Pain In the a** things about being a GOTH.....

I got called a heretic by the local preist while I was working the other week (I clean in the church) becuase I wear a Pentagram. (No, I'm not a Pagan, or Wiccan, I'm simply a student of Estoric matters in general, and appreciate the many meanings of the symbol.). So I told him about how the Pentagram can be used in a christian context, he wasn't too impressed and left me to it.

I do have to admit, I have had my chain catch on a few chairs in the past. That's about it though.

my parents confiscated mine (the chains), they where hard to get since i dont have accses to specialty stores exzecpt for every weekend when i'm at my grandmothers and when ever there happens to be a store in my area...my parents avoid going to places with those stores...they'arent to happy about me...they have the biggest issue with the chains so i'll just have my friends keep them at school for me once i get some more. when i go home i have my friends hold onto some of my stuff until i feel like wearing it again, the stuff i saved from the garbage bin.... xp

oh yah. i'm broke so i can't get anything for a while.spent all my money on some CD's i wanted.

These are MY problems:

1.) My parents think it's somehow 'funny' that I love to shop at Hot Topic
2.) How my parents want me to wear bright colors.
3.) People coming up to me asking whether or not I'm gothic
4.) I don't have enough black, so I have to wear pink ):<
5.) People spreading gay things about me...
6.) That alot of people thing I'm a bit young to be goth D:< (Age 13)
7.) How some people stare at me, as if I'm some sort of criminal razz

THE BAD THINGS ABOUT BEING A GOTH:
-Being harrassed and belittled becuase you are differnt from most others.
-The long time it takes to get ready very day AKA Make up (sometimes), accessarys "Chains, bracelts, necklaces etc." putting on cloths. and possibly alot other things.
-Difficult to get a descent job.


THE GOOD THINGS ABOUT BEING GOTH:
-(dependibng on person): Self respect, and respect for others.
-See the beauty of all things, life and death, pin and plessure, being free, being disiplined, Day time, and night time, darkness, and light.
- Or from obove at least notivce the beauty in the things nobody els does. Darkness, pain, death etc....
-Dare to be there own persson, to do as they wish, and beloved for who they are and not for whom they are not.

1.The idoits in school that ask pathetic questoins:
"Are you gothic?",
"Do you worship satin?",

Ok here are the things I have to go through every ******** day!

1.People at school touching me! then asking me if iam ******** dammit!

2.Having every one hate me because iam ******** different!

3.Having everyone of my family thinking I belive in ******** satin!

4.Having to pay so damm much for the pants.....

5.People staring at me.

6.Having to constantly b***h at people if I get wat to irritated.

And the list goes on.

Depends if the have anything in clearence my size or not.

I just take things from my friend.

Not too much trouble with this.

5. The weird numb arm felling you get when you put ALL 11 armbands back on your right arm, damn blood circulation....
Small wrists not really a problem for me.

6. The damn stereotypes
Random people saying" hey stoner" oh yes so much fun.

7. Your parents bitching at you, and trying to change how you look so it makes them look good...
My mom is actually supportive but my dad and stepdad try to change me.

8. The time it takes to GET ALL OF THOUGHTS CHAINS ON AND OFF, DAMN,
Ehh not that bad.

9. People stepping on your pants
People step on my pants on purpose then they kick me.

10.The anti- depressant every wants to give us.
Not as fun as they sound. At least to me.

1. Corsets.
It takes forever to lace and/oror clasp my corsets, and then they come loose all the time during the day. Also, it's very hard to tighten your own corset.

2. The prices of clothing.
Alright... this isn't too much of a problem, seeing as how I seem to be able to find gothy clothing at a lot of stores... hell my dfave skirt came off the discount rack at JC Penny and my favorite dress is a modified one from goodwill, but still, some gothic essentials can be quite costly. Combat boots, victorian-styled boots, steel-boned corsets/crinchers... none of those really come cheaply, especially if you're looking for high-quality peices.

3. The fact that people think you're not a goth for some stupid reason, like if you're not a miser and depressive little thing, or if you enjoy *gasp* music other than Manson.
For the love of all things good, I'm happy, I'm a free and peaceful spirit, and I love many generes of music. That, by no means, makes me any less of a goth.

4. People asking 'are you a goth?'.
It gets old after a while... but I really don't care either way. Call me what you will, I really couldn't care less.

this is the worst list ever.
heres mine.

1. most of the people calling themselves goths these days don't even know what goth is, making the rest of us look bad.
2. people assuming that all goths wear is black
3. people are stupid, if you try and correct them they will have the idiocy and nerve to tell you you're wrong
4. around here, black is not 'in', so finding black pants that dont attract fur from my cats is ******** hard.
5. people constantly confuse goth and emo. i ******** hate emo music and emo kids.
6. people asking if i cut myself
7. people asking if i sleep in a coffin. i may be a modern vampire, but none of us sleep in coffins, or at most a select few who try too hard.
8. my hooded tshirt...it's ripped up and its the only one in the city, so i have to make it last. i have to take safety pins off to wash it and put them back in when it comes out of the dryer.

whats good about it?
1. people expect me to be a wimp, so when i ******** shitkick them for being a little b***h, everyone is surprised.
2. people find me creepy, which means they either respect me or get the ******** away.
