“We are what we are, neither a good or as bad as others paint us. And what we are doesn't change how truly we feel, only how free we are to follow those feelings.”

Alaine stood quietly by as the twins spoke to one another, their conversation seeming to turn heated as they switched languages. He stood by, not sure what to do or say. People standing around where also watching curiously as if they actually understood the twins and were expecting something to happen. "Uh....Liam, you might wanna think about moving this elsewhere. You know how he is about stuff like this." he said quiet enough for only the twins to hear. Samuel was strict about how he ran things, fighting in public was one of the big no-no's. He didn't care if you were fighting with another college, a baby mama, or in Liam's case, a twin brother. There was an absolute no tolerance clause about fighting in the employer's contract. "If you want, you can use my office." he offered. He didn't know where Samuel was tonight, but if he showed up now, he was more than likely to throw a conniption.

"Liam knew it wasn't a good idea to start a scene out here. At the moment he wasn't worried about it. Neither Liam or Charlie paid attention to their surroundings. They didn't care if they were being watched. Liam heard Alaine speak almost forgetting he was there. He nodded knowing how Samuel had his rules of things. Liam grabbed Charlie weaving through the crowds and toward the office. He pushed Charlie into the office not sure what to do at the moment. Liam sighed a little "Why are you here Charlie?" He asked not sure why Charlie would come visit him. Charlie looked around him before turning his attention back toward Liam. "I'm just visiting if you must know..Mom sends her hellos by the way so does every one else." Liam nodded still not getting the answer he wanted. Charlie sighed knowing Liam was being stubborn about him being here though in reality was happy.

"Next time call me don't do blabbing to Johnny." Liam spoke with annoyance. Charlie laughed knowing how Johnny could be they both knew. He nodded at Liam's words "He means well as he always does..and I truly am just visiting..though should I stay longer?" Charlie asked smiling at Liam. It had been awhile since they last saw each other at least a year. Liam sighed a little running a hand through his hair. He knew things had been off. Charlie had taken it the worst when Liam told him he was leaving. It wasn't a surprise to see Charlie after all this time. He expected him sooner though.

As the twins went off to take care of their own problems, Alaine took it upon himself to handle crowd control. Normally he hated being the voice of reason, but for tonight he made an exception. Tonight the crowd was just too large, almost to the point of reaching capacity. If things were to get out hand, they could be in some serious damage. Not to mention as one of the heads in charge it would be even for him. He dreaded to know what sort of fit Samuel would throw if he found out he wasn't keeping things in line. With help from the staff, they managed to get things back to normal; the DJ first catching others' attention back to the dance floor and the bartenders getting their crowd back by doing their version of a Coyote Ugly bar dance.Within minutes the crowd seemed to forget the fighting twins. Alaine made his way back to the bar, helping out as best he could. Tonight was going to be one of those nights where he was actually going to have to work whether he liked it or not.

"After an hour Liam and Charlie finally trekked back to the bar. Liam was no longer dressed in his work attire. He had changed into his red shirt and jeans. Liam took a seat on the stool next to Charlie. He sighed a little running his hand though his hair. Things were better now between them but that was no surprise. One minute they were arguing the next they were relaxed and joking around. Charlie glanced over at Liam, "De combien de temps avez-vous et Mister club propriétaire été? [So how long have you and Mister club owner been going out?] He asked Liam curiously wanting to know as he glanced over at the bartender again. Liam glanced toward Alaine smiling a little, "Pas longtemps.. une couple de jours."[Not long.. a couple of days.] He spoke as he watched Alaine as he worked the bar.

"Au sérieux! Juste quelques ... wow. Et il traite vous bien?"[Seriously! Just a couple... wow. And he treats you well?] Once again Charlie's brotherly worry was shining through. Liam laughed a little knowing Charlie cared even if he pretended not to. He nodded at Charlie's words, "Oui, très bien."[Yes, very well.] Liam spoke chuckling a little. He liked Alaine and nothing was going to change that or so he hoped.
                                                          "

As things settled again throughout the club, Alaine helped around the club where help was needed - which for the most part was behind the bar and in the kitchens. When the twins emerged, he was on the phone with Samuel, desperately trying to get the male over here and help out. But Samuel wasn't hearing it. This was his punishment for missing too much work. The two men argued in flawless Russian before Alaine got fed up and slammed down the phone. He threw out orders to the men, still in Russian, who stared curiously at him. Those who'd been here long enough had caught on to the language as they'd heard enough of it from their two bosses. "C'mon boys, let's hurry it up. Still waiting on that Sex on the Beach, two White Russians, a Slippery n****e, and a Fuzzy Navel. Let's go." Alaine punched in the orders into the computer as he named them off, printing out two receipts and handing them to the women at the bar. "Sign both of these if you don't mind." he said, reverting back to English for the moment. The women gave flirtatious smiles that he ignored, knowing he was being watched by the eyes of his boyfriend and his equally observant twin. "Thank you. Scottie will help you get your drinks to the table."

Taking the signed slips of paper, he went back to the computer, stapling the sheets together and placing them in a drawer below the register. Sighing, he went about his work, helping the men make drinks until the crowd thinned enough that his help was no longer required. Making his way back down the bar, Alaine came towards the twins, grabbing a few sodas from the fridge; a diet coke for himself, a Dr. Pepper for Liam, and a Sprite for Charlie. "You wanted a drink earlier, pretend it's vodka." he said, placing the drink in front of the male. Turning to Liam, he smiled at the male, leaning across the bar to press a kiss to the males cheek. "So you done for the day?" he asked curiously while ignoring the other. He may wear the same face as Liam, but he was nothing like him and held no appeal to him.

"Liam glanced over at Alaine as he seemed to be talking on the phone. He could only guess who but let his mind drift elsewhere. It wasn't any of his business anyways. Liam made small talk with Charlie as he watched Alaine man the bar. He didn't think the bar worked for Alaine especially with his fascination for music. Liam would have much preferred to heard Alaine on DJ tonight. He sighed a little knowing that Alaine was in control and had to do what needed to be done tonight. Hearing Alaine speak in another language surprised him though. After all Alaine had said he didn't know anything else but English. Liam didn't swell on it since it wasn't a big deal.

Charlie watched Liam as he watched Alaine. He couldn't see what he saw but then again he was never one for men. Sure he had been adventurous a few times. Charlie had been with woman mostly though he liked being with a man sometimes. He sighed a little as he watched Alaine do his job. Charlie probably would have to get to know Alaine to understand.

Liam sat quietly talking with Charlie about home. He missed it and his family. Liam wanted to return home but not right now. He had talked about it but really he just couldn't seem himself returning if he did. Liam liked how his life was at the moment. He was happy with it. Liam glanced over to see Alaine returning to them. He smiled as Alaine brought him a soda. Liam mumbled a thank you as he opened it up taking a drink. He smiled happily at the sweet taste. Liam caught Alaine's words a little surprised though he wasn't. He couldn't help but laugh as Charlie looked a little disgusted at the sprite but drank it anyways. "Vous le lui avez demandé pour l'alcool? [You asked him for alcohol?] Liam asked looking over at Charlie. "Oui, malheureusement Mister barman savait que je n'étais pas de l'âge."[Yes, unfortunately Mister Bartender knew I wasn't of age.] Charlie spoke taking a sip of his sprite.

As Alaine turned his attention to Liam he smiled at Alaine. Liam was happy to have received a kiss from Alaine even if it was just on the cheek. "Yes, when are you done?" He asked curiously wanting to know if Alaine would be done soon. If not he could always stick around till he was. Liam had nothing else better to do and didn't work again till tomorrow. He sipped his soda a little.
                                                          "

Alaine ignored the dirty look Charlie threw him. Served him right for trying to order alcohol when he already knew that Liam was under age. Looking over he saw Liam give him an odd look as well. Probably because he'd told him he didn't know any languages. It wasn't a complete lie. Everything the male had just heard was about the extent of his Russian. Samuel, growing up the Upper East rich brat that he was, was fluent in about eight languages, Russian being his favorite. Those who had been fortunate to work here at the club long enough was somewhat fluent in his orders. Every time he got upset with the staff he threw out orders to them in Russian. Alaine having spent the most time with their dear boss, had become the most fluent among the employees. But anything beyond dishing orders and calling Samuel a worthless pig was lost on him.

He leaned against the counter, shaking his head as the male spoke. "Not for another couple of hours. Samuel decided to take the night off, so as punishment for missing so much work lately I gotta stay til closing and take care of some paperwork. I might end up just spending the night here, depending on what time it is when I get done with work." he replied sadly. Alaine didn't mind if Liam stuck around, but given the fact that his brother was in town and how long it was until the club closed, he didn't want to make the man wait so long. Popping the cap on his own soda, he took a quick sip. "So what are you two up to?" he asked, looking between the two, still trying to point out their individual traits, but it was almost impossible. From the way they wore their hair to the way they both presented themselves. Take away Liam's scruff and they were pretty damn identical.

"Liam wasn't bothered if Alaine spoke in a different language. He found it amusing mostly the way Alaien spoke. Liam was never one for Russian language. He found that Russians always seemed angry when they talked. Liam knew Alaine had probably been annoyed for having to work the club himself for tonight. He wondered where Samuel was but thought best not to ask. It wasn't his business what their boss did in his free time.

Hearing Alaine speak he was a little disappointed but understood. Liam felt bad for Alaine especially since it was mostly his fault that Alaine was being punished. They had gone out a lot over the weekend which left Sameul to man the club himself. Liam glanced toward Charlie whom was sipping his soda. He looked back toward Alaine and shrugged a little. Charlie had planned on going to go bug Johnny. He hadn't seen Johnny in years and was eager to see him. "I'll probably go see Johnny." Charlie spoke as he pushed his soda aside. Liam wasn't surprised that Charlie was going to go see Johnny. He nodded a little at Charlie's words. Liam grabbed his keys pulling off two keys and handed them to Charlie. "Here. One key is to my place and the other to Johnny's. If you can't crash at Johnny's I have an extra room." He spoke as he slipped his keys back into his pocket.

Charlie nodded smiling as he stood up. He hugged Liam quickly before looking toward Alaine, "Au revoir Mister barman. Prendre soin de mon frère."[Goodbye Mister bartender. Take care of my brother.] Charlie spoke waving slightly before turning to leave and heading toward the door. Liam shook his head a little, "Guess. I'll stick around.. unless you want me to leave." He spoke teasing Alaine a little smiling at him.
                                                          "

“Relationships are ropes. Love is a noose."

Though they did specialize in Italian cuisine, the restaurant offered quite the variety of food. The menu reflected their clientele to a T. Other than the drinks, there was nothing available on there that was under twenty-five dollars. Samuel looked over the menu as Charlotte returned with a bottle of Concha y Toro, filling two flutes and setting each glass before them, leaving the bottle in a bucket of ice beside the table.
"Lorenzo will be with you shortly to take your order." she informed Samuel, who smiled his thanks before looking through the menu again. After looking through several items, he at last decided, putting his menu aside while waiting on the waiter.

Picking up his flute, he took a small sip, smiling at the delicious wine. It wasn't often Sam drank wine, but when he did it was only the best. Luigi was brilliant as always when it came to picking out something he would like. Taking another sip, he set down his glass looking over at Micha, who was looking over the menu. "So have you heard from your little friend?" he asked, referring to Micha's female companion from last night. He vaguely recalled the man telling him he was off today, but that didn't mean much. Even on his own days off, Samuel was bound to run into at least one of his employees or sponsors. He wouldn't doubt for a second if half the people in the main dining hall knew his name. After all he wasn't one of Manhattan's elite for nothing.

"Micha looked over the menu. He had already picked something he wanted. Micha wasn't familiar with Italian food but the idea sounded good enough. He was used to eating American or German food. Micha was used to the idea of German food since he was practically raised on it. He looked up to see a female return with a bottle of wine. Micha wasn't much a wine drinker but took the glass picking it up and taking a sip from it.

He was still looking over his menu as he sat there. Micha heard Samuel speak and closed his menu sighing a little. He shook his head, "No.. I haven't been to work today. I have the day off.. If i'm lucky she'll be there tomorrow.. If not well then I'm screwed. " Micha spoke with annoyance knowing tomorrow was going to be a busy day. He grabbed his glass again taking a drink. Micha would have to ask for something different than wine when the waiter came. He didn't mind drinking wine but he didn't want to drink it the whole night.
                                                          "

Alaine arched a brow as Charlie rose from his chair, speaking again in French, the only words he only understood was goodbye mister bartender. Smiling and shaking his head, he turned his attention back to Liam. In response to the males' words, he leaned across the counter, stealing a quick kiss from his lips. Pulling back, he grinned at the male as he went about cleaning up after Charlie. Tossing the empty can in a recycling bin and the dirty rag in a hamper, he picked up his own drink and motioned for Liam to follow. Weaving through the crowd, he took Liam by the hand, leading him towards the DJ booth, "Take five man, I wanna try something." he hollered to the man currently occupying the booth. The DJ nodded, removing his headphones and stepping down from the booth.

Alaine stepped inside, setting his drink on a nearby shelf. He extended a hand to Liam, closing the booth door behind him. Looking around, he found two pairs of black and red BEATS headphones. Plugging them both in, he handed one to Liam while putting the other pair over his own ears. Leaning over the mix deck, he pushed a few knobs, readjusted the bass, and set in a new beat. Pulling forward the m-audio pad, he pulled Liam close to him. "Follow my lead." he said softly, grinning like a kid. As if he were playing a game, his fingers, pressed to the pads, making up some random hypnotic tune seemed to instantly catch his audiences attention. Some of the regular cheered as they recognized his style. The cheers grew louder as he continued, "Just keep that beat going for a minute, I'll show you the next part after I drop the bass." Keeping time with one hand and messing with the other instruments with his free hand, the crowd went wild down on the floor. The music grew faster, a surge of excitement running through him as the bass rose. Alaine signaled for Liam to stop, taking over the entire board as he dropped the beat, creating another twist of beats and pace, the crowd exploded as he made up the music as he went along, the tune soon playing back to what he and Liam started with. Alaine like a kid in a candy store as he brought the male close again, showing him the second rhythm he wanted him to preform.

" Liam waited for an answer as he sat there. He wondered if leaving would be better but he didn't want to go. Liam smiled as Alaine leaned across the counter and kissed him. He grinned as warmth spread over him as he got the message. Liam watched as Alaine went about cleaning up after Charline. He sighed a little though was surprised as Alaine motioned for him to follow. Liam stood from his stool and followed behind Alaine. He knew they were heading toward the DJ booth. Liam held onto Alaine's hand not wanting to get lost in the crowd.

Once at the booth he followed Alaine inside as the other DJ left. Liam had never been up there before so he looked it over taking it all in. He grabbed the headphones as they were handed to him. Liam slipped them over his head and covered his ears. He moved toward Alaine as he was pulled toward him. Liam looked over the different things before him not understanding a bit of it. He watched what Alaine did so he could remember. Liam nodded a little at Alaine's words. He listened as the crowd seemed to go wild. Liam smiled a little knowing he too preferred Alaine's DJing over another persons.

He followed the beat as Alaine had told him to as he messed with the audio pad. Liam knew Alaine was fun almost like a kid in a candy store. He stood beside him merely watching and doing what he was told. Liam saw Alaine signal for him to stop so he did as what was asked of him. He nodded a little as smiled a little as he listened to what Alaine had just done over the speakers. Liam could understand what Alaine saw in music and what he did. It was enjoyable and fun. He watched Alaine as he showed him another rhythm as he stood there. Liam paid close attention not wanting to get lost which didn't take much for him.

Sɑɱυεƪ ᴊᴏᵴҥʋᴀ Ɖɑᴠіʂ
“Relationships are ropes. Love is a noose."

Samuel observed he male, curious if he struck a nerve when he spoke. The way he spoke, it seemed as though the topic was taboo. He nodded, understanding his meaning all too well. It was pretty much how he felt every time Alaine declared he was taking a sudden sick day. "Hm well if she doesn't show you can always borrow my business partner. He's quite the artist. A little odd, but I'm pretty sure he wouldn't mind getting the chance to do a bit of photography work, even if it is only assistance work. Who knows maybe he'll be more of use to you than he is to me." he replied, a small smirk playing about his lips. He wouldn't doubt if Alaine heard him talking about him like that, he'd of been hit upside the head twice already.

Alaine was great when it came to things art related but anything like planning and actually running the business he was hopeless. Don't get him wrong, he was always good for ideas, and it was those ideas that were mostly keeping the club alive and kicking. Taking another sip from his flute, he set the glass aside, looking up as Lorenzo, the waiter, came towards them. He smiled politely as the young man introduced himself.
"Good evening, my name is Lorenzo, I'll be your server this evening. Our specials tonight are a 7 oz. sirloin steak smothered in a creamy garlic mushroom sauce, lobster ravioli, and salmon bruschetta, and our soup of the day is butternut squash. Do you gentlemen need a few minutes or are you ready to order?"

Samuel looked towards the male not sure if he was ready. After a few moments of awkward staring at one another, he turned toward the waiter. "I'll take the lobster ravioli, a bowl of the peasant soul, and a cup of coffee. You can tell Luigi as always he exquisite taste, but I'm afraid something like this is more of an at home wine. Another glass of this and I'll be in need of my chauffeur. The waiter smirked at Samuel's words, amused that even the great Mr. Davis had such weak tolerance. He'd seen on more than one occassion many patrons getting drunk rather quickly on this particular brand of wine. It made him curious what was so special about it, but didn't ask. Samuel turned his attention to Micha to give his order. He didn't care what the male got, it was all going on Samuel's tab anyway.

"Micha wasn't bothered by Samuel's questioning. He was fine with it really. Micha was simply annoyed by the fact that he had screwed things up with Claire. She had been one of his best assistance so far. Micha didn't want to think of the possibility of replacing her. He didn't like the idea of having to interview a ton of people then trying to narrow it down to one. The only thing he wasn't sure about was the trusting of that person. Micha trusted well but sometimes he didn't it all depended on the person he was dealing with. He didn't want to make the mistake of trusting someone only to get screwed in the end.

Listening to Samuel speak about his business partner it seemed he had a certain standard. Micha didn't really think to much of the offer. He needed someone whom could work with makeup. Micha was terrible with makeup and choosing out clothes. He was used to being behind the camera not on the sidelines. Micha nodded simply at Samuel's strange offer. "Maybe I'll take you up on the offer if she disappears." He spoke jokingly just in time for the waiter to show up. Micha looked up at the waiter as he spoke. He was glad that he had spoken of the specials perhaps they were an easier choice than looking through the menu.

Micha was ready after all he didn't really care what he ate as long as he ate. He didn't eat this morning nor had he eaten lunch. Micha's stomach rumbled at the idea of food into his system. He also knew that by drinking this wine it would only make him sick on an empty stomach. Micha listened as Samuel spoke of what he wanted and the wine. He didn't care for wine so he wasn't really sure about it. Micha looked at the waiter as he turned to him, "I'll just have the Salmon bruschetta and a glass of water." He spoke as he handed the waiter his menu. Micha needed to get food into his system and something else to drink. He had been wandering around Queens all day he didn't really stop to eat or drink.

“We are what we are, neither a good or as bad as others paint us. And what we are doesn't change how truly we feel, only how free we are to follow those feelings.”

Watching the male be able to keep up with him was nothing short of exhilarating. Alaine had trained the majority of the DJ's and the lot of them complained that he went too fast when he wanted them to copy his moves. But Liam seemed to be a fast learner and caught on quick. With the crowd below begging for more, Alaine set them up for the second verse. The track was fast enough that the crowd could find a good rhythm to dance to, but slow enough that he was sure a beginner like Liam could keep up. He stood beside his boyfriend showing him what to do, a male's voice coming on to sing, which they tweaked to flow with the whirling rhythm of the dubstep track. The song singer he'd included was Alex Clare, with bits of his song "Too Close". The song was nice on it's own, but Alaine liked taking snippets of songs and changing them up. He'd found plenty of covers online he'd preferred over the original and was just one of the many DJ's of the world that contributed to this trend.

The song slowly neared it's climax, just like before he brushed the male aside for a nice big finish. The song dimmed out and the club grew quiet for a moment as there was a pause in between tracks. It took the crowd all of ten seconds to realize things had quieted down. He smirked to himself, quite proud that he had that bit of power of people; the type of power where he can just create something so incredible that when it's over and done with it's like he's bringing them back out of some sort of enchantment. Pulling his headphones off his ears, he sighed, the only noise in the sound box coming from their headphones along with the extremely dulled sound of the bass that was blaring below. "Not so hard is it?" he teased, smiling down at the younger man. "So you wanna try again, or would you care to accompany me back to my office so I can stay sane while I finish up work?"
