It wouldn't be long at all before Aden came down the path in town, getting into the center to recall Raticate and get the Pokemon he had battled with checked up. He didn't say much of anything until that point, when he turned and saw Blizzard. "I think I got too complacent."

He didn't say much of anything until that point, when he turned and saw Blizzard. "I think I got too complacent." I watched Aden come into view as he made it near the Pokemon Center. Sure enough, he's back. The hell? But he doesn't look...too amused. I watched him make his way inside and then to the desk. When he turned to face me and spoke, I had a feeling I knew where this was going, but I had to make sure. "What do you mean?" I asked him, leaning back a bit as I sipped on more Coke.

Ryan was just now exiting the Ilex Forest. As he walked along he started to drift towards Kurt's House. It would be good to see the old man again. Heh, he might even take a White Apricorn form the tree Kurt always had growing infront of his house and have him make a Fast Ball for him.

"Got shut down before I could even really start. Geodude fell in a couple of hits, before it could do much more than try to tackle and throw...a Poochyena, I think it is? Anyway, I sent Raticate in, thinking speed might make a difference. When I saw differently, I cut my losses before I made a more shameful performance." Aden explained.

"You gave it up." That really didn't go over well with me. "Aden. Do I REALLY have to go into one of my rants here?" I asked. "I don't care how bad your start is, you make do with what you got at the time, Aden. Really. Don't give it up!" I told him.
Kurt was there at a table at his home, though he wasn't working on a Pokeball, per se. "That's right, aaaannnnd..."
Before him was a teenager, with a open Pokeball, a apricorn Pokeball to be precise, being fixed up to be used. "You got it."
"Huh, that wasn't so bad." The teen said.
"It gets easier with more practice, but you have done quite well."

Ryan had indeed picked up a White Apricorn, three infact. That tree was still quite resilient. he was definitely not the first trainer to pick from it and surely he wouldn't be the last. He then knocks on the door.

I sighed hard. "You know, this won't fly at all if you pull this at Bugsy's gym. And trust me, if you did, I know a Flying Gym Leader that's going to be pissed." I said.

Ryan smiles as he hears Kurt. "Hello Kurt. Good to see you up and moving freely. Last time I saw you, you still had a back brace. Seems like even that couldn't keep you down for long." he says with chuckle.

"It was worth it either way. I made those Rocket guys think twice about taking the Slowpoke. Though I admit...heh heh...I could of lived without that pain to follow. So, what brings you to these parts?"

"Have a friend challenging the Jhoto Gyms. So me and another friend are traveling with him. " Ryan explains. He then holds up the three white apricorns. "Although, a stop to this nice little town and to see you wouldn't be complete without acquiring some of your amazing handiwork." Ryan adds with a smile.

"I had Geodude rush for the attack, but was caught in no time and got countered with a Rock Smash. Tried to throw his Poochyena off after that, but that was countered too with... I think an Ice Fang. Aden explained. "The whole Rock Smash thing happened again after I got Raticate out. So I'm guessing being too quick to attack and also using close range on something made to counter those measures completely. Since it was two Pokemon for the each of us, I couldn't go to something with better range and made the mistake of trying to go for faster attacks."

"Sure. Ryan, I do believe you remember my granddaughter?" He said.
