Psycho Lee I find it funny how a**l fursuiters can be about the unwritten rules of suiting. Such as, you can't talk while in suit, or you can't take your head off while in suit. Rules that apparently I have never seen written ANYWHERE yet all suiters know them. Now I've seen some newer suiters break those rules and I think they're cooler because of it. Once during the con I was peeking into rooms to see what was going on, and I looked into a room that happened to be the fursuit photography room, and no one was out of suit, but this guy in a suit was gestulating wildly at me and I finally figured out I was "forbidden" to be in that room for some reason. As if photographing suiters was a private moment despite the photos going online later on. He could have just said "Hey you're not really allowed in here" instead of refusing to speak. I guess it's something about "ruining the magic". What magic, I know there's a fat unbathed nerd in that suit razz . You want to know what really ruins the magic? I'm sitting there yesterday looking at pictures from the con, and I see pics of two suiters and I'm like "hey those are nice suits, how cute, ect..." And then I stumble upon gay a**l porn of the two suiter's fursonas, with body fluids all over. I went from "Oh hey that's cute" to "oh what's thi- FFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!!!" Yea, finding gay porn of cute fursuiters will ruin any magic. evil Yeah...But, oddly enough, those are completely open to your own interpretation...Though, it's still frowned upon to 'pop the top' when you're not in the headless lounge. Now, as to the talking in suit...It can be a little weird if your suit doesn't have a moving jaw. Mine does, so I talk plenty. Makes life a little easier, especially when you're asking someone to open a bottle of water for ya X3

Though it depends on if it's a romantic "awww, cute", or a cute critter engaged in sexual acts. I don't get the appeal, but it's just my tastes really. Fursuit sex is iffy to me. I'm more interested in the guy underneath in the first place. I've, yet to find anything hot, but I'm sure one day I'll find a situation where it is. I've found rather interesting Halloween mask pornography before, so I don't doubt someone will come up with a cheap and easy method to make good body makeup style suits a reality for every day people..or the porn industry. I wonder if this message is too adult for gaia or not... Oh well! xp

Big Beatles Show 7. . . was awesome. Started around 7.30p, ended around midnight. So many amazing bands (mostly older people, as expected, but a couple kids, as well, who were also really good). Can't really think of much else. I'd copy my LJ post, but it was huge, and I'm tired, so. . . maybe tomorrow. If anyone cares. X3

yeh.... im actually with lee on this one.. cute fursuit pronz or not.... fursuit porn really isnt that appealing.

Davin_Nightwind Personally, I don't see why someone would want to have sex in a fursuit in the first place...The things are so damned expensive O_o I learned this wordy word in my fashion class. :3 The idea is that by showing you can afford to do something like that you are showing off your wealth. There are several good historical examples of this such as: Attached garages - The wealthy did it to show they could afford higher insurance rates due to fire risk. They used to be separate for most people. Clothing that renders you unable to dress yourself. - It showed you could afford to pay someone else to dress you. This has been popular since Ancient Greece, and maybe even further back. The extremely large wigs of the 1700s - Not only did they reach gigantic proportions, but they also would sometimes have vases with flowers put inside them or models put in them! On top of all this, they required a lot of human, horse, or fake hair to create these things. They also consumed a ton of wheat paste and flour. They frequently had problems with insects and animals in their hair. gonk Needless to say, the starving poor of France were not amused when this was discovered and ranted about. I just wanted to share fun facts while mentioning what I suspect is conspicuous consumption. Maybe not to show off to the world, but at least in their own personal life it is. The idea that they can afford to do that probably strokes something of their ego's. razz

If you see something that's cute, pure, and innocent, like kittens, and then find porn of said cute, pure, and innocent thing, like porn of kittens, the cuteness is destroyed. Because then when you look at the cute you're reminded of the porn. And these are guys who are cool with it. *chuckles* That is very true...I was actually referring mostly to cons, though, not meets X3 There were plenty of times when I was in Tucson suiting during a meet that I took my head off. Suiting when it's triple digit? Yeah...Not the best idea. Suiting when it's triple digit in a primarily black suit? Let's just say I was glad for all the water and the Under Armor I had on X3

Yea, I know; I'm saying that most furries aren't interested in that kind of one-upmanship, IMO. X3
Also, my custom wedding ring from Fabuluster (I got my fiancé's fingerprint inside a 14k gold band) came in the mail today. It looks gorgeous. ♥ ♥

Conspicuous consumption implies that they are going to chuck the messed up suit, though, and just replace it with a fresh one as they minimize the apparent significance of their investment. I don't know many rich furries... most of the fandom I've met are teenagers or college kids, with a rare adult or two thrown in the mix with a Real Job. I'm sure there's the occasional rich kid who can buy a whole new suit, but yeah. Even of them, at least from the small sampling of people I know, I think those suits would just going to get a good raw finger washing after (if we're lucky), not a replacement for every hump. ...This is the weirdest conversation I've ever had.

Quintessence I'm sure there's the occasional rich kid who can buy a whole new suit, but yeah. You mean you don't get a pony suit for your birthdays? gonk (I realize my error in suggesting the consumption thing [yay exhaustion every time I post!], I just don't have anything intelligent to say now.)
