just messing. there's such a thing as microwave rice. apparently americans don't generally use rice as a staple (which was mind-blowing for me as a child) so they don't generally use a rice cooker

i remember when i took my friend to a thai restaurant and he ordered this pork chop over rice and all he ate was the chop, and he was like "damn they gave me so much rice wtf"

and i was like "***** you're supposed to eat the chop WITH the rice"


and a keffiyeh or a shemagh is the name of that head scarf that originated in the middle east.

I just.. Don't understand why rice isn't a staple here. It's the ultimate fillerfood. You can barely taste it, and the more you eat, the less you eat the other stuff. It's nutritionally nuetral, so really... Why aren't more people eating it?
