When Rhega was finished stretching, she bent down to pick up the small radio, fitting it snugly into her ear and flesh against her skin so she could speak into it without interference. She had picked out a few spots on the ground that she could take minimal refuge in due to lack of light on her way to the wall. She then searched the wall for the nearest spot she could climb that would bring her closest to an access point to the city below without attention being drawn to her.
There were access towers connected to the wall for the guards use scattered every few hundred feet, one of which she focused on and observed the surrounding guards. Their movement patterns were not in a way that would give her a complete window. It would not be particularly easy for her to get through unseen... She calculated that she could run a mile in approximately seven minutes. Considering this was about three-quarters of a mile, she could run it straight in five and a half.
While all of these thoughts and calculations were running through her head, a cloud passed over the moon above them, taking away an appreciable amount of light that was shining around. She stopped her thoughts short and took off running immediately into the first spot she noted that was dark in the open area. Her eyes remained fixed on the guards spread out on the wall, darting between them and keeping track of which direction they were facing. The area in the clearing she was targeting was perhaps 300m ahead of her, approximately a quarter of the total distance she would want to run. It was in the shade of one of the access towers, but due to the angle the shadow cast, it was not a location she could stay in for long to get where she needed. Shortly after she reached the area of shadow, the cloud passed the moon, revealing light on the clearing once more and she crouched to the ground, trying to stay as tight and low as possible, so as to take up as little space as she could and remain still, waiting for her next window of opportunity and observing the guards walking up and down the length of the wall, some occasionally stopping, others chatting, some watching things on either side of the wall intently.

Dr. Lumen didn't understand the entirety of what had happened, or was still occurring. But he was a cautious man and didn't jump to any conclusions without facts to back it up. So, even if Erakai had actually switched places with an innocent, he wouldn't have just opened the barrier and let them go. As the boy cried out and began hyperventilating, Von felt a strange sort of pressure in his head and he was compelled to release the boy. It was a potent feeling and before he realized what he was even doing he had stepped over to the control panel and lifting his hand up. He paused right above the green pad. He tried to clear his mind, but that was proving difficult for some reason. Unable to determine what was going on he resorted to a measure he had been avoiding. "LRS command 003-A, Pain." He spoke in a level tone, activating the first testing of the LRS system that had been installed. Erakai would experience a sharp, electrical shock pain through his body. Feeling like unto a tazer shocking him inside and out. Von did not know what he was dealing with but his gut told him that Erakai was still around, whether he was the boy or just hiding somewhere in the shadows.
"All is fair in love, war, and science!"

Rhega waited patiently, crouched down to the ground in her minimal cover, for the next cloud to pass over before she took off running again, silent as could be and moving swiftly. Her eyes remained on the guards above her. She decided to take a risk and keep on going towards the wall, sacrificing the last couple of seconds of cover that she would have had. She quickly reached the wall and began climbing with ease. Her small, light frame allowed her to move quickly and without struggle up the large stones. As she was reaching the top, a guard looked over the edge of the wall, having suspected something. She picked up speed as his eyes widened and he made a surprised hoot. As her hands grasped the upper ridge, she pulled herself up into a handstand as the guard reached for his weapon and coming down to clasp her legs around his neck, ripping him to the ground. As she came down with him, she pulled one of the tactical knives from her boot and landed in a crouching position over his body, bringing the hilt of her blade down hard on his temple, rendering him unconscious. Immediately, she flipped the blade in her hand and brought it straight down into his heart. A quick and silent death. No one was going to be alive to give away any information about her identity.
Aside from the small noise he made, this all happened relatively quietly, although she immediately looked up to set her sights on the nearest guard to them. He was a couple hundred feet away and facing away from them, so she rapidly replaced the blade and ran full speed for the other side of the wall, jumping from it onto a roof nearby and took off running at full speed. By the time she reached the end of the roof and jumped down, grasping the edge with her hands and hanging there motionless, she heard the shouts of the other guards, noticing their fallen comrade. She would have to be careful, now. There was no other option than to kill him, but the city guard would be alert now for anything suspicious. Luckily, it was a fairly high tech city, so her garb and weapons wouldn't be completely out of place, but she would stick to the shadows just in case.
After dark, the city seemed fairly quiet, although the buzz of the newly active guard was around in the distance. Every now and then a vehicle would pass and she would have to press against the wall of a dark alleyway or crouch behind an object, but she managed to easily evade the basically trained units around. After a few minutes, she managed to made her way into the area of town where the target lived. She remained nearly a block from the target's house, leaning casually against the brick of a closed shop's wall, her vision honing in on the building, watching. She wanted to stake out the location, observe the target's activity for a time before she attempted any infiltration.

Erakai could barely keep up his act in his excitement as Dr. Lumen stepped up to the little pad that stood between him and his freedom. And then... The doctor paused. What?! No.... No no no no no... He began breathing harder, as though that would force his nonexistent compassion to pull through and make him place his hand on the pad. The he spoke. Some kind of command. Before Erakai could whisper again, force it even harder onto Dr. Lumen, pain suddenly rushed through him. It was so sudden and so violent that he forgot he was acting and he screamed out in pain, the illusion falling away. What was happening? He didn't know anymore, his brain too scattered from the painful electricity flying through his veins, his muscles, his brain, everywhere. How was this happening?! Finally realizing it was the collar, he frantically began clawing at it, digging his nails deep into his skin, trying his best to rip it off. Of course it was futile but he had to try.. He could not take the pain.. Wild eyes found Dr. Lumen and they flared with anger and, underneath that, a bit of panic. Now more than ever did he know that Dr. Lumen was a true monster...

Rhega's focus never left the house down the street. Though the blinds were closed, she could catch faint changes in light and shadow through the opaque barrier. The target was at least where he was supposed to be, eliminating a search mission on her part. The less time she had to spend sneaking around this city, the better.
A few moments later, she watched the front door open and a man emerge, wearing a large coat. While it covered him well, the shape of his body was distorted beneath it. Rhega noted that he was armed with at least one weapon, although she was unable to identify it. As he began walking down the street, she let out a nearly silent hiss, beginning to make her descent into the shadows of the alleyway behind her, crouching down behind a local dumpster. There goes her idea of a quick, easy mission. Not only was the target on the move, now, but he was in public territory, meaning any confrontation would capture the attention of locals and make her escape with him much more difficult once he was in custody.
While there was a good possibility that he was alerted by the death she left in her wake on her way in, it was possible that he was headed somewhere else. Regardless, she had no time to waste on this mission. Kale was very clear about the fact it needed to be done quickly. She would have to result to rashness in the end, she was sure. While the idea of risk and action excited her, she did not want to endanger her newly taken position under Kale and near the King so quickly. Seconds ticked by as these thoughts swirled around in her head and she pressed her head flesh against the wall of the building, so she could see through the small gap between it and the dumpster, watching for the target to approach her location.

Erakai had no idea how long the pain lasted, it felt like an eternity. In reality he supposed it was only a few seconds seeing as Dr. Lumen didn't really move. He was amazed that the good doctor didn't throw his head back and give an evil cackle. It would have fit. Finally though, the pain did fade and he was able to breathe, which he did so greedily, gasping in the air. He felt weak and he still twitched a little here and there. "A..... And... You people... call me the... monster...." he spat with potent venom. How could they call him such a thing when all he did was kill a few to survive and then there they were, putting collars on people just so they can send him pain and torture. It was more than cruel... It was totally insane... He might have been out of his mind but at least he had enough of a mind to never do a thing like this. Besides, when he killed the people were generally in a state of bliss from his bite. Not writhing on the floor in excruciating pain..
He wanted so badly to try whispering into the shadows again, the gain his freedom, but.. He was...... afraid.... No.. Never show fear.. He glared at the doctor, his crimson eyes furious. There was no fear in them now. "Oh you think you can stop me with just this...? You don't know the half of my powers... I could do things to you that you could not even imagine..." he threatened, half bluffing as a slow smile crept over his face, the look chilling.

As Rhega sat waiting for her target to approach closer, she noticed the lights of the city grow brighter. Her eyes narrowed in anger as she shrunk back into the diminishing shadow of the dumpster she hid behind, her body pressed flesh against its surface. She heard soldiers approaching and stop to speak to a man, who was giving them orders. That must be her target, as he would be the only one nearby with the rank to direct others in such a manner. There were out searching and he had others remain within speaking distance for safety and efficiency...
Rhega rolled her tongue across her teeth in frustration, her mind working through her options. She regretted having to kill that guard and bring attention to the presence of an infiltrator, but she had no choice. At least it was quiet and effective. The plan she had envisioned in her head kept crumbling away as new challenges became evident and she was ready to take on the obstacles with determination. It was clear she may have to bring deaths to more than just that one guard with how things looked now. The thought made her heart race and her blood grow hot, but she did not want to endanger her mission.
She looked again through the crack between the dumpster and the wall to note that no one had yet passed. She then looked behind her down the alleyway, which ended with a tall, brick wall a few hundred feet away. There were piles of bags around with another dumpster a little farther back as well. She realized that she wouldn't be able to take on four soldiers at once alone, especially considering one of them was her target, a seasoned warrior. If she had to take them all on, it was possible to at least spread them out a bit.
She was sure that she may be able to draw out her target, or the soldier accompanying him nearby, into the alleyway where there was a bit more privacy. There, she would at least have the comfort of cover from wide searches and would confine her opponents to a smaller area of combat, where it would be difficult to ambush her with many men at once. There was no real way around this that she saw. If she left the confines of this back alley, she would expose herself to much more than 4 soldiers. And if she eliminated these enemies quickly and quietly enough, no further alarm would have to be raised before she got her target in custody.
She took in a deep, silent breath and a hard, emotionless expression settled on her face as she came to her decision. She heard footsteps approaching and she searched the ground for anything that would make noise. She found a pebble on the ground near her feet, perhaps two inches in diameter, and held it in her hand, waiting. When her target seemed close enough, she tossed it down into the back of the alley, just hard enough for it to be clear that a noise was made. It rolled a few times before coming to a stop. She waited silently, her hands coming up to grasp the handles of the longer laser-blades against her back, not yet unsheathing them.
