Subject: Rain Starwind
Capsule:
User Image
Cale's Right hand woman: A red headed gunslinging mandalorian pirate girl.
You can stop drooling now boys.
Rain Starwind's origional parents, both Imperial personel, happen to suffer the bad luck of being onboard the first Death Star when it blew up.
When no surviving kin took her in, the 2 year old Rain was adopted by a clan of nomadic Mando'ade and trained in their ways. Her adopted mother was a proffesional huntress while her father was one of the few armorsmiths still capable of manufaturing Mandalorian Iron and Steel.
She was trained in the Mando ways throughout her childhood, how to hunt, how to fight, how to shoot, and how to survive. It wasn't an easy existance by no means. It was a hard life.
At age Thirteen, her mother took her to Rodia to test her skills. She performed flawlessly, taking down a ghest she had tracked with a blaster pistol and vibroblade.
It was the proudest day of her life. On that day she was awarded her own blue and white suit of armor by her father as a symbol of her triumph.
She continued to live with her drifting clan, helping her mother and father raise her younger brothers. She also became fascinated with Naval warfare, a traight she had adopted from her origional parents. Her mother and father encouraged her studies and she took to them with a passion.
When she was eighteen, she aced the entry exam for the New Republic Naval Academy with flying colors.
Three months later she was forced to leave after putting a senator's pervert son in traction.
Her naval career ruined before it began she found herself wallowing in a bar when another lewd barve tried hitting on her. After demolishing the bar in a particularly violent blastfight, the two wound up getting arrested and incarcerated in a local cop shop.
During this brief stay, the outlaw introduced himself as Cale Darksun. Knowing what had happened to her and needing someone with naval experience, Cale offered her a command position in his pirate fleet.
After the two broke out of jail she agreed.
Rain quickly proved herself capable of commanding and overseeing the operations of a pirate fleet. She has also proven capable of throwing off Cale's occasional advances, a feat ((he'd like to belive)) near impossible.
Skilled in all aspects of melee and ranged combat, she's a fierce and tough opponent. She favors the Blastech Annihilator heavy pistol as well as several vibroknives she crafted from the teeth of a dead ghest. Though she still has a suit of Mandalorian Shock Trooper armor, it sees little use due to her current proffesion. But woe be to anyone who find themselves starring into her t-shaped visor on the days she breaks it out.
Her loyalty to Cale is only surpassed by Rak the Barabel's, despite Cale's many flaws. Standing about 5'9" and about one hundred and fourty pounds of lean athletic muscle, She tends to turn heads wherever she goes.
Her hobbies include maintaining her impressive weapons collection, holochess, drinking, and working out.
Her turn ons include Naval history and tactics, martial prowess, people who respect her culture and herritage, and good net'ra gal.
Turn offs include cheesy pick up lines, dresses, pacifists, and anyone she deems a coward or idiot.

Subject: Seperatist Commandos.

The Republic wasn't the only side to use commandos durring the clone war. The Sepratists had them too. And while the varried races of the CIS may have had their own traditions and training methods, the most common of them, humanoids who wore distinctive red and grey uniforms, were the ones who aquired the name of Seperatist Commandos.

The First of these Comando units were the Nimbus Comandos of Jabiimi. During the battle on that mud soaked battlefield, the Nimbus wreked havoc with the slower forces of the Republic. These hevily armored soldiers wore boots equiped with special repulsorlift skates that allowed them to speed across the muddy surface of their homeworld.

The success of these commandos, coupled with the threat of the Republic's own elite soldiers, convinced the CIS to make their own Special Forces Corp. They recruited the best of their mercenary armies to join this Corp. Led by a mix of Mandalorian and Nimbus Survivor comanders, the Sepratist Comandos soon became a powerful fighting force, Rivaling the Republic's Comandos in effectiveness.

The Armor of the Comandos drew primarily from the Nimbus Corp design wise, though the faceplate borrowed from Mandalorian armor. The suit itself was made from lightweight, yet tough, composite plates with an armorweave shirt and skirt. The undersuit, like Clonetrooper armor, was climate controlled and insulated, which allowed for the Commandos to see battle across many worlds of the galaxy. The Corp retained the repulsor skates used by the Nimbus and used them to great effect in treacherous ground. The Helmit had an internal HUD which could display a vast amount of information to the soldier and was often scomp linked to the Comando's rifle. When worn with the armor, the suit could be sealed to protect against weather and biological threats.

The Equipment of the Commandos was primarily anything that the individual soldier wanted to carry in his sturdy backpack. Being that most of the Sepratist Comandos were well payed battlefield veterans, they tended to carry superior gear than the average Clone Comando, though the Sepratist forces had to buy their own gear. Usually they would carry field rations, a collapsable missle tube, grenades(which were issuded), a light shield, a medpac, and ammo for their weapons. These Consisted of munitions produced by SoroSuub: A heavy blaster pistol and the SC Rifle, a sturdy knock off of Blastech's DC-17m. The SC was a high powered weapon, designed to bypass the armor of Clonetroopers and, more importantly, Katarn armor. It offered much of the same attachments that the DC-17m offered, a sniper and an anti armor attachment, though these could not be as quickly applied to the gun as the DC-17m system.

Capsule: User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

The Nebula-class Star Destroyer, more commonly known as the Defender-class Star Destroyer due to its role as destroyer in the New Class Defender program, is the New Republic/Galactic Alliance's pride and joy. Based off of the success of the Victory-class Star Destroyer and it's successors, The Republic Engineering Corporation built a capable destroyer. With it's relatively small build of only 1,040 meters long (less than 66% of an Imperator-class), the Nebula can take on an Imperator-II, two heavy cruisers, and an entire fleet of support ships on with ease and precision with the aid of 40 turbolaser batteries, 20 ion cannons, 8 tractor beams, and 8 concussion missle tubes, each able to hold a payload of 30 missiles at one time. In addition, the Nebula was entirely capable of defending itself. Structurally, it was well made, featuring a sleek design that makes it hard to believe the prototype looked like this: User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show. Luckily, that design was scrapped early in the Nebula's design, and the bridge tower was lost entirely. This allowed the Nebula to avoid a tactic that the Republic often used against the Empire, assault at the elevated bridge itself. Instead, the bridge is built into the front of the ship itself, allowing a wide range of the battlefield. In addition, the Nebula can counter starfighters with its own squadrons, usually K-Wings, A-Wings, E-Wings, X-Wings, Defender-fighters, shuttles, and various gunboats and support craft. Last but not least, the destroyer also featured a Class 1 hyperdrive, allowing it to get out of any mess it couldn't handle (there were'nt many). The first Nebula-class was comissioned the Obi-Wan and saw action during the Black Fleet Crisis.

One interesting bit of information to note is that the New Republic tried to repeat the same success that the Galactic Republic had during the Clone Wars with the Venator and Victory-class Star Destroyers, one of which was a dedicated battleship, while the other was a carrier but capable of combat.

The Nebula served as the dedicated battleship while a larger version with less armory called the Endurance-class Assault Carrier played the role of the Victory-class.

Capsule: User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

The followup design to his Victory-class Star Destroyer, Walex Blissex's Republic-class Star Destroyer could easily outmatch the successor to the Victory, the Imperator-1. The Republic featured the advantage of costing half of an Imperator, using only a fifth of the crew to operate, 40 turbolasers, 40 ion cannons, and 10 tractor beams. It featured a 1.5 class hyperdrive, allowing it to speed past the Class 2 of the Imperator 1. All this aside, the craft would easily be destroyed if pitched alone against an Imperator-II. The Republic was 1,250 meters longer, a little smaller than the 1,600 m long Imperator. Unfortunately, it features less cargo space because of the room made for weaponry. However, it could carry 2,300 ground troops, and 36 long rage fighters, such as K-Wings and Defenders. Lastly, it asthetically took design features from Mon Cal cruisers, a deviation from the dagger shape shared by all other Star Destroyers.

Although it was an all-over weak ship, its cheap cost and ability for mass production favored it over the stronger Nebula-class.

A Blastech Design, this weapon saw use early in the Clone Wars before the Mandalorian Death Watch bought the patent and started producing them for themselves.
Bad move for Blastech.
The DE-10 is a Heavy Blaster Pistol that makes any gunfighter look good. Accurate, Durable, and with excellent stopping power this gun is also balanced enough to pull off about every gunslinging stunt in the book.
She comes with an optional scope and even has a charged shot setting. The Guide recomends you dont use this, as it tends to melt the barrel of the weapon. Its Blue bolts mark it as a clone war hold over but that doesnt take away from its lethal capabilities.
These guns are rare finds and are worth the money if you can afford it. Never steal one however. Most of them are in the hands of Mandos, and unless you have a death wish, head my warnings.
Armsmiths have also produced a magnum version: heavier, bigger, and with enough power to own a gundark. Make sure never to find yourself on the buisness end of its barrel.

The Miraluka were a humanoid species. Their language was Miralukese, although some, like Jerec and Visas Marr, preferred Basic. They differed from humans in that they lacked pupils or irises, instead bearing only vestigal white orbs(or in some cases, such as Visas Marr, empty sockets), and perceived the environment around them through the Force instead of regular vision. For moral reasons, Miraluka hid the appearance of their eyes by wearing a headband, a mask, or similar concealing headwear. As a Force-using species, Miraluka were often quite shocked if shown life not connected to the Force.

Despite their inherent connection to the Force, Miralukan Jedi were quite rare, and Miralukan Sith were completely unheard of in the galaxy prior to the years following the Jedi Civil War.

Their original homeworld was Alpheridies. A colony world of the Miraluka named Katarr was stripped of all life by Sith Lord Darth Nihilus in approximately 3,952 BBY, during a Jedi meeting. The only survivor of this colony world was the Miraluka Visas Marr. Other Miraluka were Shoaneb Culu (a Jedi Shadow) and the Dark Jedi Jerec, one of the Emperor's Hands.

Capsule:

The Galactic Liberation Front was a counter-Imperial movement formed during the Sith-Imperial war. In reality, the GLF was actually made up of two parts, which later rallied into the GLF. Each part will be discussed in seperate.

The Community was an anti-Imperial movement that formed among space-traders and smugglers in the Rim territories. This group was struggling to survive with Imperial trade embargoes and grotesque taxes and thus formed a secret group that had officers in official positions, letting the smugglers and pirates work around the trade laws. The Community then caught on as an anti-Imperial sentiment, and several planets officially became designated as Communes, where anti-Imperials could come and be sheltered. Families such as the Starsingers, the administrators of Cloud City on Bespin became affiliated with the thought of an anti-Imperialistic Community, and the name was thus bastardized into any anti-Imperial sentiment. The Community's military forces were mainly pirate groups' forces.

The Galactic Alliance Core Forces was also an anti-Imperial movement, but unlike the Community, was initially founded for political reasons. The CotA was first formed by displaced politicians when the Galactic Alliance officially crumbled. As such, this conglomeration of politicians, ambassadors and the like began dissent in the Core and Colonies. Militaristicly, the CotA had more then the Community, as they were allied with worlds such as Mon Calamari, famous for being a dissenting planet. The Mon Cal shipyards were permanently allied with the CotA, even dispite Imperial Production bans. Members of KDY also allied with the CotA, because of connections with former Grand Admiral Pellaeon's work with the Galactic Alliane.

The 'modern' Acclamator, completely upgraded versus it's Clone Wars counter-part. Better armor and shields, a faster hyperdrive, and bolder guns, and still the same cargo space, a single one of these ships is better even than the favored Victory Star Destroyers. All Acclamantors carry 10 squadrons of 4 bombers (40) and 20 squadrons of 7 predators (140). Crew includes 700 personel, 20 AT-ATs, 40 AT-STs, 40 TIE ap-1s, three pre-fab bases, and 16,000 personel for ground deploy in vehicles or pre-fab base. All 12 quad turbolasers, 24 laser cannons, and 4 missile tubes are state-of-the-art. It's capable of 4000G, with a Class 1 hyperdrive. It's downside? Too many possible uses for one ship; the downfall of its predecessor.

Original design by Mitth'raw'nauruodo.
Final design by Elshaek'en'etnauruodo.

*NOTE- The 700 crew personel includes pilots, stormtrooper guards, technicians, officers, etc. Droids do not count to population.

They are ideal raiders, though not able to be mass-produced as effieciently as the TIE, but only until recently, they haven't been needed in as much bulk.

It is capable to produce much cheaper versions lacking hyperdrive and life-support, vertially recreating the TIEs in all but name and power. Naturally, these craft are the stronger of the two.

Because of their retracable wings, a Star Destroyer can hold twice as many Predators as it could TIEs.

Note from the Editor: This partial copy of the Imperial manual for the Imperial Class Star Destroyer came to our shop illegally. But we don't care! So we give you a look inside the imperial users manual.

1.0 Imperator-CLASS INTRODUCTION
1.1 MISSION OBJECTIVES

Pursuant to Imperial Naval Defense Directives 12.3 & 12.2, Imperial Tactical Doctrine, Recommendations of the Imperial Security Bureau and Imperial Order Number 47, the following objectives have been established for an Imperator-Class Star Destroyer:

1. Ensure Imperial security through rapid response to threat forces.

2. Serve as the first-line of defense in military combat operations and lend support to police actions.

3. Provide autonomous capability for full execution of Imperial defense policy options in outlying territories and border areas.

4. Take on the burden of border patrol and threat-response operations from other starship classes currently, and projected to be, in use.

5. Provide a mobile platform for testing and implementation of mission-specific or new technology, specifically in the areas of covert and tactical operations.

6. Serve as a platform capable of rapid deployment for special and covert operations deemed necessary by the Empire.

1.2 DESIGN STATISTICS

Length: 1,600 meters
Cargo capacity: 36,000 metric tons
Hull: A Tritanium composite hull reinforced by ceramic composites and augmented by durasteel structural members

1.3 GENERAL OVERVIEW

An Imperator-class Star Destroyer is a heavily armored combat vessel developed at the Kuat Drive Yards in response to the appearance of more effective weaponry in the Separatist Arsenal. The project was officially begun in 3 P.E. by the Republic’s Defense Initiative under less then ideal conditions, as far as the accepted normal sequence of research, development, testing, and evaluation was concerned. Fortunately, a number of hardware innovations and design adaptations were already in the inventory and allowed for an acceptable level of reliability versus speed of systems integration and vehicle construction.

Imperator-class vessels are constructed of standard tritanium alloys and composites. The bridge is placed upon the top of a newly designed command tower on the vessel’s aft quarter. The combined dorsal and ventral bays of the Venerator class Star Destroyers has been replaced by a pair of ventral bays, one of which is large enough to easily accommodate a Corellian CR90 Corvette or any other vessel of similar size.

The classical design features of the Venator class have been removed for the most part from the Imperator class. Gone are the gun decks, directly crewed heavy weapons, Hanger Bay doors, and artistic notched hull. The arrival of the next generation of warship features and new tactical doctrine has made these more a hindrance then a help. They have been replaced by a variety of new technological and design innovations. The gun bays have been replaced by autonomous armored turrets and remotely directed turbolaser clusters. The notched hull has given way to a more angular design so as to allow all guns a clear field of fire directly ahead. These changes make the Imperator much more flexible in combat.

1.4 CONSTRUCTION HISTORY

The Imperator was the prototype vessel for the Galactic Republic’s Imperator-class Star Destroyer. It was designed to replace the already ageing Venator fleets used by the Republic fleet throughout the clone wars. The first ship of her class, the Imperator was finished mere days after the end of the Clone Wars, and her sister ship the Exactor participated in the subjugation of Kashyyk a mere six weeks after the war’s end. The speedy design and construction of the vessel is all the more amazing when the war footing of the Republic is considered.

Overall responsibility for the Imperator project rested with Lead Designer Lira Wessex, though a number of other officers including several clone commanders were responsible for day-to-day operations. The Imperator project began with the selection of an existing hull design. The KDY Design team selected KDY Hull Design 312, one of a number of hull designs proposed by their engineers during the run up to the Clone Wars. The hull was extensively modified from its original conceptualization, but retained its overall arrowhead shape. In this stage of development a number of speed trials with different engine configurations were attempted. The designers quickly found that while it was possible for the hull to enter an atmosphere, it was unsuitable for atmospheric duty due to its lack of aerodynamic features and maneuvering fins. The designers also found that the reactor they had originally planned to utilize, one which was almost an exact copy of the Venator’s reactor, lacked the power to propel the hull at speeds required by the Republic Design Bureau’s specifications. Instead of abandoning the large hull the design team instead decided to utilize the reactor of a Mandator Class Star Dreadnaught. This larger reactor couldn’t fit in the original mount and the hull was quickly modified to accommodate it with the addition of a large ventral bulb. Even so the reactor had to be cut down to fit within the hull, later production models would use a reactor designed specifically for the ship, even so the reactor wasn’t much different from the modified Mandator class’s utilized on the prototype. With this larger reactor the maximum speed of a Star Destroyer when accelerating in a straight line was drastically increased to the point where even Corellian CR90s could be caught with use of gravity assist.

Early on in its development the Imperator was regarded as a fast attack destroyer capable of atmospheric flight. Its designers planned to equip it with six torpedo launchers and a large complement of both ion cannon and laser weapons. However, as the Imperator project evolved, the ship was given more ambitious mission objectives. The Imperator’s design was something of a departure for KDY; the development team took the decision to abandon the traditional layout which placed the main armament and critical systems within the vessel’s ridgeline, instead the space which had been previously allotted to Atmospheric maneuvering thrusters and repulsorlifts within the brim trenches of the ship was designated for weaponry. Additionally complaints from the front about the exposure of drive systems on the Venator class lead the team to modify the hull to ensure maximum protection of the engine systems. This increased the Imperator’s mass and displacement as well as increasing the length of the ship’s keel. Considerable effort went into making the Imperator faster and more heavily armed than standard Republic vessels. It was equipped with both a hyper-drive and ion engines; by running a plasma conduit through direct from the ship’s tibanna storage to the main gun positions, the designers almost doubled the rate of fire for onboard weapons, and boosted the efficiency transfer of energy from coil to blaster gas by ten percent.

The Republic, seemingly in need of additional combat vessels rushed the vessel straight into production. The first two ships, Imperator and Exactor, rolled out of Kuat’s space docks within a year of production starting up.

2.0 COMMAND SYSTEMS
2.1 MAIN BRIDGE

The bridge layout of a powerful Imperator-class Star Destroyer is compact, but nonetheless accommodates the familiar engineering, tactical, gunnery, helm, and flight ops stations. The main bridge acts as the nerve center for this Destroyer and shares a vast number of features with both the Venator Class Bridge and the bridge of the larger Executor Class. Access to the bridge is provided by two turbolift clusters at the back, located on both port and starboard sides. Just forward of the starboard entryway is the location of the ship's dedication plaque, as well as an auxiliary computer access panel.

The center of the bridge features the lone command chair, which is on the raised deck above the crew pit and has a clear view of all the bridge stations, as well as the main viewports. Directly behind the chair are two viewscreens which can be used to supervise operations at any point on the ship. On both sides of the command chair are separate control panels, allowing the occupant access to virtually every system aboard the ship. Most Commanders on these vessels have decided to remove the command chair because they feel they’re better at coordinating the efforts of their crew by moving about the bridge.

All critical combat posts and stations for most of the operation systems are located within the crew pit which is on either side of the catwalk which is reserved for senior personnel and non-combat stations.

Behind the Command Chair are two holographic communications room and the holo-comm communications station. Additionally holographic images of the commanders from other ships can be projected onto the bridge proper for informal conferences. A number of non-combat systems have their stations here among them are encrypted-communications, universal inter-ship communications, tractor beam control, and engineering.

3.0 TACTICAL SYSTEMS
3.1 Turbolaser Cannons

Earlier production ships of the ancestry of the Imperator class such as the Venator utilized a hybrid turbolaser / ion cannon for use against droid warships, with the downfall of the Trade Federation and the increasing use of mercenary crews aboard Separatist vessels it quickly became clear that these hybrid cannons lacked the range and punch that would be required for use against crewed starships. For this reason the Kuat Drive Yards Design team reverted to the already tried and true technology of blaster weaponry.

The Kuat Drive Yards team made marked improvements over the older designs for turbolasers and incorporated the newest generation of turbolaser designs and equipment into the ship. Among these innovations were remote targeting systems which could place gunners safely behind hulls systems as well as improvements in energy distribution and cooling. The Kuat Drive Yards team also abandoned the older system of gas cylinders for weapon loading and replaced it with a direct feed of tibanna gas into the weapon systems.

The Kuat Drive Yards also incorporated the brand new Taim & Bak XX-6 Turbolaser into the design. These large dual weapons batteries were emplaced on the upper sections of the main hull. These six dual class 10 turbolasers were the heaviest on the vessel.

In addition to the modified XX-6 Turbolaser batteries, sixty dual turbolasers batteries of Kuat Drive Yards own design were scattered across the hull, the majority of which were scattered along the axial trenches that lined the ship. These batteries were capable of firing blasts once every two to three seconds depending upon configuration and power setting. Each bolt could deliver over 14,000 TW of energy against a target.

Additionally each star destroyer is equipped with a number of point defense laser cannons, each capable of delivering 1,200 TW of energy against a target at one time.

Turbolaser Range: Maximum effective range is 120,000 kilometers.

3.2 TORPEDO LAUNCHERS

To the Imperial Navy the utility of missile and torpedo systems has dropped with further development of targeting systems and range of turbolaser batteries. As such it has become a common practice for Imperial captains to remove weapons of this type from their vessels. However, the vast majority of Imperator Star Destroyers are equipped standard with six class six proton torpedo launchers. Like with most KDY designs, the torpedo tubes are a homegrown design equipped with magazine storage that draws straight from the Star Destroyer’s primary magazine.

Each launcher is capable of launching torpedoes in a variable setting, firing them in single shots or short bursts of three torpedoes. Due to the need to program the torpedoes homing system there is normally a delay of as much as ten to twenty seconds between torpedo volleys. Additionally, direct reloading from the magazine may take an even longer amount of time due to the transport of munitions by turbolift.
The launchers are clustered in groups of three at the large trench indentation along each side of the vessel.

Payload: The design enables direct reloading from the ship’s magazine which can contain as many as 1,000 warheads with ease. Each launcher however has on sight storage for as many as twenty warheads.
Range: Maximum effective range is 300,000 kilometers.

3.3 DEFLECTOR SHIELDS

Kuat Drive Yards recognized that the reactor which they’d installed in the Imperator Class was capable of powering shield systems far greater then they’d originally planned. The small fixed area projectors and area specific generators of the Venator Class had already been proven to be on the verge of obsolete. They made commanding and controlling shielding much more difficult. The KDY design team once again went back to some of the shield generation systems and projection systems they’d first developed for ground defense. Ironically many of these shield systems had been purchased by the Separatists and were proving to be a difficulty for the Outer Rim sieges.

The Imperator Design team redesigned their ground based shield generation system known as the 48x Shield Generator and boosted both the power output and field stability, the result was the ISD-64x Shield Generator. With further refinement since production started a number of more advanced Shield Generators have succeeded the ISD-64x, these include the ISD-72x, ISD-80x, and ISD-98x.

The Kuat Design Team decided that the installation of 18 separate shield generators would enable the Imperator’s Dorsal, Ventral, Bow, Stern, Port, and Starboard shields to operate as an entire unit. Each shield vector’s projector grid was directly tied into three shield generators buried deep within the hull. This configuration protects the shield generator’s themselves from direct harm but fails to protect the projector grid. Many parts of the projector grid are exposed, especially the dorsal shields which are projected from arrays mounted on the sensor domes. This design creates a blind spot in the shields directly between the arrays. The KDY team calculated that the probability of an attacker to directly target that part in battle as extremely low, however newer versions of the Imperator class have been modified to remove the blind spot.

Standard flight operations require that at least two generators be operational at any given moment. At high levels of alert, all generators are brought online and create a multilayered deflection field around the ship. In combat situations, the field is typically within several meters of the hull.

3.4 OTHER SYSTEMS

Like most vessels in the Imperial Navy, the Imperator class Star Destroyer is equipped with a number of secondary combat systems. The most obvious of these is the batteries of Ion Cannons used as part of the main armament of the ship.

Ion Cannons are useful in only a small number of combat situations. They inflict a limited amount of physical damage on their target, but instead they deliver a damaging electromagnetic surge which cascades through a ship’s systems and electronics. They are primarily used to disable target vessels as well as to take down a vessel’s shields in ship to ship combat. They’re utility against a ship’s armored hull is negligible.
Kuat Drive Yards has a long history of designing and building Ion Cannons, among these is the V-150 Planetary Defender. These powerful ion cannons are capable of disabling almost any ship. The Imperator Design Team took KDY’s experience with Ion Cannon technology and designed a number of different ion cannons for use on the Imperator. Among these are two dual class five ion cannon turrets, and sixty smaller dual mounted class three ion cannons.

However, most people on any civilized world with any kind of danger usually carry at least one blaster pistol, liscensed or no, so access is pretty common, and possession rarely enforced. The basic blaster pistol uses energy packs for power, with enough energy for 100 shots standard. Blaster gas must usually be rifilled in the weapon, and amounts vary among the variants.

Heavy blaster pistols- The heavy blaster pistol is a kind of halfway point between blaster pistol and blaster rifle. They're heavier, more tempermental, and have shorter ranges than blaster pistols, but pack a lot more punch. This drains energy packs more quickly, and the standard amount of shots each supplies is around 50. Heavy blaster pistols are restricted on most planets, but recently bans have been lifted on older weapons now deemed 'collector's items.' They're commonly used by law enforcement officers, body guards, military personnel, and most commonly, criminals.

Hold out blasters- Hold out blasters, some types of which are also called palm blasters, disposable blasters, or throwaways, are small, easily concealed energy weapons that can fit into a pocket, a satchel, or the folds of a robe with little difficulty. Because they're so easy to conceal, ownership is restricted on most worlds, but such laws are difficult to enforce, and are usually applied as additional charges if a criminal possesses one when they're caught for an unrelated crime. They're usually used by beurocrats and the wealthy, as well as gamblers, and as a last-resort weapon for outlaws. The typical hold-out blaster uses energy cells rather than bulky power packs, and so have a relatively low capacity of 6 shots.

Sporting blaster pistols- sporting blasters are perhaps the most common blasters out there, when it comes to civillian ownership. They're much less powerful than other blaster pistols, but are often more aesthetically pleasing,as they're geared to a larger market that doesn't much care for specs above average. They typically have power packs with energy for 100 shots.

Subject: Idiots guide to Chiss names
Capsule:

With the rise of the Chiss as a significant Galactic Power it has become necessary for those of us to learn a little bit about the Chiss, their culture and names. This is especially true because a number of chiss have been masquerading as members of important families which they are not part of.

The most famous member of the Chiss is undoubtably Grand Admiral Thrawn, or Mitth'raw'nuruodo. Many in the Galaxy believe that Thrawn's family name is Nuruodo. This is not the case. Like a few other galactic cultures the Chiss place their family name first, therefore the family name for Thrawn is Mitth.

So what do the other two parts of the name mean? Well the last part is the name of the immediate parent. So if Thrawn had a daughter her name would be Mitth'athie'raw or Hathier. Make sense?

So if some seductive chiss female tries to get you thinking she's Thrawn's long lost grandaughter and her name is Kar'ack'nuruodo she isn't... But you might want to let her have her fantasy anyway.

Useful for Chiss fanboys everywhere. However, studies have shown that this is one of the least read articles in the Guide. Apparently some people just don't give a damn about naming conventions anymore.

The Victory-class Star Destroyers are arguably the most influential ships in Empirial history. The Victory I Star Destroyers made before the Battle of Utapau were the largest ships to date, and comparably still have fairly dense armor and enough firepower to take on a pair of Acclamantors, easy. The Victory IIs however, had thinner armor, less hangar room, and more powerful engines, making it better suited for recon. The Victory IV now is the middle of the road: everything retrofitted to a modern level while still keeping the same design.

Essentially, while Acclamantors were used mainly as troop transports, Victories and Venators served better as warships, and this is essentially the case here. The Victory IV carries 4700 crew with only 500 additional stormtroopers. However, this baby can carry up to 50 squadrons of 4 bombers (200) and 100 squadrons of 7 predators (700). Arms include 10 quad turbolaser batteries, 40 double turbolaser batteries, 80 concussion missles, and ten tractor beam projectors. In size, a Victory is roughly half the size of an Imperator. In power, a Victory IV can outfly and overpower an ISD or take on a pair of Acclamantor Mark IIIs.

Argueably my a**. The ISD is the more influential ship. The only reason he probably cranked this out is because Thrawn picked a Vic as his flagship when he was a Grand Admiral. By the way, Rendili Stardrives called. Aparently they want to have a rather expensive discussion with you regarding trademark laws.

And meet the ship's cousin. Just about the same ship, except a carrier. An overhaul if you will.

Lacking in resources, surrounded by a blockade of hostile Imperials, and threatened by war with the Sith, rouge warlord-wannabe Elladan Kenet was forced to retrofit the designs of his warships into a carrier, instead of being able to make the 4km behemoths he originally planned.

As a carrier, there are obviously major differences between this ship and its counterpart. The first being, that the ship can only go about 30G, and has a Class 1.5 hyperdrive. Second, while the ship is a good hundred yards longer, making it the largest ship he has, all of it's hangar room and troop center has been dedicated into one massive hangar, that even compromises the engines. It carries a single wing of craft, mixed fighters and bombers. Combined with its very minimal armament: two concussion missle launchers and 10 double turbolaser cannons, the ship is little more than a flying box with tin plating and some fancy paintball guns.
