In any case, there's been some drama lately involving cub porn on FA.

You guys may remember Acorn, or Asphyxiation. She was a regular on here a while back. She was banned from FA for posting cub porn, from what I've heard.

On another note, Narse, who's a popfur known for his dragon art, posted some suggestive art with Bowser Jr. for an informal "Bowser appreciation day" on FA. That piece was deleted.

Why Acorn got banned and Narse only had his art deleted I don't know. Favoritism, perhaps... Narse is way more popular. Or, I believe Acorn had some more infractions on her account.

I don't care about cub porn either way. I see it as harmless drawings. Whether it's harmless or a gateway to real stuff who knows, people can have their twisted fetishes as long as they don't break the law or rub it in people's faces. And maybe Acorn and Narse, neither of which has ever done cub porn, just really needed the money.

But what I can't figure out is why Acorn at least, would post the image on FA knowing the rules against it. She has an Inkbunny account.

And what pisses me off is all the butthurt over the deletions and bans.

People. FA has rules. There's people whining about other people reporting the cub porn to the mods, calling them haters and snitches and stuff, when they're just enforcing the rules. And then they scream and whine about the FA mods being nazis for enforcing the rules, and whine about free speech and s**t.

FA's a private site. And they ban cub porn to keep themselves out of trouble. It doesn't matter the laws where you live, only the laws of where the server for FA is located. And even then, FA has every right to ban whatever they see fit. And don't get me wrong, I don't think FA is run properly and I think Dragoneer is a douche and an a*****e. But they have every right to ban cub if they wish.

I just get so pissed at the whiners.

It reminds me of the whole Penn State thing. What pissed me off the most wasn't Sandusky, it was the people who ENABLED him by shoving it under the rug because FOOTBALL IS GOD. ******** them.

In the same way, cub porn doesn't bug me, but the whiny cub porn lovers do, throwing around a persecution complex whenever they break the rules and then get banned because of it.

If I can't feel it at all, I think I'll be OK. It's just the fact that I have to have it at all that's wigging me out a bit (and making me feel bad that I let it get this bad to begin with). I'm pretty needle-phobic and very pain-phobic, so the less pain and misery I'm in, the better. XP

You've probably long had it already, but when I went the only painful parts were a literal pinching sensation of the needle (unlike all those other times they say it pinches and it's more like "oh god, what did you do to me?!" feeling. razz )
They gave me a pill to numb me and then they did an IV. I was really out of it and didn't hurt, but I felt weird for a few days afterwards.

Moved into a house from a tiny studio apartment. Got a new guide dog puppy 2 weeks ago and just had a new roomie move in as well.

Sounds like things are picking up and there's lots of stuff to look forward too! Glad things are at least going well for ya' over all.

I tend to steer myself away from that stuff. It's a giant mess, but I pretty much agree with ya'.

I don't even think FA owners wanted to ban cub porn that much (at least not as much as some people make it out to be), and the reason they banned it in the first place is because of the laws in certain countries. They wanted to avoid litigation that would be costly and more likely result in the site shutting down completely. Few understand that though, and the alternative is charging for membership to support the cost of servers hosted elsewhere, which still might not protect the owners who might still be held responsible. Big problem, where the only solution is to turn over user privacy to authorities. No go for users. So it's a no-win situation.

But as to said, it's not like they have to use FA. Inkbunny works, and SoFurry likely also has lax policies on it too. @Furry, a site not yet up, may also have lax policies on it.

In my case, I want to write a story or comic where one character would be considered underage (14-16) in most us states. I accept the fact that it would never be allowed on FA. I read the rules, saw 18 or over, and I deal with it. I may never even do anything with it, and the age problem is really just the "how it began" prequel to the main story anyway. If I ever went forward, I'd just post the 18+ stuff. It's not like it's that hard... Hell, posting is more work than not. I don't see why people want to put all the effort in posting art knowing it's not going to go anywhere. Be lazy people! It's easier! scream

As an aside, it could be the severity of postings relating to bans. I do not know the circumstances but if there were repeated warnings to remove content and it was posted anyway or never taken down, then that would be grounds for banning.

Just to ease the confusion, I do believe Acorn was suspended for trolling/harassing people, and had suspensions for various things before that. I think she only started doing cub porn once she went to InkBunny and encountered the demand for it.

I'm never surprised by the butthurt and drama though. Furries are pretty predictable that way.

That's not why I was banned. It was for "harassment" because I called out a scammer and pointed out that she begs for donations and then spends the money on art. I kinda think it has more to do with the fact that I opposed Sciggles being made an admin openly, so they used it as an excuse, especially when there's mountains of evidence against the user in question. And, WELP. You know how petty the admins are. I only started drawing cub art a few months after the ban.

I don't know. I haven't heard that being said by anyone else, but then I don't know a lot of other people who would know you...So...

I know there was a bit of a stink raised when you started posting CP commissions, maybe he just saw your FA account was shut down and made an assumption.

The stink was because of an FA admin, who claimed to his wife that I said something obscene about using my child as a reference for cub art, and surprise surprise, she's Sciggles BFF. I of course have plenty of witnesses that prove I never said that, but it's going to be blown out of proportion considering one of the artists involved. It's pretty ridiculous, but I've pretty much stopped caring about their rumor mill. dramallama

I dunno, I used to be rabidly opposed to cub porn too. But I grew up and realize that the art is nowhere near the same as the real perpetuation and victimization of children. I've been neutral on the subject for years.

It seemed that SOMEONE said you were banned from FA around the same time, so I think it was the general assumption amongst some people.

All I know is that there was drama on Lulz, there was drama about it on LJ, and yea, furries and drama and luls. I could care less if you draw cub porn, as long as it's just art and not real life. However, as an artist you do have the option to say yes or no to those things if you don't feel comfortable doing them, you know. I did notice some people complaining that you do cub porn and have a daughter, either because they're appalled by the fact you draw CP around your kid, or because they think you'll fondle her next. If it's the first, I'm surprised they didn't bring up the fact that would mean you do ALL your porn around your kid, and if it's the second, then that's just stupid.

There was also a lot of bashing of your art style, saying that you do anatomy wrong. Some people mentioned the simple step of reversing the image horizontally while working on it to catch errors. I've never had a big problem with your anatomy although I do see small things here and there, such as mistakes in feet, and the fact you tend to draw everything very effeminate, even the guys.

And whatever's going on with the drama with mods/admins of FA, it doesn't entirely surprise me. Admins are humans too and some of them fail to be impartial and mature, and can be petty and show favoritism, and to think otherwise is to ignore human nature. It wouldn't surprise me though as I've heard all sorts of crazy BS when it comes to FA mods.

But as I've heard two sides of the story and all I have to say is "whatever" and shrug it off.

Nope, I was banned around four months ago and only started drawing cub about a month ago?

One person was going around saying that I said I used my child as reference for cub porn, which I never even IMPLIED. And of course, no one bothers to ask. There's witnesses who know I never said it, soooo it's not really bothersome.

And I drew furry porn prior, why not be mad years ago , before drawing cub porn, for drawing porn in front of her (allegedly)? I mean that's just retarded. I don't draw porn in front of my kid and never have.

Pretty sure it's Adiago who's always insulting my style. She was doing that behind my back to a few other people before I was even banned and posts on Lulz anonymously.


It's just a mess of a situation, but I'm pretty much over it and don't care.
