Reason: Kiri as a nurse has been spending her time doing lots of "babysitting" in some cases. She has frequently been tending to the needs of the children in their pride. This is setting off her biological clock; however, she feels deeply concerned about dishonoring her noble family by having a child outside of wedlock. She knows it isn't necessarily a pride law. Still, she just feels on a personal level that she just wants to do things right.
Anyways, Kiri was delighted to receive a familiar who was found on the pride grounds. Though he is technically her slave, she has treated him like a son. She would really love a child to love and raise.

History: Setaki, indeed, was stubborn. Like a stain, after the old king's death, his insistence on the old ways was like a stain and blemish to the new regime. He was like a reminder of a bad memory that you couldn't get rid of. He had never strayed very far from the pride borders; always meandering in the roguelands just outside the borders. He would watch those who entered and those who left.
Also on history, he met the 2 who come with him because of his frequent habitation on that pride's outskirts. When they seemed to have befriended him in his exile, he invited them back with him after they encouraged him to go home.
Prompt: (Having been allowed back into the pride, you start to realize things are indeed very different. Non-purple lions everywhere! Mysterious groundlings playing in the woods. Even the king's illegitimate children are running around without care. Do you like these changes you see, or are you completely horrified? Somewhere in between, perhaps?)
To be frank, Setaki harbors a deep and bittering outrage at how lax things are. He has a secret agenda to get to all the children of the pride who are rightly purple like they should be. He hopes to reinforce the old prejudices and instill negativity in their minds towards the other colored lions. He has come to terms that he might never be able to overthrow Bhana. He has decided instead to incite a revolution from the inside. Like a little fox that nibbles at the vine just above the ground, thus making the whole thing fall to pieces.
He does feel a sense, however, about all these mixed children. Some who are partially purple and yet partially something else. He feels they do not exude the true noble element, but they might hold the ancient genes in them to give birth to new generations of proper nobels. For this reason, he has chosen to tolerate them, but they are never treated as well publicly by him as the full purple lions are.

Personality: He is a really easy going guy. He loves the pride. He has always felt honored that the war council considered him worthy to serve in this capacity. Additionally, while he understands the pride's basics of being purple to be noble and such things. He just doesn't feel quite so zealous nor as discriminating as some others do. This probably comes in handy as he is often elected to do the patrols along the borders. He keeps an eye out for those who don't belong and slaves who are trying to escape, cubs running away, and those sorts of things.
History: He has grown up in the pride. In fact, his grandfather once served on the war council under Bwana's grandfather. When the chaos broke out before Bwana took over, Umlindi's own father elected to not take a noble position as he disliked all the changes that were ensuing in the pride. Umlindi's father elected to become a merchant. Still, many in the pride's nobility knew Umlindi's family. It was more because of this than any other factor that he was elected to be part of the guard. He came from a long line of proudly purple, brave, and heart-stout type lions. Everyone was happy when he was on the stroll.

I would love for him to be involved with the plot of the returning stubborn lion. The returning stubborn noble knew Umlindi's grandfather in fact. Since Indi often walks the borders; he was a perfect lion to help him return. Of course, this is a double edged sword for Indi in the Stubborn lion's eyes since he also is allowing the new bands of strangers past the borders as well since he knows that Bwana is a kind and accepting king.
Additionally, he is glad to have his own disposition because he has been rather fancied with Kiri'ua since she came back. He has secretly been watching her from afar. His own distant memory of her leaving. He had always hoped she might come back, and since she has, he has been delighted. He gave her the familiar who lives with her now. He found it wandering too close to the border and thought it a nice welcome home present.
Description: Heavy on the purple! no pinks. other colors with the dark purple can be gold, black, some blues and white if need be. however, i'd like the dark purple to be most prominent. I'd also like tribal markings on him. Placement, color, and size of markings is up to you. I only ask that he isn't blanketed; neither is it only minimally.
Reference Image(s): (just some image ref ideas for styles of tribals i'm especially interested in though you do not need to use them if you have your own better ideas!)this one has a good line that's good on wrists/ankles while also giving one that could work on shoulders/back :: second one on this also looks pretty cool and could really fit in with the SF overall themes ::

Caja, I noticed everyone trying for the custom is doing an adult. Does that mean you only want adults or could I pick a cubby for an age? Also the pride favors things like beads feathers furs. Should I request items in the custom? Or is it something to get for a lion after, in one of those user run shops?

Mei Silja Caja, I noticed everyone trying for the custom is doing an adult. Does that mean you only want adults or could I pick a cubby for an age? Also the pride favors things like beads feathers furs. Should I request items in the custom? Or is it something to get for a lion after, in one of those user run shops?
Items are up to you to get if you want them. They aren't something that's required for certs or anything, more of a RP thing. xD If you want to get some items at a shop, you're more than welcome to. I, however, do not have permission to make edits on normal SoA lines yet.
