It doesn't seem like my eye isn't focusing.... It's more like, when you first wake up and there's a lil film on your eye, and then you blink and it goes away? Except it doesn't go away. But it's oly mostly on one side, and the list of normal problems while adjusting to contacts is (according to what they gave me):
1. Difficulty handling lenses (i.e., dropping them)
2. fuzzy vision, usually in one eye only
3. Discomfort, usually in one eye only
4. Itching and watering of eyes

So I guess it's normal, but I was just hoping maybe a fellow contact-wearer could give me some pointers to help adjust. For the record, my vision is really bad. They also said to only wear the lenses for certain amounts at a time, like, 5 hours the 1st day (I did 3) 6 hours the 2nd day (haven't started it yet), etc, until you're up to 12 hours on day 10 (I'm not sure I've ever been awake 12 hours straight, but....) so since I'm doing less (which I plan to call about when the hour is decent,) it'll probably take longer, but my eyes get uncomfortable, plus it's bothersome feeling like your eye is filmed over, so I wore them for 2 hours, took them our for 5, then wore them for another hour. But I look REALLY different, I mean, I can barely see without my glasses (or, now, contacts) and I've worn glasses since I was about 8, so even my cats were looking at me like "Is there something different here?" Plus I keep trying to push up glasses I'm not wearing, so I poke myself in the face.

By the way, as ya'll can see, I finished another of my endless list of dream avis. Maybe I should just buy at least one of every item on Gaia, then I can just mix and match as I please.

I want the cat eye ones. *lol* Like anyone would notice the difference, I'm practically a cat anyway!

*lol* Things are a bit better with the contacts- I wore them 3 hours straight earlier, now I'm putting in another hour or two. I got 2 mice today! I was at the pet store (I hang out there and check out the critters, plus my one friend works there,) and we were looking at the mice, and there was a black and white male (mostly white) with a big scab on his back (male mice tend to fight), and a black and white female (mostly black) with some weird deformity on half her face, all puffy and lumpy, going down under her neck even. So they gave them to me for free. The girl is Miss Kitty, and the boy is Pippin, or Pip. They have a big cage and stuff now, and they get along (a little too well, I'll have more mice than you can shake a stick at in 6 months!) But they're happy now, and no one would have bought Kitty, cuz even my friend said she was gross looking, her one eye is mostly pushed shut by whatever the puffiness is from, but her good eye is bright and alert, and all the treatment Pip really needs for the scab on his back is to be kept away from mice that will beat him up, so life has vastly improved for those two. And they are just so cute!

They probably do make those, wal.... in Limp Bizkit's video for "Nookie" the skinny dude had all black ones, they covered the whites of his eyes and everything.. Really cool looking.

I'm in a FANTASTIC mood right now, we went out to my aunt's house earlier because my oldest cousin is in town with his wife and their baby, who is the cutest thing on Earth! And is she smart? a year and a half old, not even really, (she'll be 2 in May,) and she understands English, Spanish, Japanese, and sign language. This is my official "Iliana brag post" yes, we call her Ili, and she is so adorable and sweet and smart. She's the perfect little baby, she even uses the sign for "change" when she needs a new diaper. She met my parents and I for the first time in December, and the second time today, and she already points at the right person when you ask "where's Aunt Joyce?" or "Where's cousin Carly?" She also pointed to my mom, who is pretty hyper and silly sometimes, when I asked "Who's the crazy lady?" We laughed so hard at that one I had to run to the bathroom. And Ili tried to follow me going "Wahs, wahs!" Watch, she means. *lol* Curious little critter, huh? The best moment, though, was when my aunt (her grandma,) sat on the floor to put a dvd on, and Ili trotted over and plopped right in her lap, all on her own, then said "gana" (Ili-ese for Grandma) It was just the cutest thing!
Okay, I'm going to stop now before I make everyone ill with my gushing. *lol*

Oh, you should see me about my cats, my mice, my turtle, my gerbil..... you want clucky, that's where you look. *lol* I'm all proud because I'm entering my two male mice in a race Sept 8th. It's a hamsterball race (you know, those run-around balls for little pets?) and there's a mouse division, so Pippin and Burt will be competing. I've been training them up for it- 15 minutes in the ball every day for each of them. Might get a second ball soon. I'll definately need it for race day.

They took to it right away- they love it! It's so cute, they dash around my room, and sometimes they run into eachother and both look all insulted. And the whole time, my cats are sitting there like they've never been so confused. And I figured out why Miss Kitty's face was all puffy and deformed- the swelling went down (yes, it turned out to be swelling,) and it turns out her face was all puffed up because her eye is missing- probably got beat up. But mice can't see very well, anyway, and most use touch, smell, and hearing to get along, so she manages fine. Actually, she quite enjoys a run in the ball, as much as the boys. So now I have a cyclops kitty and a cyclops mouse named Kitty.

Anybody who knows me knows who Rammstein is... they just can't escape it.
