Keiko quickly gets her Pokemon checked on before leaving the Pokecenter with Toren, who led her around Fortree, which looked like some kind of nature reserve. When Toren mentioned climbing, Keiko wasn't sure why, until she looked up.
"Oh, wow," Keiko said, looking up at the treehouses. When she saw Toren climbing, she followed him up.

It was a pretty high climb up but eventually both of them would make it to the top, Toren now standing on a platform looking down as he awaited Keiko's arrival. "Wow uh...it's pretty high...how do they get their kids to do this, yo?" Toren said, gulping hard as he took in exactly how high they were. "...and they walk on wood and rope bridges!?" He shouted as he noticed the bridge behind him connecting platforms.
"Must be... good for 'em," Keiko huffed as she finally made her way to the top. "Good exercise to... huhh... to build muscles, and... CRAP, this is too high!" she yelled, the threshold of her poltieness stretched to its limit.

Toren would let out a sigh before deciding to finally cross the wooden bridge, trying his hardest not to look down as he walked over it. Only once did he flinch, accidentally peering down about halfway across, the man picking up the pace as he almost ran across it, leaving Keiko to fend for herself.
Keiko was far too tired from the climb to try to keep up with Toren. Fortunately, though, she was smart enough not to look down, and just looked forward, focused on getting across.
When she finally did catch up with Toren, she had managed to catch her breath. "What's the rush?" she asked, not realizing what drove him to run for it.

"Rush!? No rush!" Toren almost shouted, still kind of shook over realizing how high up they were. "There is the place, come on, let's get something to eat and chill out yo..." He panted a little as he entered a building constructed on this platform, a sign above it reading 'Tree Top Tavern'.
Inside the 'tavern' they would find a pretty 'natural' looking environment, the chairs stumps, the tables just slabs of wood, and the 'ceiling' actually just a thick canopy of living tree branches and leaves. Without delay Toren would find them a table and sit down, promptly picking up a menu shaped like a leaf and began to read it over as they waited for a waiter. The man still seemed on edge though, was he afraid of heights?

"Wow, they're really going for that theme," Keiko said with a slight smile before picking up a menu and sitting opposite Toren. She could tell that he was still on edge, but talking about it likely wouldn't help. It would be best if he could relax and take his mind off the terrifying height.
After looking over the menu a little more Toren would order a bowl of the house soup once the waitress come by, the woman handing them both glasses of water. Once the waitress got Keiko's order she would promptly walk off to fetch their meals.
"So, where did that freaky science experiment go, yo?" Toren asked, noting that Castform wasn't nearby.
"We're on the roof," Rala's voice would echo in Keiko's mind, causing her to glance at said roof for a brief second before she realized that she didn't have x-ray vision and gave a weak shrug at Toren. "Dunno. Maybe he's admiring the view?" she asked slightly teasingly, ignoring Toren's insult of Castform.
Outside, the town's locals would indeed see a Gardevoir sitting on the roof of the inn while a Castform floated around her, smiling widely at the world around it as though it was the first time it was witnessing nature's beauty, whether that was actually the case or not.

"Dunno. Maybe he's admiring the view?" she asked slightly teasingly, ignoring Toren's insult of Castform.
Outside, the town's locals would indeed see a Gardevoir sitting on the roof of the inn while a Castform floated around her, smiling widely at the world around it as though it was the first time it was witnessing nature's beauty, whether that was actually the case or not.
The waitress would soon return, bringing Keiko and Toren their food, the male member of the duo promptly digging (diving?) into his soup. For a vegetarian dish it was pretty dang good. "So, how is what's-his-name?" Toren asked between gulps, implying Terashi but forgetting his name at the moment.
Keiko started enjoying her meal almost right away, but was immediately distracted when I was implied. Apparently, she instinctually knew he was referring to me. "I don't know. That's kind of why I'm making this journey. I haven't heard from him at all since his training started," she said, looking kind of down.

"Not at all?" Toren asked out of surprise, putting his spoon down. "He hasn't like, text, emailed, or even sent a letter, yo?" He asked further. "Where is he again? I got the memory of a Goldeen, cuz." He laughed.
"Mossdeep City, training with the Gym Leaders, there," Keiko explained, getting the feeling that he was asking for her benefit and didn't really forget, but she didn't call him on it because she couldn't know for sure. "He's training to awaken some psychic ability in him. Sub said he had the talent to be a channeler, so he went for it."

"Really, cuz?" Toren said, awestruck by the prospect. "I mean, if my bro Sub said that then you know it's true, yo!" He laughed at first, but soon his laugh would fade away and he would frown a bit before (figuratively) burying his nose in his soup, spooning it up without making further eye contact. What happened?
"Hey, are you okay?" Keiko asked, looking worried. "You've been avoiding the topic of Snagem since we started travelling together..." She trailed off when a realization dawned upon her, and she looked away. "Nevermind, you don't have to talk about it if you don't want to. I can understand if something bad happened."
