[EVENT] Hide and seek - Open!

[Feral Mule]

Giggling, she lept up on things to try to get the butterfly when it floated too far away. "Heeeey." She whined at it, reaching for it with a claw again and huffed. "No fair, I can't fly! Come down here this instant!" She clamored up onto a big rock and jumped, trying to reach the insect.

But, she managed to not catch the butterfly and just fell onto her belly, gasping for air. She had the wind knocked out of her with that. Groaning, she curled up on her side and huffed again, kicking up more dust, tail flicking this way and that. That was no fair... The stupid butterfly could fly really high and she couldn't! Maybe that's why she'd stick with lizards.

He scurried over to a different area. This spot seemed pleasant. He could see a cub relaxing here, under the shade of the tree. It would be nice. He knew if he was a cubs this would be the spot he would hide at. But just like before he had no luck finding the cubs. 'ugh just let the brats be. It's obvious they don't want to be found. That or their dead. Me? I'm hoping for the later.' his darker side thought. No he did not want to find the cubs dead. They were so young, so innocent. He blocked his other side, not wanting to hear anymore from him.

Jumping to her paws, her pale green eyes looked around and spotted a lizard not too far up ahead of her. Smirking, she stalked her pray and pounced, only to collide with the tree it was on and without the lizard. Whining, she clutched her head, which is what hit the tree first, and growled. Stupid nature! It was being a butt!

Macaria took a moment and rested in the dirt. This was truly tiring work. Someday, and that day was far off, when he had cubs, he would be sure never to let them roam this far. He didn't want his cubs to cause a panic like this. He took a moment and admired the clouds above. They were so peaceful. He watched birds fly over head. Maybe one of the cubs were watching the clouds above, he thoughts as they drifted. Maybe that's why they are so quiet. That or they were intense when it came to hide and seek. He laughed before getting up.

She guessed if she ran into a cub or something and somehow managed to realize it was the lost cub she'd help out all of the leopards panicking. But it was best to stay as hidden as said cubs, for now.

She would keep moving, she wouldn't spend too much time in one spot.

"Argh!" She cried out, getting to her paws once more. She marched away from that area, angry. Anina's fur was bristled, her ears were back. Those stupid nature toys hated her! That's all it was. Everything hated her!

"Water doesn't hate. I should go swimming!" Her attention span wasn't very broad at this point.

Heading towards the watering hole, she stopped and blinked. What did she hear? What was that? Frowning, she moved closer to a tree and saw a squirrel dropping nuts on the ground and more squirrels gathering them all up. They were hunting dinner, too! But why nuts? Nuts weren't good. Meat was good! Squirrels should eat lizards too. "Hey, hey squirrels! I'm going to catch you a lizard, OK? Then you can eat really good!"

Ligeia came to a spot of the jungle where thick sunlight came streaming through the canopy. She stopped for a moment to take it in on her dark fur. The soil was wet and heavy here, and the warmth of the sun in comparison to the cool dirt on her feet was refreshing and revitalizing.

Hunting a lizard was just as hard as before though! Only now she couldn't even see them. Pouting, she puffed out her cheeks and squatted down to the ground, crawling on her stomach. "Lizards? Come here! I want to play. Come here now!"

“You can come out, no one is angry with you.” Jazi spoke softly as he walked through the dense foliage, wondering what the little missing cubs might be thinking if they were to see the large search party. “You are not in trouble but there are many here who are worried about you.”

The usually quiet leopard kept talking in much the same way as he continued his search, his nose wrinkling as the breeze ruffled the long hairs on his chest and brought him new scents. Nothing smelled like cub though.

Ligeia sat down where she was, and took the time to just scan the area visually. No sign of the cubs. Then again, the other leopards and leopardesses of the search party could have disturbed what few clues had been left around by them.

Macaria as a cub couldn't hold still for five seconds. How could these cubs still be in their hiding spots. By now he was starting to seriously worry them. It didn't help that he had his own inner pessimist in his head. Sometimes he wished he could completely turn his dark side off. He let out a sigh. For now making sure he was in control at all times was the best he could do. He would keep his dark side in the back corners of his mind. It wasn't something he should be worrying about right now anyways. There were more important matters like the cubs to deal with.

Finally! A rustling happened. Grinning, she turned to where the bush was rustling and charged it with a mighty battle cry. However, she didn't notice it was a sticker bush! Whimpering in pain and tears in her eyes, she quickly retreated and sat down on her haunches.

Ligeia flopped onto her back to let the sun get her stomach for a little bit. Were there any cubs at all? Maybe they'd moved on. She stood and shook off the dirt. She shrugged and sighed to herself. Well, might as well check a different area, then.
