miken-chan More about Tales of the Abyss' theme: "Karma"
So far, I've found 3 orchestrated versions of it on bluelaguna.net where they list game OSTs. They are: In Between 1 and 0, Mirrors and Meaning of Birth. This means it pretty much a main theme...so it'll be hard for the localization team to get rid of it!!!
So let's all hope that for once, they keep the original intro!!! So, if you have mentioned this, I must've missed it, who plays "Karma" the theme of Abyss? I hope it sounds nice... I'm probably going to listen to it on Bluelaguna.net eventually.

It's a song that'll get stuck in your head, but it never gets annoying, at BlueLaguna, just look for the listed versions under the Tales of the Abyss OST.

But, if it follows the trend of all of the other localized games, Karma might be cut out...but, we were lucky when they kept Legendia's vocalized ending song, so...let's keep our fingers crossed...

I just found out why the PS2 version of Symphonia (with all of it's amazing hi-ougis) didn't make it to North America.
It's because Nintendo itself funded the game, and dished out a ton of money to hire Scott Menville, Cam Clarke, Tara strong and probably a couple more...that means it's virtually impossible to localize it here under the same name and with the same voices... if they did bring it over here, it would mean a big mess for both companies.

I'm currently scanlating the French Symphonia manga. The site for the french version allows me to use their scans as a base for mine, but remember, all of the work I'm basing mine on is done by them! Give a lot of credit to them!!! Also, jokes puns and all of that good stuff was probably lost between the tranlations from Japanese to French to English... Here's what I have so far: CHAPTER 2Page 52--- Page 53--- Page 54--- Page 55--- Page 56Page 57--- Page 58--- Page 59Note, I'm only a novice at french, and some lines may have been modified due to confusing words or profanity. Also, it's only me working alone, so it takes a long time to get everything done. Also, this is my first project, so it's pretty novice-level for a scanlation... PS-I'll update this post if anyone wants me to continue scanlating... PPS-Chapter one is already scanlated by Eternal, here it is: Chapter 1Note, for Chapter 1, you'll need a WinRAR or WinZIP program to decomprss the files. Tell me if the Chapter 1 link is down and I'll find the new one, and thank the Evil Empire Forum for uploading it up onto the internet. (Evil empire helps host ALL of the manga for the Tales series (As well as at leas 300 others), but you have to join and make at least 10 posts to download anything, PM me if you wan to join that forum) PPPS-I might not post the splash pages, seeing as my cleaning and editing skills are far from being able to do that... ----------------------------------------- Update: 10/2/06 -Page 58 is slightly weird...and even if I go back and change it, it's still comes out the same... Update: 10/3/06 -Page 58 corrected, 53 reworded, 59 added. Note: -Currently borrowing Kingdom Hearts I and II...I'll be back eventually...

I'm not sure if anyone is aware of this or not, but there is going to be a Tales of Symphonia OVA to be released in Japan in 2007. now all us american Tales-lovers will have to pray to the gods above that they'll release it in America.
Or, at the very least, send so many hate-mails to Nintendo that they'll never keep one from us again. twisted

We already know...
Thoush I have something to add...There's actually a chance that it might come to North America, because, as reported by Phantasian Productions, the Tales of Phantasia OVA (for which Symphonia is a prequel for) is coming to America, plus Symphonia was a major 3rd party hit for the GameCube...but it'll probably take years, since it has to be released and somewone has to plan to bring it over here...
I'm perfectly fine with watching a Japanese subtitle version though...

Yeah...far too often do they keep the best versions of the game from us Americans...or dumb it down so ridiculously it's no longer even worth playing. Why must they torture us so?

Those are good! A little off, but gaia does have limited items and hairstyles...
As for me, I really want to get Tales of the Abyss ASAP, Mostly because I saw the English OP (and a couple anime cutscenes)..and guess what...
They're using an instrumental version of Karma!!! Yay!
Now...I just have to finish volunteering and get a paying job...Too bad the only places that really hire 14 year olds are fast-food restaurants (and sometimes grocery stores)...Well, I think minimum wage is good enough...

Okay, I'm trying to get a job that won't kill me (one that won't take up so much time that I can't do homework) so I can get Abyss...
Oh yeah, I forgot to remind you that Tales of the Tempest is already out! And since it's on a handheld (DS), you can play it on the one you have right now! If you have a DS, import it! Or if you have a PSP, wait for the Release of Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology (The ToW series is like a crossover full of fanservice for the whole series) and the port of Tales of Destiny 2...of course, you're gonna need a translation guide to understand 'em...
*Note, ToW:RM allows you to choose wether your a melee fighter or mage, your gender, hair, face and even voice! Of course the Giant Tree theme is used (once again...)
