Once again, I went through quite the journey with this one... Due to the fact that I've used yellow as my main color twice already, I was struggling to do something original. I worked on a few versions where my theme was moon and stars, but that felt somewhat expected and I just really wasn't inspired. But then I was listening to my playlist and the song "Buttercup" by Jack Stauber came on, and immediately I felt the inspiration I was previously lacking.
I interpret the song to be about someone who is in love, but the other person doesn't feel the same way (or at least they are oblivious to those feelings). The singer sees their target of affection as so wonderful, that it physically hurts them. So I tried keeping that level of idolization in mind when working on this outfit, trying to look at Rhiannon with the eyes of someone completely infatuated with her.
The main color is of course yellow, while white and brown are minimal accent colors. The green loosens up the whole thing and gives it a pop of freshness. I chose to keep the look more casual and cottagecore this time, rather than making it fantasy, because I wanted this entry to feel more real, if that makes sense. I think a lot of us can relate to the feeling of being completely smitten by someone.
The soft dress, frilly socks and puffy sleeves all make Rhiannon look even sweeter and more gentle than usual, as I wanted to really highlight the characteristics that would make someone fall in love with her. The flower accessories in her hair and the flowers behind her are of course another big nod to the song that inspired the outfit, but also a play at the old 'shojo manga' trope, where people are drawn to be surrounded by flowers, in order to point out their beauty, kindness, or importance. (A few examples of what I mean: 123) Shojo mangas are also a genre of japanese comics that are themed around love stories, so I thought that really fits with my interpretation of the song! :3
Description: Honestly when I think red, I think blood. And after brainstorming a couple of mostly blood looks, I decided to go with the least bloody option, a vampire queen! The end result of my outfit is both the concept of a vampire with the words most associated with the color red, passion and violence.
I started my look by creating the gown using a sequin ball gown as the base and adding a foreground (foregown?) skirt with a slit that added sexy element as well as ripped allusion that was pretty cool. I knew I wanted a romantic image of a vampire, so I combined those with a corset top that transformed the neckline into more of a heart shape to get a little literal and topped that off with a crimson belt that helped blend the elements together.
The base dress had a sparkly gold halter top so I added a gold choker to make the unit look like a cohesive necklace. The jewelry is where I ended up deciding on adding the royal element as I found a circlet that came with small gold earrings. As a bonus I managed to find one with jewels that looked like a blood drops that would go perfect on a vampire monarch. After placing this however, I did notice that the gold blended in with my model's hair a lot so I ended up adding a bandana which also helped add an extra pop of red.
Finally, Talia is finished off with a touch of eyeliner and some light blood splatter on her lips, clawed hands, and upper leg that make it look like she is freshly fed or fresh from battle with her prey. Her background is meant to be an outdoor castle corridor covered in rose bushes, which also symbolize passion. The staged look is meant to be my model stepping forward and sparkling a bit in the light... which may be another, less serious vampire reference lol
Due to a lot of the same color being used in both the look and background, I have included a no background version for visibility!
oh god the end is coming in hot good luck everybody!!!!
Desc totally lost my mind with this one, I went through 3 different outfits before I sorta blacked out and came out with this gorgeous gown. there's really not a lot out there for teal, but just enough that I could lean into this Hades (the Disney villain one) themed look. made up of heavy layers, I wanted this gown to have a mix of every tone that falls under the 'teal' category to prevent it from just being a smash of in-your-face bright teal. the outfit itself is meant to feel like something that could be a noblewoman's villain costume, like a female Hades character. originally I wanted a large hat or laurel, however, I'm surprisingly happy with this circlet compromise, I feel it adds just enough of that fantasy vibe and helps the eyeshadow feel less overpowering. the background is what I struggled with.. most things just clashed and I was debating just leaving one out completely. stumbling upon 'I am radioactively suffering' was perfect, it amps up the shade I used for eyeshadow while not suffocating the rest of the outfit. it also works just like I hoped for the Hades theme, making it really seem like the scene out of an artist's stylized underworld.
once again, mwah mwah heart thank you lovely mentor for helping my indecisiveness

Challenge #10 At The End of the Rainbow Feedback
Top Designer: Detrimentum — Helena • We loved this conceptual idea of tarot for your look! It was creative and so well done. You also had a very strong description, giving us all the details we wanted to hear. Strong entry all around. • Really the only downside to this look was it wasn't purple enough. This was the rainbow challenge! We wanted the purple to punch us in the face. The shades you chose while lovely all skewed a little too blue or pink. We needed something that was just purple.
Dickjoke — Talia • We want to really commend you on the quality of your entries, from the angles you choose of the looks for the description, you always give us something we enjoy. Now onto the look itself, thank you for knocking us out with the red. Talia looks great! You gave us a simple look, but full of so much thought and detail it bring it together. • At this point of the competition, our judging is really getting nitpicky, and this is no exception. Maybe a little more black at the bottom of the look would balance things better. Maybe a change of the shoulder adornment. Maybe something a little bit more creative than a vampire look for a red challenge. There was no big thing you did wrong. Just the little things.
HELLPRIEST — Seren • You nailed the challenge of bringing blue to the look, and we loved that you chose the butterfly motif, it was creative and strong. Especially having the frames in the background as a nod to taxidermy? Inspired. Easily one of the most creative entries this week. • Over all, much like with d**k, there are just little things wrong, and some of it is just a vibe for the judges rather than anything specific. The jewelry is a little overwhelming on the head for some of us, and the arms are kind of odd. The make up was a little heavy handed. The shade of blue, while stunning and powerful, was almost over powering on Seren.
clowniing — Rhiannon • It was good, cute, and it matched the shojo motif you were going for. We got the vibe and liked it. A really strong description too, really gave us great insight into your mind and what you're doing. • This is another entry that we wanted to be SMACKED with yellow, and we just got a kiss on the cheek. Rhiannon could have handled bold, sunflower yellow, maybe with some violet to tie in the blue tones of her hair while still emphasizing the yellow. It would have been so nice to see, and also a pleasant difference from past looks. It also would have been nice to see a more elegant look on Rhiannon, rather than another similar cute look.
mythological irony — Sumati • Like always, you make Sumati beautiful to behold. Also per the usual, your creativity shines, as it's evident that you spent a lot of time and effort building the exact garment and scene from scratch, layering them meticulously to make the image perfect. Your passion is relentless! • The Judges felt that your Autumnal Fairy was a bit predictable for the orange colour. 'Seasons' and 'Fae' have been overused this cycle already. Not to mention, this gave off really strong 'Pocahontas — Challenge #6' vibes.
ICLite — Lulu • Your assigned colour was obviously one of the more challenging ones, but you persevered. The Judges loved the Hades concept, and thought that your use of varied teal/turquoise shades served Lulu fairly well. • The colour balance is a bit off with the distracting black blob in the background, and the lighter tones being quite top-heavy. As well, the use of space feels off, as though there's one or two too many. Lastly, this was dinged quite a bit by one Judge who wasn't happy to see it submitted late.
Ultrabord — Ava • You've only been with your Model a short time, but it's clear that you already understand her style needs. The colour scheme is on point, and the garment gives Ava a very feminine and sexy physique. That's the silhouette of one wicked woman! • Two things, love ... First of all, the background colours and B&W additions steal the perfectly befitting green hues' focus by a lot. Second, and most importantly (PSA to all Designers here): THE JUDGES ARE OVER DRAGONS! From the onslaught of dragon-themed outfits received from the very first challenge, tolerance for them has only diminished. As talented as you are, Ultra, your Creativity score was abysmal this week.
Eliminated: smol bab — Amren • Amren is simply adorable in this pink interpretation. Good on you for using as much Amaranth as you could get away with, as that colour really brings out your Model's gentle features — Softness suits Amren. And as usual, you did a good job colour balancing. • 'Cute', 'Fine', 'Pretty' ... all words that the Judges used to describe your entry, but at this stage of the game, those words just aren't enough. The Judges need more! 'Love, softness, innocence and femininity' is not a game plan — It's a basis; A vague and ambiguous idea that requires definition.
Designer: Ultrabord Model: Ava Theme: Ladies of the Red Carpet Outfit Title: Pride Gala
Description:
I was inspired by the last challenge and chose a rainbow theme, making a look inspired by a combination of pride parade and charity gala. Ava is attending a celebrity fundraiser to promote diversity and inclusivity for models, actors, and other celebrities, along with her plus one. After all, people want to be included and represented in every form of media, regardless of race, ethnic background, gender, or who they love.
For the outfit, I wanted to create a rainbow dress without using the original classic rainbow items, instead finding coordinating color gradients to form as much of a spectrum as possible. To tie the look together, I used pieces that have similar gold and black accents, a complimentary curtain and background with a rose-red carpet and a few roses scattered on the ground. Ava's outfit is reminiscent of a flamboyant peacock in full splendor, with a spectrum of gorgeous colors on full display, while her girlfriend's contrasting and more neutral outfit reflects the more muted colors of a peahen, yet still showcasing an elegant gala-worthy outfit. (And this is just a detail I included for fun and continuity; her companion has a slightly similar appearance to the one from neapolitangirl's Valentine date scene, although her outfit and hairstyle are completely different- I wanted her to be the same young lady, and they've been dating for a while now.)
OOC: tbh I could've probably done something more original last time. (and my default name is "bord" ) my concern for this round is that I made it too busy, but it's really challenging to make a good rainbow outfit

"Evil Queen's Day Off" by clowniing
☆゜・。。・゜゜・。。・゜★
What fun is ruling a kingdom, if you can't enjoy yourself now and again?
☆゜・。。・゜゜・。。・゜★
Oh my god. You guys have no idea what kind of odyssey this outfit was, my ideas literally went all over the place, from a regular gala, to a virtual gala, a space gala, .... I was halfway done with another look, when I found the rose crown item and it reminded me of Sleeping Beauty. But I was determined to do something sexy and elegant this time, rather than cute and innocent, because I wanted to try putting Rhiannon in a different light, so I couldn't make her into a princess....... So how about a villain instead? The thought of an evil queen rolling up to a gala event on her day off was just so funny to me, that I had to go with it.
Villains, and especially evil queens, just tend to absolutely SLAY. Their outfits and makeup are on point, and you really just look at them and go redface because they're so stunning. I tried to balance an elegant red carpet gala look, with the powerful, dangerous and avantgarde appearance of an evil queen. I gave her a fairly simple, elegant gown that puts the focus on her extravagant accessories, and also lets her show off her legs and chest, transforming her innocent gaze into something far more seductive and sultry.
A lot of her look is influenced by Sleeping Beauty, as that evil queen was a fairy (hence the wings), and the thorns and roses are also a nod to that. The color scheme, black and purple, are also directly inspired by Maleficent from the 1959 Disney movie.
In this look I've envisioned what it would be like for Seren to be an up and coming starlet vying for attention on the red carpet! I looked through a few things for inspiration but I was falling flat, only finding sleek gowns and sleek silhouettes. She feels the type to me to want to make a statement, she wants to hear the deafening sound of thousands of camera shutters going off the second she steps onto the carpet and what better way than to embrace the odd.
I wanted to break the typical 'elegant' silhouette that accompanies most event ware, but i still wanted to keep it classical and refined with the elements cohering together despite their differences. I paired the horned beret with the eye mask to give a sort of designer accessory look ( Balenciaga, Alexander Mcqueen, Vivinne Westwood ). The large bracelets are statement pieces in the same sort of way, and the earrings round out the profile nicely, tying in with the circular theme the look has going.
In my mind I can just hear the gasps and cameras clicking with this look and I hope you can too!

♥︎ Designer: Detrimentum ♥︎ Model: Helena ♥︎ Challenge: #11 - Ladies of the Red Carpet ♥︎ Outift Title: Deep-Sea Vogue ♥︎ Description:
This time, I started with research. I went through many sites and photos of red carpet looks. I found outfits that people called the most iconic and ones they called the worst. So, based on my research, I found a few ideas and mixed them to create a unique look for Helena.
My main inspirations were transparent black dresses, which are pretty timeless (such as the 2020 Vanity Fair Oscars Party Hailey Bieber's dress, the 2018 MTV Video Music Awards Rita Ora's dress or the 2023 Met Gala Billie Eilish's dress) with an eccentric (and called by many the worst, at least in 2015) octopus dress of Z LaLa from 2015 American Music Awards. Those were my main inspirations, but I still wanted Helena to look unique, so I mixed the sheer elements with the octopi to create a stylish and avant-garde version of Z LaLa's dress.
For this challenge, Helena is sporting a black leotard with a transparent skirt, making it look like a one-piece dress. The skirt has tentacle-like shapes sewn on it with light spots, which I imagine to be some jewels or gemstones. Some of the patterns go outside of the skirt, creating a 3d impression of tentacles looking to grab something or someone. Then I used a cutter to change the shape of the top of her bodysuit, so it would show off more of her cleavage and be even more sensual. On Helena's head sits a headpiece made of coral and navy flowers, under which I put another veil-like headpiece made of dangling beads. She wears golden heels and dark stockings. As for her jewellery, Helena is wearing a navy choker on her neck, gold and navy earrings and her arms are adorned with pretty bracelets.
Her background isn't too intense, but that's just because it's not the main focus. Helena is the centre of attention, and that's why there's a spotlight shining on her, and the lights in the back are meant to represent the camera flashes.
I tried to avoid doing something too simple - a queen or a witch. With that, I started to ponder even more, what could work nicely as a theme and would look good on Helena. Then, suddenly I remembered the High Priestess tarot card. It was the perfect combination of what purple represents. The High Priestess is a card that means, when upright, things like intuition, sacred knowledge, and divine femininity. Which means, it's a good combination of magic and mystique.
I imagine Helena would wear it either to a fashion event, similar to a Met Gala, an award show or perhaps a movie premiere. The dress could be very fitting as an outfit for a new rendition of Ursula from The Little Mermaid.

A Swan Princess mythological irony • Sumati
I am admittedly very unfamiliar with red carpet events and vogue fashion in general--with my only stepping stone being a Met Gala Runway theme--so I've spent a great deal of time researching for this prompt. In the end, I decided to go the Met Gala route because I love the idea of having an overarching theme that people are expected to follow.
For my imagined Met Gala, I've chosen a nature theme. I was inspired by a numberoflooks from this year's Met Gala that pushed me in this direction. I also wanted to include an element of fantasy to her outfit (probably because I've had fantasy balls on my mind and I thought that would make a nice red carpet theme, as well).
I chose to turn Sumati into a swan princess, dressing her up in a feather gown, with tail feathers sprawling out at the bottom--and a secondary skirt/legmod underneath to give her a slit in her dress and add a little sex appeal to the outfit--and a shawl of downy feathers on her shoulders. I gave her a golden (which matched so nicely with her eyes) crown with crystals--I thought the chains over her face paired well with the overall delicate nature of her outfit--and feather ear pieces to balance out the number of feathers at the bottom. I added a golden cincher to tie in with her crown and help break up some of the white. Then I added the bertha from Glacial Vault as a centerpiece on her chest.
For her makeup, I've given her a red eyeshadow base and then embellished it with white lashes and white sparkles on her cheeks.
Description: For this challenge I wanted to create an outfit I'd want to see at my dream Met Gala theme which would be the military chic aesthetic. I blame my obsession on uniforms a little bit on having family in the military, and a lot on Janet Jackson's Rhythm Nation outfit which I was obsessed with as a young joke!
I started the look by combining a sparkly corset with a lacy bra and bottom set to make my bodysuit. For the bottoms I went back and forth over a look with pants and a look without, but ultimately decided on the thigh high boots which felt more fun and chic like something Lady Gaga would put together for an event!
To add military flair to the top, I added a shoulder pad set with tassels and hid the snowflake on the lapel with a pin to make it look like a military medal. I fell in love with the arm pose which def added to my theme, and added the neck bows and veil to make the back view more elegant like a off runaway piece since I knew I wanted to show that off. Finally, I added the beret as a twist on an army style hat which had the added bonus of fitting very nicely with the gold flowers on my veil and an little earring to add another pop of gold.
I had a lot of fun throwing together eye shadows for my model's make up, and attempted to use the eye liner with a bit of white and pink blush to contour Talia's cheeks and add more glam to the outfit.
For the background I was gonna go with the actual red carpet item on Gaia but it made my colored heel disappear so I ended up going with a marble pond background with red water that kinda looked like a carpet and I added a front piece to make the foreground and background look more connected! I then added some flowers as the Met is known for its hedges of flowers along the entrance and they also helped disguise some of the water effects at the edges of the red pool. Finally I added some lighting and a bokeh effect to make it look like camera lights were flashing just out of frame.
Top Designer: mythological irony — Sumati • This entry stood out as the best of the best. Your motif was clear, concise, and inspired by real time looks. The colour scheme made Sumati radiate gorgeous and ethereal beauty, and the softness of the image was absolutely charming. • The only downfall were in the smaller details, which all of the Judges had a different aesthetic on. One mentioned the chunkiness of the accessories being too much, one mentioned the fading in the top half to be heavy, the other mentioned an imbalance of gold between the top and bottom.
Dickjoke — Talia • This was not a look that was expected, but it WAS highly appreciated. The look to inspire your design is an iconic moment in pop culture, and you executed it with a sharp eye for the details. Thank you for letting us in on your design journey! • You have a tendency to take the abstract approach to your designs, which is quite refreshing, but also dangerous. Your motif suffered a little this week, as you strayed from expectation a bit too much. The Judges wish you'd made your entry just a little more opulent.
HELLPRIEST — Seren • This challenge was right up your alley, as you've demonstrated your talents for the avante-garde in your brand. The circular motif was brilliant, and white palette was genius, and the way you conveyed your vision from pen to paper really shows the kind of demented, and totally stylish mind you have. • For the reason that this is your brand, the Judged were expecting a lot more from you. While the garment is stunning, the overall image is still lacking. The minimalism is a bit too much, and your score would have been a lot higher if there had been effort thrown into the background.
Detrimentum — Helena • The realization you made from your design to your muses is totally kick-a**, and you didn't miss a beat in your interpretation. We all instantly knew where your motif came from, and the Judges were eating up your creative use of lights and that headpiece you chose! • The way the dress was composed was a little underwhelming. The Judges really see any link to the High Priestess you wowed them with before. And the dark colours on Helena don't really jive all that well.
clowniing — Rhiannon • The Judges all agreed that Rhiannon looks absolutely stunning here. The look is creative, and very complimentary, from the garment choices to build the silhouette, to the colour scheme, which is totally fitting for the ebony Goddess. • The main gripe had, was that this outfit strayed from the challenge theme a bit too much. It is very much 'Disney Villain' forward, instead of 'Red Carpet'. Perhaps a gala-styled background might have helped, as this one was a bit too matchy-matchy.
Ultrabord — Ava • The red carpet event you chose to portray had the Judges postitively giddy with excitement, as this theme is SO up Ava's alley. They also loved your description, and your choices of vibrant colours. We're all here for the peacock era. • It's on the right track, but it needs some serious editing. Everything comes across as a little bit messy, like the gold accents. Though the biggest eyesore was the companion. It was cute to include the throwback, but she doesn't fit in with the established colour theme whatsoever.

☆゜・。。・゜゜・。。・゜★
I paired Rhiannon with the kin Ranger Kastra! As always I went through a LOT of different looks, but ultimately ended on this one, because I really wanted to do a more 'out there' style that wouldn't be expected of me. I also wanted to choose a kin that didn't have any clothing items themed after it, as I thought that might be too easy.
I was very much inspired by 'Retro Futurism', which is one of my favorite aesthetics ever! It means that something is futuristic, but in a specifically 80's or 90's kind of way. It's super charming to me, so I utilized that for this challenge!
My main color scheme was therefor a holographic one, fitting to the 90's vibe I was going for, and of course matching the colors of my chosen kin! Tones of blue, pink, white, and purple, with a few pale gold accents. The background consists of a moon to reflect Ranger Kastra's little moon marking, and a clock to symbolize the futurism.
I gave Rhiannon a jacket with puffy sleeves that is reminiscent of a space suit, a short flowy skirt, along with classic 90's sneakers. I also layered two different legs over each other in order to give her higher socks! Originally I really wanted to give her cute antennas to also match with her kin, but the ones that would have fit unfortunately just didn't really go with her dark hair. So instead I gave her a headband with little horns, as they really remind me of old mecha anime like Evangelion.
Designer: Ultrabord Model: Ava Challenge: Gaian's Best Friend Outfit Title: Friendly Fire
Description:
I chose Murapi, a kin that matches Ava's fierce and beautiful aesthetic with warm colors to flatter the model. This adorable fiery fluffball might not always know what he's supposed to be doing, but he's a loving and loyal friend who will always fight by your side. The Murapi reminds me of lions and foxes, both fiercely independent wild creatures, but with the sweetness of domestic cats and dogs. Since he's a fiery-looking kith, I included a Lake Kindred forest background with some mystical crystals and the Murapi's fiery magic- let's hope he doesn't accidentally hit his friends with those fireballs, that would be taking friendly fire a bit too literally.
For Ava's coordinating outfit, I chose the fluffy orange shawl to begin with, a top and skirt with a corset that show off the fiery colors to match her Murapi friend, and some matching hiking boots and gloves; hopefully they're fire resistant. I found a headpiece and ear cuffs that beautifully mirrored the fiery mane on her kin friend's head, and a moderate amount of warm-toned makeup to finish the look. There's absolutely no doubt that these two are a strong, fiery team who are ready to bring the heat in battle- respectfully, of course.
need to work harder on aesthetic and everything. le sigh. on the bright side, I really love this kin and outfit, hope other people like it too
