Girl you're the one I want to want me
And if you want me, girl you got me
There's nothing I, no I wouldn't do
Just to get up next to you

Sixth year was a big step... One more year until N.E.W.T. exams and after that was real life... Addison was a Prefect, which meant that he wouldn't get to spend much time with his girlfriend on the train, so he wanted to spend as much time with her as he could. He'd gotten good and tall now, so he could easily see over the crowd. The teen was easily able to identify his girlfriend and made his way through the crowd towards her. "Hey Pru!" Addy called out, waving at her as he approached.

Just the thought of you
Gets me so high, so high
Oh just the thought of you
Gets me so high, so high

Lola Mutan Ye
<5th Year>

Like most years Lola arrived at the station with her Dad and little brother. Rhett was looking around excitedly and their father held on tight to his hand so he wouldn't run off. Lola could just envision her brother sneaking into her trunk to go to Hogwarts as a stowaway. Lola was sort of relieved that she would not have to attend Hogwarts while her brother was there. Even if it was a bit disappointing she wouldn't get to see his sorting. The seven year old meanwhile was looking around and said hopping up and down, "Where's your Prince Charming, Lollie? I bet he dumped you already because you are boring..."

Lola glared at her brother and their father cuffed the boy on his ear, "Be nice to your sister," He chided. "Besides you should respect your elders."

Lola stuck her tongue out at her brother when he mumbled a 'yes'. Ruffling Rhett's hair she said, "I'll see you later, munchkin. Stay out of trouble. And don't give the gnomes too hard of time."

"We're working together right now,"
Rhett said proudly. "We are plotting to invade new territories!"

Lola raised a brow and shook her head, "Devonte is probably not here yet. I'll let him know you said hi, okay."

"Yep," Rhett grinned, "also he's way too cool for you."

"Brat," Lola told her brother before hugging her father goodbye and heading into the crowds. She soon spotted Devonte but froze when she spotted his company. It was Hamilton one of the worst boys in her year. He hated her and made no secret of it. She bit her lip as she watched the two and wished she had the courage to walk right up to Devonte and greet him but instead couldn't find the nerve. She shouldn't care what some jerk like Hamilton thought but she did. And she didn't want to make Devonte embarrassed even if it wasn't a secret they were dating and Hamilton was a horrid person and influence to all that was around him.

                                                Lynn walked onto the platform, following Zeph and her father. They had, as a family, spent the entire summer together, including Minnie, so that certainly meant that Lynn wasn't bored while home. Besides, it gave her and Minnie a chance to actually talk more than they usually did, which admittedly wasn't much when they saw each other at school. Considering the different houses, she was certain that Zeph saw more of their sister than she did. In any case, she scanned the crowd, looking for Jazzy amongst the students. Hopefully she could spot her. Plus, the extra height from her heels didn't hurt either for helping her look. It was an extra inch, but it made all the difference in the world.

                                                Sighing, she stpped looking on her tiptoes and glanced at Zeph.
                                                "Please tell me you see Jazzy in all of this? I can't see her." She looked over to Minnie, hoping that the redhead could spot her as well. It'd be bad if the both of them couldn't find their friend, after all. Then again, Jazzy could be hanging out with Gid and helping him with his trunk. He'd had a rough year last year, not helped by that Ravenclaw kid that was supposedly his best friend. But, if Gid was going to be friends with him, she'd suck it up and deal, figuring that if something happened, Jazzy would hear about it and tell her.

Cal had followed behind, and wasn't even looking at her, he'd stepped in close and was looking out at everyone already on the platform through narrowed, suspicious eyes. She huffed again, louder this time, tapping her toe impatiently. "Da, I'll be fiiiiiiine. You can go! You probably need to be at the school anyway!" she told him insistently, not even flinching at the stern look he gave her in response. "I should just take you with me," he said, and she shook her head, obviously annoyed at the suggestion. "No! Da, I want to get to ride with the other first years and actually meet them and talk to them, I don't want to have to just appear out of nowhere at the school tonight!"

                                                          spaceShe turned away from him, grabbing the handle of her trolley and pushing it as if to escape him, ignoring the fact that he was following behind, and she had no hope of getting away before he let her. "Kiki," he said softly, and she ignore him, pushing harder to try and move faster. "Kiki, baby-" "Don't 'Kiki, baby' me, Da, you're being all... you, again!" she said, obviously perturbed. Cal shook his head. "Sweetheart, I'm just trying to tell you, Alethea's over that way," he said, pointing the other girl out in the crowd. His daughter stopped in her tracks, finally looking at him, then following his line of sight to see her classmate. Her mood shifted immediately, and she squealed, jumping a bit. "Oh! See, Da, I'm gonna be with a friend, you can leave," she said, redirecting to approach the other girl. He sighed, not leaving, following her as she approached Alethea and waving at the young girl as they drew near. "Ally!" Kiki declared excitedly, leaving her trolley behind as soon as she was within five feet to walk up and hug the girl. "Heya! Wanna get a car together? I think Da's gonna hover until I'm safely on the train," she said, rolling her eyes at Cal, who had taken the liberty of pushing her luggage the rest of the way to the brunette girl. "Morning, Alethea," he greeted, looking around as if to see someone who would claim responsibility for the girl. When he saw no one, he made a mental note of it, obviously concerned.

Lyall said his annual goodbyes to his parents, then ran through the passage and onto the platform. He pushed his trunk toward the train, hoping that Rider or Tori would spot him. He hadn't grown much over the summer, but he knew Tori had a love of tall heeled shoes. Perhaps she'd be easy to spot? That or Rider would sniff him out. She seemed more than able to do so. That and little Claire. She was good at finding people. For now, he'd just wait by the train. One of them should be able to find him.

Minnie
<3rd Year>

Though Minnie adored her grandparents, Minnie had to say she truly enjoyed the summer with her father and siblings. Especially because it gave her time to get to know Lynn better. It was nice to have a sister but unfortunately not having known each other till about the time they both went to Hogwarts neither end up drawn to spending as much time together as sisters might. Minnie saw Zeph all the time though, but they were in the same house. Sometimes Minnie wished Lynn had been a Hufflepuff too, but someone had to carry on their Dad's legacy of house placement, right?

Lynn has somehow convinced their Dad to let her wear heels while Minnie wore flats. Minnie knew her grandparents would have totally freaked out if she had decided to don heels with her uniform only at thirteen. Let Lynn be the wild one. Minnie was raised by a more traditional sort and she was sure it showed compared to her other siblings. Sometimes she wondered how her mother had end up with her father in the first place. At least her Dad, despite his many trysts, was always willing to take responsibility for his actions and take in his own children. Many people weren't that good at heart. Or noble.

Minnie looked over to Lynn as she fussed about finding Jazzy, asking Zeph first for if anyone in the family could see over the crowd it would be him. Shaking her head Minnie said, "I don't see her yet. I'm sure if we don't find her now we can locate her on the train when there is less people."

Gid loved coming to London, particularly because his mom played awesome old dance music for the drive. They'd get a hotel and a huge breakfast before they walked to Platform 9. There they'd say a teary goodbye. The last couple years he'd gotten lucky to run into someone willing to help move his trunk onto the magic platform. This year, he seemed on his own. Thresa helped secure the trunk, then Gid did his best to speed-hop onto the platform. He was several times slower than the next slowest kid, but he made it. He struggled to get the heavy trunk to the train, but once he did, the teen allowed himself to slump forward. That was exhausting. Not as bad as quidditch practice, but still pretty awful. He took a minute to regulate his breaths, then he looked around, hoping to find a friendly face.

                                                        Micah Yaxley headed onto the platform quietly. She had only barely convinced her parents that they didn't need to escort her to the station. She was perfectly capable and an adult. She was prefect after all. She didn't need a babysitter. They had only barely agreed to it, but at least they had. She wouldn't have to introduce them to Louie yet. They knew about him, but she hadn't actually told Louie that he was part of a plan to fool her parents, so she really didn't need them actually meeting him yet. She needed to tell him that part first. She waved goodbye to her parents, before stepping through the wall, and once through, she let the charm on her robes wear off and turn back to their hufflepuff yellow.

                                                        She left her bags with the luggage man, and went to go find Louie. She was sure he was somewhere on the crowded platform, but she didn't know where yet. She searched the crowds quietly, smiling fondly at all the languages she could hear as she walked through the crowds. One boy was speaking what sounded like possible norwegian, while another family was speaking welsh, that one she understood. She spoke far to many languages for her young age, but it was expected. Almost all of her family spoke parseltongue and yet that gene had skipped right over her. So, she had dedicated her life to learning as many languages as possible to make up for that one terrible fact. As of now, she spoke Japanese, Italian, French, Welsh, Arabic English, and Chinese. She was learning Spanish and hoped to begin working on a few more soon.

                                                        It's so єαѕу to be cуηιcαℓ.

                                                          spacePam's Summer had been interesting, to say the least. Illuminating, even, she supposed. She'd already known, obviously, about her preference for the 'fairer' sex, a fact which hadn't been particularly off-putting for the teen, or much of a surprise, given that she'd been raised by two lesbians. Unlike many people, she didn't think of straight as being the default, or really anything, so when she'd figured herself out, it'd just been something she'd made note of about herself, and filed away for when it became relevant. More surprising, though, had been the realization that she liked Aster specifically. She'd told herself repeatedly that liking girls didn't automatically mean she liked her best friend, but the sleepover had proven that wrong. She'd thought everything was fine, until Aster had changed into her pajama's and she'd caught herself staring and blushing like an idiot. When the Gryffindor had returned home the next day, Pam had been an utter wreck, tearing herself apart wondering why, why, why she had to like Aster, of all people, because Aster was her best friend and she didn't want that to be screwed up because she had a crush on her. But, reflection on the reality hadn't left her much room to argue with it, and in the end, she had to admit, it had been inevitable. She liked girls, after all, and if she liked girls, there was no reason she wouldn't like Aster, who was and had always been her favorite girl. Her best friend, who was admittedly very pretty in her own way, and funny and clever and exciting and a million other things that made her the obvious best choice in regards to someone Pam could've developed feelings for. In the end, it had all boiled down to, 'of course I like Aster,' and that had been the end of it.

                                                          spaceOr, well. Not the end of it, not really. She hadn't told Aster yet, having spent most of the Summer trying to work up the nerve to do so. In the end, she'd waited until she would be returning to school, because she figured that, if nothing else, if she ended up being rejected, she could spend some time with Zeph or one of her other friends to make up for the undoubtedly awkward reaction from Aster. Pam tended to flounder if she didn't have adequate socializing to do, and over the Summer, Aster was her only outlet. During the school year, if her best friend needed space, she had other people she could hang out with, and who would hopefully help ease her through how much it was going to suck. But, before she could worry about any of that, she had to actually tell Aster she did, in fact, like her, which she was absolutely going to do. Now. She'd thought about waiting until they were on the train, but they'd probably end up in a car with some of their classmates and that would be awkward, so it was better to do it now. She spotted the other girl easily enough, and, obviously determined, made her way over, moving a little more stiffly than usual. "Aster! Um, hey, can I talk to you?" she asked, blushing slightly. This was going to be so huge. Nothing had ever, in all her life, been this huge. But, she had to do it. Aster was the best person she knew, which meant that there was no way she was ever going to be able to ignore this until it went away. It wouldn't go away, not unless she confessed and was rejected and absolutely had no choice. If there was ever an uncertain 'maybe' lingering, she'd pine for the rest of her life, and it simply wasn't in her nature to do that.

                                          Sera's father had dropped her off a good fifteen minutes before the train left and aparated away trusting her to find her own way. She had taken the train for three years now so there was no reason she shouldn't be trusted. Besides she was trusted to take Alec to Diagon Alley without a house elf this summer. She worried for a moment about her little brother hoping he'd be okay this year. She knew that last year he had gotten tormented some because of the Avery family problems. At least now the only thing that happened was that their great uncle decided to divorce his wife to move in with some mistress that he had apparently had a son with some years before. The kid was rumored to be a third year but Sera didn't know which one. Some boy. Who knew and why would it matter who the man's b*****d was. She was working to drop off her trunk when she froze for a moment spotting the great uncle. Oh he had some nerve. And there was that young woman who looked to be young enough to be a daughter with him. Ew. Why was it always okay for such older men to pursue such young women. Probably because a younger woman was easier to dominate. Men liked to rule and the world was made for men more so than women Sera found. She paused with her trunk scowling at the two, with the muggle woman giggling like some moron and Peter Avery looking like some pompous old lord of some sort. Disgusting. At least someone was happy that the head of the family was locked away. It gave him the freedom to show off some pretty young muggle tart without worrying what Daddy and Mummy dearest would say or do. Judging by the charges of the two, Sera reckoned offing the muggle woman and probably the son too. She let out a long irritated sigh as she watched with a scowl as the two left out the barrier.

Made something better, he kept it for himself.
I'm not that stupid, I just need a lot of help-
To understand how stupid you really are.
Down at the bottom of the ocean, I lay down;
Nobody's coming; just continue to drown.
And no one here could ever stop my ruin now.
And I know I've got a lot to fear; you'll get me out...
Oh, God, just get me out of here.

Anti was dismayed when the girl did not leave, rather Ceri smiled so sweetly at her that she visibly recoiled. No one had ever smiled like that at her and meant it; her mother had a sweet smile and so did Cyrus. Stop pretending you care, she wanted to snap, just so you can feel good about yourself. Ceri and her had never talked before this. She barely knew the Hufflepuff, and the other girl certainly didn't know her. So no, she couldn't talk to her, she could barely even talk to the people she considered friends. And she didn't want to talk, she wanted to- she didn't know what she wanted, she wanted to scream and hex something and push her brother on the tracks in front of an oncoming train. She wanted a lot of things she couldn't have. "Everything," she enunciated like her tongue was balancing on the edge of a knife, "Is fine. But thank you so much for inquiring." A fine sheen of sarcasm coated the last bit, and she was a bit taken aback. Usually she was quite good at masking it; she was rarely this rude outright. Maybe she just didn't care anymore.

Nobody's daughter, she never was, she never will-
Be beholden to anyone she cannot kill!
You don't understand how damaged we really are.
You don't understand how evil we really are.
And I will dig my own grave, yeah...
I'm misbegotten; I am the last one you save here.
Of course I'll sleep forever and forever;
Anesthetize all your horrors away.

Selina Grey xxxxxxxxxxxxx Fianna Grey xxxxxxxxxxxxx Hannah Grey
Ravenclaw Fifth Year xxxxxxxxxxxx Unsorted First Year xxxxxxxxxxxx Hufflepuff Third Year

Fianna's blue eyes were wide with excitement as she took in the marvels of the world opening up before her. Half a lifetime ago her cousin was brought here to this great rail terminus to meet the train for the first time, and three years ago it was her older sister's first time. Now her time was finally here at last. While she led the way for the rest of her family, her father was pulling her trunk along.

"Fan le haghaidh an chuid eile againn," she heard her mother call out to her, but Fianna couldn't be faulted if she were more than a little excited. Her day had come, her turn to go to Hogwarts was now, and she wanted to soak it all in, and she didn't want to wait any longer. "Níl mé ag iarraidh an traein a fhágáil gan dúinn," she said, over her shoulder. She turned to see where she was going, and had to dance lightly around a man in an overcoat to avoid rushing straight into him in her zeal to reach the barrier.

The man caught a glimpse of a small, slim girl with long red hair, dressed in a pair of jeans with flared cuffs, and a bright green and white footballer's jersey which was long enough that it reached her knees.

"She's going to cannon straight into folk," grumbled Hannah to her mother. The newly minted Third Year had yet to change into her school clothes yet, determined to hang onto those last precious few moments which summer had let before succumbing to the grind of the school year, especially since she now had something like sixteen classes to get through this year. While she was wearing her Hufflepuff Pride Tee-shirt, it was paired up with a cute little denim skirt, with a pair of sneakers and ankle socks. Her long indigo hair was pulled back in a puffy ponytail, and tied with a bright yellow hair ribbon. The girl was pulling along her trunk behind her, with the case for her broomstick strapped to the top of it.

"The three of you are coming home for Christmas, yes?" asked Livinia of her elder daughter, and her newly adopted niece. Hannah answered, "Of course we're coming home, Ma. Why wouldn't we?." As Hannah answered her mother, Selina snapped shut the cover of her pocket watch, and replied with an audible sniff, "Cén fáth nach ba mhaith linn, Siobhan? Tá tú anois ranganna déag a choinneáil suas i, agus tá mé fiche OWLs a scríobh. Ní mór obair ranga áite."

Of the three girls, Selina looked the part of being an older student. The fifteen year old Ravenclaw was already dressed in a short wool skirt with her House's colours rendered in muted plaid, with black stockings, and a pair of high-heeled shoes with chunky three-inch heels. This was paired up with a fitted black vest, which accented her curves, and a crisp white dress blouse with long puffed sleeves, and her neatly knotted school tie. Attached to her vest was her newly acquired Prefect's badge. Her long brunette hair was pulled back, neatly brushed out, with a dark blue hair ribbon for accent.

Over one shoulder was slung her dragonhide book bag, the top of which was being used as a place for Hepzibah to drape herself over like some bizarre-looking fashion accessory, and Selina was dragging along her own school trunk on an appliance dolly, which had a second, smaller trunk (loaded full of study materials, and extra books) strapped to it, in addition to the case for her broomstick.

Glancing toward the direction Fianna was rushing toward, Selina added, with a note of irritation, "Chomh maith le, duine againn ar riachtanais a shocrú ar an sampla."

"Don't worry, Ma," Hannah promised, "I'll be working on convincing her to come home." Hugging both girls, Livinia Grey told them, "We love you, all three of you." Looking at her newest addition, she added, "You're the eldest, Selina, watch for your cousins; particularly Fianna. You know how much trouble she can get into." Accepting the responsibility placed upon her with grave seriousness, Selina replied, "Ná bíodh imní ort, Aintín Livinia. Beidh mé garda iad le mo shaol."

Livinia closed her eyes, and hugged the older girl again. "I didn't mean it that way," she said, reminded again of that awful stormy night, when the young girl shielded her baby brother and her cousins with her body from falling debris, and her father's stinging response. 'At least she was good for something.' Looking the girl squarely in her eyes, Livinia added, "I don't care what hateful things your father said. You're nobody's spare anything, Selina."

Hugh paused to hug his daughter, and then Selina. "The matter's settled, Selina; you belong with us now, in name and blood. You have a home now, our home. I'll be here to collect all three of you for Christmas; all right?" Selina nodded, and said, "I do not wish to be held to a promise which I am unsure I can fulfill, but I will try to come ... home." Her voice stuck on the last word, as she thought again about the house, her home, which was no longer hers, lost in the legal maelstrom of paying off her father's debts and settling her parents' estates.

"Ye two might want to catch up with Fianna," said Hugh with a chuckle. "Rate she's going she'll be halfway te Hogwarts a'fore the train be leavin' the station." Livinia passed a small ball of orange fur to Selina, and said, "Make sure Daniel to gets to your cousin, dear." Selina accepted the kitten into her care, and she and Hannah started toward the train.

After passing their carts off to be loaded onto the train, the girls walked along the platform. Selina soon spotted Fianna amongst the other students, she also saw Anti, seated in a chair. She walked over to her friend and Housemate. "Anti," she said. "I wanted to see you again over the summer."

Translations: "Wait for the rest of us."
"I don't want the train to leave without us."
"Why wouldn't we, Siobhan? You now have sixteen classes to keep up in, and I have twenty OWLs to write. Classwork must take precedence."
"Besides, one of us needs to set the example."
"Do not worry, Aunt Livinia. I will guard them with my life."

She goes, unnoticed she knows, no limits
She craves, attention she praises, an image
She prays to be, sculpted by the sculptor
Oh, she don't see, the light that's shining

                                          ﻬஐ Caty ran straight through the barrier at near full speed excited to be going back to school, unsurprisingly even more so than last year. This year was going to be completely different! For one thing her two longest and best friends were finally coming so they could go out and do all the exploring they had said they would. She already had a couple places marked off on the map she had gotten from one of the older Slytherin students plus now they could work on something equally as amazing: their own insignia. All the major groups had one and she was sure they would figure something out. Another plus, and the bigger one if she was honest, was that Rhys wasn't going to be so much of an arse this year. After their little make up session at the beginning of the summer she had sorta still walked on eggshells around her older brother and had been reminded of that brief time when they had first been adopted and she hadn't understood being someone's sister, let alone a little sister. But just like then she started warming back up to him so now she was to a point where she didn't think he would completely push her out of his life if she surprised him with a hug in public. He'd still blush and look uncomfortable but at least he'd allow her, and this was a major development in her mind. Speaking of the white haired teen, she didn't see him anywhere but she did see Pru heading off probably to look for her friends and (sigh) Addy. Incidentally she spotted Di surrounded by what looked like her family, an older boy, Colin, and Aimee. She conisdered going over and joining the makeshift party but she saw familiar heads of blonde and squealed as they turned out to be her best friends. Thankful that she had said her goodbyes before breaching the barrier, Caty ran over to them and threw her arms over both of them simultaneously for a giant hug, which was slightly miraculous considering both boys were actually taller than her. But she had practice so there was that. "Bas! Balder! This is gonna be so great that you're finally here! I've got a map and everything! And when we get all out schedules finalized we're gonna go explo-oh! OhmygoshI'msosorry!" She apologized in mortification seeing that there was another girl already standing there probably talking to both boys. She didn't look older and she would've definitely remembered if she had been in any of her classes so she must've been a first year too. And she just barged in like this?! Guh, she was such a horrible person! "Hi, I'm Caty Blake, a second year Slytherin." she reached out a hand to shake and nearly kicked herself since she spotted her non-inconspicuous crutches and if they worked anything like the ones Gid had (and they did look very similar) she should probably wait until they were all seated before trying to shake hands. Immediately after arriving onto the platform, Layton glanced around with his eye, rubbing the back of his head and looking around for Selina. After a bit of searching, he noticed her walking towards Anti, and was about to join her when he remembered the last time he did, and how awkward it had been. So instead of following, he carried his things to a pillar and rested upon it, his arms tired from carrying all he had. He looked down at his chest, where his prefect badge had been pinned, and adjusted it slightly, smiling. He was ecstatic when it had come in, and while he was surprised that he had made prefect, due to a certain.. incident, he was definitely excited. He just hoped that Selina had made prefect as well. He honestly found it hard to believe that she wouldn't.

Well, the crooks are out, and the streets are gray...
You know I wouldn't have it any other way.
Your mother's words, they're ringing still-
But your mother don't pay our bills.
A sinister kid is a kid who runs to meet his Maker...

Cy weaved his way through the crowd, not entirely sure where he was going. There was no point in boarding the train yet; barely anyone was on it. But most people on the platform were congregated into small family and friend groups, so he didn't have much hope here either. He really wished he'd been a Hufflepuff at times like these. It'd have made making friends oh so much easier. His disposition put off most of his house; he would have thrived, he thought, in a more... accepting house. But what could you do? He passed by mothers and fathers and children and traced the outlines of the scars on one palm with a finger, testing to see if they were ridged or not. Owls' beaks did more damage than he had assumed they could. His mistake. He spotted Vander and Wendy, reunited at last like a couple in a muggle film he'd sneaked out to see once, and Anti a redhead and her housemate, the Grey, hovering over her. His sister, he admitted, could probably use a bit of comfort right now. She'd had a miserable summer. His hadn't been half bad, despite being laid up in bed for a week or so. He was none the worse for it, in fact, he felt even better. Cy had learned a few very important things over the course of his summer. First, if you are going to kill something with a beak and talons, you really ought to wear gloves, no matter how much it seems to ruin the moment. Second, frail girls can hit hard. Third, happy is a state of mind. Cy just wanted to be happy, after all, and now he really knew, for sure, how to achieve that. He hummed under his breath as he recognized a familiar face, and walked up to Sera Avery with a polite grin. "How are you, Sera?" She shouldn't mind the familiarity; they would practically be cousins when Wendy and Vander married.

A drop dead sprint from the day he's born-
Straight into his Maker's arms!
And that's me, the boy with the broken halo;
That's me, the devil won't let me be.
I got a tortured mind, and my blade is sharp...
A bad combination in the dark.
