Stylist: Ultrabord Model: Ava Challenge: Gimme the Skinny Outfit Title: Spirit of the Stars
Description:
A lovely moon elf admires the splendor of the night skies, watching the world slowly but steadily changing all around. Ava's purpose is to use her abilities to preserve and protect the natural beauty of the universe and to help guide lost souls. Even in the darkest night, the stars shine brightly to light the way.
I wanted to create a bold but elegant look based around one of my favorite fantasy skin tones. I tried a bunch of different colors and chose a vibrant medium blue because it complimented Ava's eyes the most of all the bright spectrum tones, then built the look around this evening sky hue. I used a bare arm mod and elven ears intentionally to showcase the lovely indigo skin I chose. I went with a nighttime moon elven look with coordinating navy dress and silver accents with an indigo cape to reflect the hues of the twilight sky. I added just a touch of makeup to enhance her natural (or not so natural) coloring. The fireflies closer to the ground reflect the sparkling stars above, and the colorful flares from the aurora borealis light up the night even more spectacularly.
OOC: definitely could've done better in the last challenge, this time at least I'm not fatigued so that's a big bonus. plus I ABSOLUTELY LOVE skin mod items!
Description: It may come as no surprise that the skin had to come first for this design. I wanted to step out and do something a bit alien. I stumbled upon this mixture of two skins with the Maleficent Yin covering half of the Peaceful Hare. I thought they blended nicely together.
I loved how it looked with Aubrie's features and it just felt otherworldly and beautiful. Building from there, I wanted something that showed off a lot of the skin and this dress felt like a great fit. The colors present in the skin led me to the meteorite color scheme, then the Vega color of the dress brought me to the Twinkling and Lyra color schemes. A few bits of jewelry tied everything together.
After I added the crown, something jelled in my mind and I was suddenly reminded of the Childlike Empress from the Neverending story. I wasn't trying to recreate the character, but wanted Aubrie to embody some of that quality. She looks like a princess from an alien world filled with color and light. When I was a kid, the Childlike Empress was literally the most beautiful person I’d ever seen. This entry fills me with the same joy and wonder. I thoroughly enjoyed this challenge from the bottom of my childlike heart.

Her Summoning mythological irony • Sumati
I didn't really go into this theme with much of an idea of what I was going to do because there were just so many options. At first, I considered doing an achromatic look with her eyes being a pop of color. Then I worked on a demon using Lawful Master as the skin. Then I went for a ghostly look. Followed by a demon using wisteria purple as the skin. Eventually, I went back to the Lawful Master and reworked that one, which is my final result.
I ultimately chose to rework it because Lawful Master is one of my favorite skin colors and I felt a demon look for Sumati was perfect and the red suited her features really well. I built the base by including ears, horns, wings, and a tail, which I wanted to match her skin tone to make them really feel like they're a part of her body.
For her outfit, I started with Lovely Assets and then layered that with the dress from Reserved Materra. For her legs I wanted her to be floating, like she'd just been summoned, which I paired with The Fliest Arms which really built on the floating look I was going for.
Finally, I worked on her face, giving her some subtle makeup, and topping it off with the jewelry and face paint from Fearful Watchful K'onjo. I finally added the face shadow to give her a sinister vibe to create a dichotomy with her otherwise alluring look.

"Your Wish is my Command" by clowniing
☆゜・。。・゜゜・。。・゜★
The genie gently places her hands against the walls of her glass prison, wondering when she'll be allowed outside once more. How she misses the sunlight, the sand dunes, the feeling of wind on her face. But for now, all she can do is wait and hope and repeat the words "Your Wish is my Command" to whoever is lucky enough to hold her crystal ball.
☆゜・。。・゜゜・。。・゜★
Phew!! This was quite the challenge once again! Only being given the restriction of 'use a different skin tone' left my mind buzzing with possibilities, and I went through many different stages with this outfit. At one point during my experiments, the word 'djinn' just suddenly jumped out at me, and I really liked that thought!
You can still see some of the items from my previous ideas, like the wings and the unicorn horn from when I was making her a bird and unicorn respectively, but I genuinely think they suit a magical djinn that can transform and choose her own shape, so I decided to keep them to enhance her outfit and emphasize her magic abilities.
I gave her cute puffy sleeves and a bra as a top, to invoke the arabic 'djinn' look. For her bottom half, I wanted to give the illusion of the classic genie smoke instead of legs, and I tried to achieve this with the dress bustle rising up next to her like a flame, as if it's an extension of her body. Her jester hat is meant to represent the very nature of a djinn, as in the eyes of others she only exists to entertain and serve, much like a jester... (Also it just goes with the overall look very well and she looks super cute in it! >:3)
I went with purples and blues this time as the main colors, and her skin is a gentle light purple to give her the appearance of an otherworldly spirit. The white accents soften up the entire look, and I used pale gold sparingly as jewelry and sparkles, keeping the tone of it cool to fit with the main colors. I wanted Rhiannon to have a melancholic 'trapped in a golden cage' vibe, and since there wasn't a typical genie lamp item like that, I decided on her being trapped in a pretty crystal ball instead!
♥︎ Designer: Detrimentum ♥︎ Model: Helena ♥︎ Challenge: #9 - I Command Each of Ye - Thou shalt not kill ♥︎ Outift Title: Ghostly Gossip ♥︎ Description:
Another great day to be alive...okay, technically, it's a great day to be undead, but it's still a great day, and I'm going to enjoy it.
For this challenge, I took my sweet time trying different skins on Helena. I've discovered that most of the darker skins (deep blues, literal blacks and such) look quite bad on her, because of her lips' colour. They are too light so they don't look the best on her. Similarly, I've found some skins that seemed quite nice but didn't work well with her hair.
I decided to go for simple ivory, which works well with her blonde hair, and any other colours I've chosen - for this challenge, mostly pinks.
For this outfit, I've decided, that I do agree with the judges and I should try something else than another billowing dress/skirt, so I've tried hard to find some nice pants for Helena. Thus, somehow, during the creation process, I've had this thought to create a modern vampire look similar to Draculaura from Monster High. With this, she is wearing cute pink shorts, a bat-shaped top, a huge coat, an ita-bag, and bright pink bows. To finish off the outfit, I've added a little tail with a cute bow, black earrings and a ton of makeup. After all, I did want to show the contrast between her skin and the clothes, as well as show the most of her skin, so!
The background is light pink and delicate, so Helena and her outfit can pop out more. And she's sitting on the rooftop, I imagine chatting with her other monster friends, but no worries, I am sure she has a sun filter on!
(I am also amazed because one of my ideas was to make Helena a djinn just like clowniing did, I even chose the same skin as them. I am glad I didn't go through with it because that would've been awkward. >A>)

Title: My Little Oni <3
Challenge: #9 Gimme the Skinny
Description: You dare approach the village fighter~?
For this challenge, I have tapped my magic wand and turned my fair skinned Talia into a fantastic Blue Oni! I ended up choosing Nekuro as my skintone this challenge mainly because my model's light pink lipstick, while chic, tended to disappear in most other shades. I think this ended up working my my favor though as it pushed me into a more unique build overall!
For my outfit I layered belts and ribbons over a mini kimono to get a fun flowy silhouette. I then built my pose with the intent of showing off skin and chose an arm pose that added some storytelling to my look plus a sexy leg pose that allowed the covered leg to neatly tuck into my flowy side skirt. On her face I combined my favorite eyeshadow to use on Talia with 2 different face shadows to get give her warpaint vibe without obscuring her existing features. Finally, I accessorized with a furry shawl that screams oni demon, a tiny gold ear cuff, a golden weapon fit for the village defender, and a single horn that adds to the asymmetry in the outfit. My total intent of this outfit was to pull the viewers eye from the horn to the face, across the dress, and down the leg for maximum blue goodness!
For the background, I found a very pretty forest lake but it was too blue for my model. I ended up building that up with a plant trellis item that had cute stairs and a hardwood floor item I have in my inventory (and never use) to create this bridge portal for my look.
....::::**•°✾°•**::::.... ·˚ ༘₊· ͟͟͞͞꒰➳ Title: Forest wanderer ·˚ ༘₊· ͟͟͞͞꒰➳ Description: When I first saw this theme I was at a loss for what to do since it's just choosing a skin color, with that I decided to go simpler. I first thought of some crazy stuff I could do but I really didn't like most skin colors on Amren honestly, but then I remembered this beautiful purple color. Then I thought about simple characters not too over the top, when I see purple skin I think of elves and fairies, so what better to make than a fairy elf creature. I found the ears first via looking up the skin tone and then with that I found the alluring color scheme, I haven't used it much personally but it does match with the skin color really well. Then with the name of the color scheme I also made her an alluring kind of fairy, a bit sexy if you will, sheer clothing showing off her legs and her bust. Then I looked through arm items for ages trying to make something up with the limited selection and finally decided on the harp since it's a instrument that is associated with softer things and beauty, at least to me. Along with the idea she is a softer and prettier creature I've made sure she is wearing flowy and light clothing, also made sure to add some flowers with the skirt since she is forest fairy themed. I matched some nice hip wings to the ear wings to balance it out and make it more fairyesque, I feel like I did a pretty good color distribution overall, also enjoyed this scheme since her features also blended in well. She's of course in the woods waiting on her next..victim to come her way, I decided on just doing a neutral color background to make her stick out. This was a fun challenge since I enjoy using crazy skin colors in general. emotion_bigheart
Desc woof,, i had many ideas for this challenge, however as always i like to lean into what would fit the model best, and with how fancy lulu's hair is i felt this fits her well. I went with the ghost skin for its sickly pale white, basing the whole outfit around the contrast of her gown and skin vs her hair and roses. i always like to add at least one item to tie in the colour of her hair, and these roses just fit perfectly for the theme i was going for. the gown itself is torn up to show off her leg pose (which i love) and the scene around her is meant to be dark and old like something you'd see in some indie horror movie.

Challenge #9 Gimme The Skinny Feedback
Top Designer: clowniing — Rhiannon • The skin you chose was an excellent one, as it tied in Rhiannon's features perfectly. And the theme you decided on was just awesome, in both description and execution. You displayed a level of resourcefulness that every Judge appreciated seeing. • Some of your earlier attempts that you decided to keep in the final product were questionable, such as the horn, and the hat (especially with the unmatched pattern).
HELLPRIEST — Seren • Your motif is on point here, with a colour scheme the Judges all love, and a theme that's fun and hasn't yet been done. Everything screams 'fun', and the little details like the coloured nails really cement that idea. • Perhaps a magenta skintone was a bit too much ... See, there's so much CMY in the design, that it's overwhelming to look at, without a strong K presence.
Ultrabord — Ava • Going for an OG skintone, with an elf flare shines Ava in a light we've not seen from her before. As well, the aurora borealis motif was just breathtaking! The blues really help to tie in the warm, dark features naturally present in and around Ava. • The overall image could have used a bit more balance all around, such as more black accents in the background, a touch of purple in the dress, or even a little skin sparkle, as though to reflect the stars.
Dickjoke — Talia • The skin colour was mostly a positive choice among the Judges, and the way the colour blocking was done with the red and gold was appealing to the eyes. As well, the theme was a huge hit that gave Talia a desirable, asymmetrical silhouette. • The description could have been better used to argue some of the more questionable items used, rather than describing the technical aspects of the garment. The horns and fur, though smart to include, both just looked a little bit off.
mythological irony — Sumati • Not only did you pick a very effective skintone, but you built an entirely new body with Sumati's matching horns, ears, wingers, bosoms, hooves, and tail. The transition was immaculate. • The Judges had wished that you'd put just a bit more effort into the garment itself. The dress is pretty, but very simple, and it was felt that you could have built an even dress, had you layered.
Detrimentum — Helena • Praised most this challenge, was Helena's new silhouette, which was showcased in this fun theme you chose. Plus, your choice of going with a pink/black colour scheme was great to see. • Your Creativity score suffered with the choice of skin, however. While you still met the challenge requirements, the Judges feel that you played it too safe, just lightening her skin colour a few shades.
smol bab — Amren • Taking Amren into a fantasy setting, with a purple-hued skin, and pointed ears was the perfect choice for her. The light colour complements her hair (and barrette) perfectly, and juxtaposes her eyes in a sweetly, sinister way. • Unfortunately, this design didn't come across as 'simple' whatsoever. Your definition set forth several contrasting motifs that were hard to follow, the alluring colour scheme didn't tie in Amren's skin, and there were too many contrasting items between sweet and sexy.
Eliminated: ShiroOkazaki — Aubrie • The Judges absolutely loved the ideas brought forth in your description, and thought your design journey was well stated. Plus, they loved the colour scheme you chose, and how intricate the background was. • Aubrie's face looks highly made up on such a light skintone. And while that might have worked with a formal-dress theme, it just stands out as unnatural with your ethereal motif and colour scheme.
ICLite — Lulu • Time and time again, you've proven to the Judges that you know your Model well. The way you work with Lulu, and play to her strengths is exemplary. Here, you tie in her sexy, feminine features with a ghost bride motif, and you connect her boldly coloured hair by the use of red roses. • However, this entry is just ... simple. From the overall image, to the lacklustre description, everything comes across as basic. The skin going from pale to white is a bit boring, and the item use is too straightforward. This could have used way more detail and layering to convey something a bit more creative.
♥︎ Designer: Detrimentum ♥︎ Model: Helena ♥︎ Challenge: #10 - At the End of the Rainbow (Purple) ♥︎ Outift Title: II - The High Priestess ♥︎ Description:
For this challenge, I went through many ideas (and shades) of purple to try and create something interesting. First, I noticed that Helena looks better in softer purple hues than in more intense ones. Next was finding the theme or general idea of what I wanted her outfit to convey. I started to wonder what are the most common associations with the colour purple - royalty, rarity, magic, and mystery.
I tried to avoid doing something too simple - a queen or a witch. With that, I started to ponder even more, what could work nicely as a theme and would look good on Helena. Then, suddenly I remembered the High Priestess tarot card. It was the perfect combination of what purple represents. The High Priestess is a card that means, when upright, things like intuition, sacred knowledge, and divine femininity. Which means, it's a good combination of magic and mystique.
For this outfit, I've decided, that I want to try and keep experimenting with different outfit styles for Helena other than billowing dresses/skirts. This time her outfit is more form-fitting - it's a bodice over which she wears a long skirt with a slit to show off her leg. Over her bodice, she is wearing a corset and a sash, which ties to the overall outfit and makes it look more like a dress than separate clothes. To make her outfit even more interesting I've added jewellery, such as an amethyst and quartz necklace and a choker combined into one. To top it all off, what would a priestess be without a staff? I've chosen one that is big, majestic, and has purple ribbons to tie with Helena's outfit.
For her background, I've added the Nouveau Border to mimic a frame on a tarot card.

The Call of Autumn mythological irony • Sumati
I was a little worried when I saw that my assigned color was orange as it is not a color I use a lot of. So I decided to just search "orange" and see what I had to work with. After trying on some items and making a really rough avatar, I found the current legmod, which sparked my idea: an autumnal, flowery spirit.
Aside from the skirt, I used Margravine of Atuman and Bold Pumperilla to create her bodice, which I topped off with the flowers from Josie's Journey to create a sort of one-sleeved look. Then I added the fairy wings, which are meant to be a part of her outfit, rather than actual wings--the top part as a petal collar and the bottom part as a large back bow.
To finish the outfit off, I created a floral crown for her to wear. For her arms, I chose the armmod from Circe's Cheerful Garden. I thought with the water orange it looked like liquid magic flowing through her fingers. I then added some orange makeup and gave her a suitable autumnal background.

-ˋˏ ༻❁༺ ˎˊ- ╭┈◦•◦❥•◦Title: A toast to femininity ╭┈◦•◦❥•◦Description: I was a bit stuck when I saw that my assigned color was pink, but when I looked my model over it's obvious amaranth is her color. For this look I researched what pink really represented for many people, what I came up with is love, softness, innocence, and femininity. To play off of these undertones I've dressed Amren in a soft pink, mixed with a bit of a darker toned pink to bring more color into it. She's dressed in a long skirt and corset which felt very soft and feminine to me, along with some cloth draped over her arms, and a glass in her hands which she is raising in the air. Along with the dress I've given her a feminine figure and a softer face with the freckles and light pink eyeshadow. While I thought about the love portion I really could only come up with flowers which I've included a fair bit of, including the ones floating through the air delicately to add some motion to the picture. I've added a pink filter over top of the outfit to make it feel a bit softer aswell. I hope this look conveys all of the factors that I've mentioned here. Overall I really enjoy this look on Amren and think it fits her very well.
Designer: Ultrabord Model: Ava Challenge: At the End of the Rainbow Outfit Title: Green Dragon Queen
Description: Ava is a model who looks amazing in vibrant colors, like emerald and bright toxic lime green. I chose a dragon theme, since there are plenty of items inspired by Gaia's Tiamat the dragon color scheme and it's a theme I love to work with. Plus, the fierce but feminine dragon theme works really well with Ava's bold, unique beauty. That scar on her eyebrow? Just a small sparring scar; you should've seen the other dragon. I loved the skirt item I chose from the start to match the horns and arms, then I tried multiple tops until I finally found one that flows well for the model's dress (and although you can't see it from the front, that dress is mostly backless save for the collar, and allows her wings and tail to move freely while still providing excellent support in the front.) For the dragon elements, I used emerald green horns that fit well with Ava's side-shaved haircut and partially transformed humanoid arms with green scales to suggest she can transform from dragon to human form and partial transformations in between, coordinating wings and a dark tail to match her hair. I also found a few accessories including matching jewelry, a fierce and jagged crown, and just a touch of eyeshadow. I tried a few dragon companions until I found one that matched her look the best, used a night sky background with a touch of green aurora behind a pavilion background that's a great place to literally burn off some of that pent-up stress from her demanding job as future queen, as well as teaching some of the younger dragons how to control their abilities. For the finishing touch, I added a touch of leftover smoke from her fire-breathing friend.
ooc: finally used a voucher and didn't end up using two, but kinda wish I'd used it maybe for that other challenge four weeks ago when I was all fatigued from painkillers, oh well. still helpful here, since I was stuck on whether to use wings or not as many of the wing items made it look too crowded, lower-sitting wings and tail were a great idea.
