Salen-Stormwing Af Mas I'm trying to beat them without legendary types. I don't like relying on them to have to win. I managed to get through Sapphire without relying on Kyogre, and I wanna keep it that way for Leaf Green. Hey, thats a noble idea. But I like the legendary birdies. smile Articuno is my fav, even if he is 4x vs rock. sad Kyogre was just brutal for a legendary. Like a water starter on crack. And its not like I couldn't have beat the Elite with normal stuff, but leveling them was taking forever. I'm sure my Raichu would have been toast, since it was my only good electric, except perhaps the magneton that I captured a while back. Well, here's my team as it stands. I'm really trying to level up as best I can: Pidgeot: Lvl. 47 Snorlax: Lvl. 42 Jolteon: Lvl. 54 Blastoise: Lvl. 57 Venusaur: Lvl. 51 Charizard: Lvl. 45

Not bad. You consider a Lapras in there somewhere? Having an extra Surf pokemon with the added bonus of Icebeam would make a good substitue for either Blastoise, or possibly Pidgeot. Icebeam is just too darn useful against dragons, and rock types. And I don't consider Lapras legendary. Its strong, but not really a legendary. After all, you can make lapras eggs if you want. smile

Yeah. Pidgeot at higher levels isn't as good as a lapras, which is sort of like a slightly less tankish version of Snorlax. And having surf/icebeam is a nice combo. And seeing as you'll be facing off against the 4th Elite, who has 3 dragons, you REALLY want a good strong ice attack. And since you don't wanna use Articuno, the next best choice is Lapras. But I'm a sucker for lots of surfers since its a 95 power attack thats a TM. smile
But overall you have a solid team. My team when I beat the Final 4 was: Zapdos, Articuno, Snorlax, Blastoise, Lapras, and Flareon. All were over 47th level, with the highest being Zapdos at 52.
