Darksol88 This would be the point where Aden started to realize what he had done. In trying to keep Nidoran safe and remain on the assault, he had effectively sent Mareep for little more than taking a hit. Silently recalling her, he didn't feel too good about what he had done. "Sorry, Mareep... Nidoran, let's finish this! Focus Energy!" Letting Nidoran back out, he had him get ready. "Two can play this game, Aden. Golduck! Psych Up!" I shouted. Golduck focused a bit, he's getting rared up himself for that matter. This...has gotten interesting.

"Now I can't let up..." Aden had a feeling this was going to get rough fast. "Nidoran, don't stop! Poison Sting!"
Nidoran, ready to just let Golduck have it, rushed on his relentless assault and tried to get something off on it.

Nidoran, ready to just let Golduck have it, rushed on his relentless assault and tried to get something off on it. "Golduck! Hang back! Move!" I shouted. The Golduck tried to dodge the relentless Poison sting assault, but there was one point where the attack finally hits its mark. "Ugh! Ok, in that case, Golduck! Disable!" After shrugging off the sting, Golduck focused its abilities...Aden wasn't the only one who knew a few crippling attacks.

Nidoran found his concentration stopped a bit, stopping in his tracks. For the life of him, he couldn't remember the attack he was just doing. Or that it even existed. He looked bewildered for a moment, prompting Aden to try and get something else going.
"Come on, Nidoran! We can't let that stop us! Double Kick!" He wasn't about to let up on the assault, having Nidoran go for a different attack once he recovered.

"Alright, so far so good, Golduck..." I said. "Let's put that Focus to good use, shall we!? Fury Swipes!" I shouted. The Golduck rushed off towards the Nidoran and went to strike it down.

"All or nothing, Nidoran! Fury Attack!"
Nidoran found himself having to try and dodge the oncoming attacks, giving some of his own. Regardless of his efforts, though, it wasn't long before one of the attacks hit its mark. Fairly hard to boot; Nidoran was sent backwards from the impact, skidding a little as he landed. He was a little cut up too, and despite trying to get back up, he couldn't.
"Uh... uh huh, yeah, I've still got a ways to go. Nidoran, you and Mareep did what you could. I'm glad for that. Here, return." He didn't waste much time in recalling the fallen Pokemon.

"Nice work, Golduck. Golduck?" Golduck looked a bit unsteady on his feet. I made my way over towards him and got a good look at him. In that clash of Swipes meets jabs, while Golduck may have came out on top, Nidoran still left something for Golduck to very much remember him. "Poisoned. Always with the Poison Point." I said. "Come on, Golduck. Let's get you to the Pokemon Center to get you fixed up with that. But before we do, that wasn't bad at all, Aden." I said. "You think you'd be up to taking on Ryan now?" I asked with a bit of a laugh.

"I'm... not sure. But I know Geodude could use a little training too. Still won't hurt for the other two." Aden said. "I'm still kinda surprised I cut it that close."

Well, while I wasn't trying to hold back, using the Pokemon that I did in this fight was in essence, holding back. Despite which, Aden was coming along quite nicely. I have to be careful though. I have to make sure that he doesn't end up content on this fact. Maybe Ryan can assist on that matter. One thing for certain, Aden's fears are founded for later, because even I have the feeling that come Mahogany Town, I might be convinced, if not compelled to take him for real, on my turf, my rules. Then he would truly know how rough things get. I got a reputation to uphold after all.
"Well, you still got Geodude, Raticate, and Poliwhirl on you right now. Just...go with the flow, alright?" I told him. "Go with what you feel best. Let me get to the Pokemon Center before Golduck passes out from Nidoran's poison. Come on Golduck." I said, recalling the wavering duck.

Truth be told, Aden wasn't the least bit content. While both of those Pokemon were strong, he knew it was only a small taste. Compared to what would eventually be in store, this was nothing. He couldn't afford to rest on his laurels. Especially not whenever he'd get to Mahogany Town, and would have to fight Blizzard at his absolute best.
The thought kept a constant sense of fear with him, with this fight confirming every last bit of it. And he wasn't even done yet on the fights like that today. "Right. I'll see if I can find him in that forest he said about..."
Going on ahead, he made his way for the gate to get inside the Ilex Forest and look for Ryan.

Ryan was napping under a tree near the Forest Shrine. It was such a peaceful place that allowed for this.

Aden found that the forest wasn't too bad; while one could get lost, there was a well-beaten path. Staying along that made things easy. If anything was unusual to him, it was the chi he could feel a little. Versed, he might not quite be, but the air did feel a little richer to him. He decided to ignore this, though.
It didn't take him too long to end up near that shrine, seeing Ryan asleep. He wondered if maybe he came at a bad time, so he turned to make his way out...
Until he stepped on a fallen twig, that is, making more noise than he'd have cared for.

That woke Ryan. He opened an eye and spotted Aden in the peripheral. "Hmm. I would hazard the guess that you battle with Blizzard is already over." Ryan says as he opens his other eye and slowly gets up. A few quick stretchs and he was feeling good.

"Guh. Uh. Yeah. Was a close loss on my end, but I know Nidoran and Mareep needed the fight. Still wasn't going to pass you up, though." Aden answered, turning back around. "I mean, I do have those other three too."

"So a 3 vs 3 match? or did you have something else in mind?" Ryan says as he walks around abit, just to finish waking up.
