Slave Market

"I see." Ishuri smiled slightly until one of the guards noticed that Mage and him should not have been in the same cell. He shouted for assistance, bringing a swarm of guards into the cell. Ishuri turned to Mage, his eyes wild.

"Kick my back, break the chains, please!"

Mage in return just stood up, and looked the guards in the eye. " I can defend myself right now. Remember those little tricks? Well, your about to see them. I may need your chains though." She though.... " But you wouldn't stay out of it. This is my battle not yours." The strength in her words was undeniable, and a little unnatural for her. She already knew if she fought her blood lust would kick in.

"So stubborn." Ishuri muttered, smiling slightly. "Ok, I'll stay out of this." He heaved himself to his feet, going to sit in the corner of his cell, watching Mage and the guards carefully.

MAge waited until the guards came at her, and surrounded her. One of them spoke to her, but she didn't hear him to well. Instead she raised her hand, and said, " Force palm." A strong wind blew other guards away from her, and him out of the cage, and against a wall.
She used her speed to break Ishuri's chains, get the control for it, and get behind the guards. " I don't feel like fighting right now, so this'll work for me."
Mage using her speed again Draped them in the chain, and kicked them to the floor. She threw Ishuri the control, and sat down on the floor." Have fun.

Ishuri looked at the control, setting it to the medium level.

"Setting it too high would kill them." he explained as the guards writhed in pain, their screams filling the area. Ishuri set the control on the ground next to him, watching the guards with a cruel smile on his face. "Revenge certainly is sweet..."

" I guess.." she said starting to be a little shy. " They certainly are stupid though.. they left the door open."

"Yeah" he turned his head to look up at Mage. "Those were some pretty neat tricks you used."

" I never really use them. Thanks. I don't have many. I didn't even use my biggest one. " She smiled a little feeling self conscious.

Ishuri let out a short, bitter laugh.

"Well, it was enough to defeat these weaklings." he turned back to the guards who were adjusting to the constant electric pulse running through them. Sighing, he turned the voltage higher, making them scream in pain, the noise seemingly amusing Ishuri.

Mage sighed a little. " HAve you ever known a life outside of slavery?" She asked a little. She had always loved to listen to stories of being free. The noise didn't phase her. It was just another noise.

"Yes..." he muttered sadly, dropping his head, unsheathing the katana strapped to his side and holding it across his knees. "But the only memories I have are of the Great War between my kind and the human scum. It's not a great story to tell, or to hear."

" Oh, alright. " She tried to smile reassuringly to him. " I'll be right back. I'm thirsty." She said standing up.

Ishuri watched her stand up, slightly stroking the blade of his katana absent-mindedly.

"Please, don't pity me. That's one of the only things I cannot handle."

" I never said i did. You've been free though. Consider it luck.
I was born into this world. " She said a little bitterly, as she walked over the gurads backs, and down the hall. She came back with a glass of water for him as well. " I though you may be thirsty... "

"No." Ishuri stated, accepting the glass. He stood up, walking menacingly towards the guards still screaming in pain. "Consider it luck that you weren't forced to watch your species become almost extinct in front of your eyes. Consider it luck that your father wasn't slain in front of you. Consider it luck that your mother didn't kill herself out of desperation in a place much harsher than this. Just because someone was free, that does not mean their story is any better." As he spoke, he tipped the glass slowly above the chains currently sparking with electricity, the water moving ever closer to the rim, threatening to fall.
