent aimed at Furret.

She was soon overtaken by the indoor tidal wave and he recalled her to her ball. He was familiar-ish with Furret. It was a Normal-type common to Johto and, apparently, Kalos. It was also able to learn many different types of attacks. He'd need to be careful. But he had one advantage here.

"Anael! Aura Sphere!" He called as he released his Togekiss into the air. The Fairy jet bird appeared from her ball already charging the attack, firing the homing blast as soon as Furret was standing still long enough to spot it.

As the Reuniclus fell, Tristen gave a sigh of relief. Natu was feeling good about itself and for that matter, so was Tristen. They were doing pretty well. Now it was the matter of the Veteran taking the bait. As it was recalled, Tristen stared intently. 'Take the bait' the boy thought. Get Ditto out, copy it, get all of its benefits, clash for a bit which would probably leave his Natu out of commission, then turn around and let Galvantula fry that Ditto with a well placed Discharge. No more copy cat. What Tristen soon realized, though, is that they are called veterans for a reason. When the Druddigon came out, plans went far south. Worse still, this lady had a dragon of her own. Even if he got Galvantula out, it would have a hard time against that thing. "...uh-oh." Either way...rookie mistake on Tristen's part.

"Natuuu?" Tristen spoke up seeing the big blue scaly dragon.

"Natu! Con-" Before Tristen was able to call off a counter attack, the Druddigon came in with Dragon Claw and slashed the Natu hard, causing a great deal of damage to the tiny bird, sending it flying off. "NATU!"

"Natu! No!" As hit and tumbled on the ground a little ways. Tristen was just about resigned to recall the bird back to the ball, but what shocked to find that the bird forced itself to roll back on its feet. "Natu, are you okay? Don't push yourself. Please."

"Natu natu!" For all the world to see, at least those in the dome, the tiny bird would soon glow fiercely, nearly blinding Tristen himself. When the light dies out, Tristen would look back and not find his tiny Natu standing there anymore. There stood firm, looking across the battlefield towards its opponent with a calm, yet soul-piercing gaze. It stood about as tall as Tristen was. The very image of what Tristen feared for years now stood before him, ready to fight for him with everything that it had.

"XATU!" The bird crowed out, wings unfurled wide.

"You...evolved...?" Tristen spoke up. He nearly couldn't believe what he just watched. Still...trying to process it. Tristen shook his head. "Ok, lets see what you can do! Um...uh..." Quickly Tristen thought, trying to remember what a Xatu could know. "Ok! Psychic!" Tristen shouted.

"XATU!" The bird unleashed a powerful mental blast towards the Druddigon. A far cry from what it could do as a tiny bird.

Leslie could only watch and smack her hand against her face in response. This is what happens when you let your Pokemon run the show for a second. "Lacuna, Rock Tomb!" Leslie ordered, giving a small snap of her fingers as she ordered it. Nodding in response to the order, the Mawile slammed her head into the ground and kicked up a mass of rocky shrapnel into the air and across the ground, with only the bits close to the Typhlosion picking up their target to fly at. Hmm, interesting. It didn't help that Lacuna was looking a little woozy from all the impacts on her head.

To Quagsire's fortune, the Scald wasn't enough to rouse Breeze much at all. Taking the attack and shaking the heated water off, she found a spot to stop and went to sleep without a second thought as the earlier Yawn finally got to her.

For once, Amaranth was a little worried.
